Thank you so much! It took me 20 min. to type in “single needle embroidery beanie”!!! Today I found beanies ON SALE at Old Navy and THEY ARE NOT ACRYLIC! Acrylic makes me itch! I got several, hoping I could find a tutorial!
THANK YOU so much for this great tutorial. I was able to follow you easily and my first beanie was perfect. I am practicing on beanies I purchased for my grand kids.
Great video. I'm going to try to do a beanie after seeing this. One question: What kind of needle do you use in your machine? Is it just a regular needle or do I need a stretch needle or something?
Thank you so much for the tutorial. My daughter brought me a brother SE400 years ago for sawing it has the attachment for embroidery, after watching your video now I want to try it.
This was such an awesome tutorial! I love it. I am looking into doing some embroidery and this was a great demo for me. Thank you so much for sharing ❤❤the beanie was so cute!!
When working with this type of material it is recommended so your stitches don’t sink into the fabric. The wash away stabilizer helps keep the stitches on top of the fabric.
I have a pe900, I have to turn the jump stitch trimming off or else it will not pickup the next stitches. Have you had this issue and if so, how did you fix it? I turned the jump stitch trimming off and it worked but it is a feature I want to take advantage of since it is available.
@ I called brother and they told me to update the software. It didn’t help. I did wind my own bobbin, turned the trimming feature back on and it worked. I guess I’ll have to wind my own bobbin to use it 🤷🏽♀️
After watching your videos I decided the PE535 was a good 1st machine to start with & I was able to get a really good deal during Amazon prime! Thanks to you, I made my 1st iron-on patch today, yay ❤ and am ready to try a beanie now aka skully where I’m from. What’s a good digitizing software?
Excellent tutorial. Think I'm ready to try a beanie now.
Thank you! You got this!
You did a great job explaining the process. Thank you so much

@@liekeschokker1176 you can use a regular 75/11 needle for a beanie ❤️
Omg! Thank you so much this is the most easiest video I found so far...I haven't tried yet, but in my mind Im a pro in making this beanie lol
Lol! I’m sure you’ll do great!
This is super helpful. What tension would you use?
I watch several of these and this was by far the absolute best instruction on a single needle beanie hat. Thank you !!

Excellent tutorial. Easy to understand. Thank you!
Great tutorial...but I'm having trouble getting my hoop togather with the thickness of the hat. I will keep trying!
Great tutorial
Do you not use the same color bobbin thread as the top thread? Just black for the bobbin every time?
I only use black or white bobbin with these since it will not show. I use black on darker colors & white for lighter colors.
Nice!! Thank you i appreciate your videos. They are very helpful. 😊
Thank you! Thanks for watching!
Thank you
You’re welcome
so you used a knock down stitch appliqué right?
Great video. Thank you
Awesome tutorial!! Thank you very much!!
You’re welcome!
Great video!!!
What size needle do you use? Thank you 🙏
A 75/11 is the size I use when making beanies
Question.. Is the water soluble stabilizer required? Or what’s the purpose of it?
When working with this type of material it is recommended so your stitches don’t sink into the fabric. The wash away stabilizer helps keep the stitches on top of the fabric.
@@AllThingsShun thank you !!
Can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. U make the hooping look pretty easy.
Awesome tutorial.
Thank you!
What tension do you use?
I believe I have my tension set to 2 or 3
Now you got me interested in doing this lol. What a good ‘embroidery machine to start out with? I may have to wait til January to get one lol
Hey Mary! I would suggest either a Brother PE625 or Brother PE535 for a good starter machine
great instructions!!
Hi there. What needles size are you using the standard 75/11?
Yes 75/11
Thank you. This very simple for me. What tension is your machine on?
Thanks for watching! I’m not sure about at the moment, I’d have to check the machine when I get back home
@@AllThingsShun awesome!!! Thanks so much for taking time out.
What is the name of the clear paper you use on the hat thank you
It’s water soluble stabilizer

I always have my trimming on and have not had any problems. I'll look into this and see if there is a fix for you.
@ thank you!

Ma’am please what machine are you using? I’m trying to get one
Brother PE900
Love the design and colors. Where did you purchased the design?
Some of them I got from Creative Fab, the others I digitized
I live it. I have a Brother Se700. Can you do a tutorial on how to design a template for the hat?
Sure. Are you interested in learning how to digitize?
@@AllThingsShun yes I am. I have the PE11 software but I'm looking into getting embrilliance
@@AllThingsShun can you show us
Hi Shun. Thank you for the tutorial. How big was your design?
It was about 3.50x2.5
Looks amazing! This may seem like a silly question but what is the water soluble paper for
It's to help hold ur fabric during the stitching to prevent puckering or stretching
Beyond Amazing video!! Thank You
Thanks for watching!
I am struggling to put my hoop on no matter what tutorial I use. How did you get yours on so easily?
Make sure you have your hoop loose enough and do not stretch your hat at all while hooping.
Congratulations!! I use embrilliance stitch artist or mySewnet for digitizing
If you're experienced with vector art and you're willing to take on the challenge, you can also use inkscape with the inkstitch extension for free.
Thank you
You’re welcome
I am so disappointed! Have been trying for nearly 2 hrs to hoop my beanie & I can’t get it in! 😢
Make sure you unscrew your hoop enough because the beanies are thick material
