@@agcamprubi4544 4.4. Supercharged was tempting, there was one for sale for not much more than my NA but I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew. Once I get comfortable wrenching on this one, I'll work my way up to an SC.
@@agcamprubi4544 it's a 4.4. There was a SC near me for not too much more than my NA but I didn't want to bite off more than I could chew. Will probably start looking into those once I get familiar with wrenching on these.
@@AddictedMotors Its an acquired taste for sure. I picked up my L322 and dumped $7k into deferred maintenance. Still have to do the transfer case but Its a rust free Blue/ Blue 5.0SC which was exactly the color combo I was looking for. Only issue is some of the cameras go blue every so often. Not enough to prompt me to remove the seat and replace the camera module. Other than that, I like it more than the 405 which the wife has taken over. The Softdash is fully restored so it only goes to the grocery store.....and parked in the nosebleed section.
I’ve been wanting a Disco 1 for so long now, but prices seem to be going up for a decent, non-clapped out on here on the West Coast. Now I’m looking at LR3’s.
Sold my SC L322 a few years ago. Got a little too big for me, parts are way more expensive than other LR models, and I had gotten the L322 out of my system after 5 years of ownership. Currently own a Series 2a, an LR4 5.0 V8 and just picked up an 04 D2! The Freelander never appealed to me so I disagree with you on it defining an enthusiast. Rovers are addictive!
Can't lie I'm a glutton for punishment with these things lol. Looking for my 3rd one hopefully a mid 2000s L322 with the 5.0 if i can find one at auction that's not mechanically damaged lol🤦🏾♂️
I daily my Discovery 1 and have done so for years and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
The D1 looks “HELLA” cool 👍
I just dove into the deep end and purchased an 08 L322. So far so good 🤞
Good choice.
4.4 or 4.2?

Love these style videos dude, hope we get some more off-road content in the near future!
@@rustyintheoutdoors thanks for watching! More to come.
Love them all.....except the Freelander. Current brood is a Softdash, 2012 L322 SC and a L405SC
I can smell them.

@@rustyintheoutdoors don’t.
@ You think a D1 would be okay though? (I have a Jeep TJ and don’t mind tinkering on old rigs, within reason.)

I'd love a 5.0 but how do you deal with the timing chain issues? Do you look for service history showing the improved guides have been installed?
Should've added in a bit about the OBS Ford. Would've been interesting to get your take on its ownership compared to the LR's

@AddictedMotors Really? Not the answer I was expecting to be sure.
@@taylorglenn9329 dozens of videos on it
