I had 2014 F15 X5 35d, 27 mpg all day everyday, reliable and just best daily driver...I sold it off and bought a F02 740Ld a diesel 7 series couldn't be happier with that decision!
36:33 Oil leak i would check the valve cover gasket, it likes to leak in the back and drain down towards the exhaust, I have that to sort out on my car too as its staring to weep around it 😭
I bought a 2012 e70 x5 last year with the m57 that only had 50k miles. The BMW diesels are awesome, esp the m57. Immediately deleted the swirl flaps, EGR and EGR cooler, cleaned out the intake manifold and ports and shes golden. Tuned with a Malone stage 2. Gets better mileage AND better power with the tune. I use Hot Shot EDT one every fill up to keep the injectors and pump happy.
@@AddictedMotors Great purchase. Your wife I'm sure will love it as much as mine loves ours. I too love the diesel power like you mentioned. We can go over 600 miles on one tank on road trips as well. The thing is a cruiser. Our garages are very similar (but I have a lot less vehicles haha). Wife drives the x5D, I drive an lr3 and have a low mileage E36 m3 for a weekend car.
IMO the M57N2 it's the best engine for the X5

I’ll take out the run flats for Michelin defender Ltx and love the ride
much needed update thou

In b4 the cp4 pump fails and you need a full fuel system over haul.
My man wants to "have less", just not less than 9 cars at a time 🤣
Please don’t swap to the dark side…the range rovers is what has brought me to your channel.
I sold a Volvo and bought a diesel BMW. If anything I’m doubling down.
Wife currently has a Tiguan but I’ve been looking at the X5 but never considered the diesel
Edit: now I’ve gotten to then end, maybe I keep looking 😂
Eh. Every car needs everything.
Citroen DS Safari is a good family car.
