Can you IMAGINE how disappointing it would've been if RDJ didn't have that last line? Gosh. The emotion in his eyes in that one was just the pinnacle.

On paper it probably seemed a lot cheesier but he says it with so much intensity and the scene (and past 10 years of his career) builds up to it so well...that line was worth the entire movie lol

@@GorcStew Interestingly enough the line was never on paper. The editor came up with the line "And I am Iron Man". That scene was also shot in the same studio Robert Downey Jr auditioned for Iron Man ten years ago. Fun fact.

It surprises me that it was a late edition, it fits so perfect. I heard people in my theater saying "SAY IT!" after Thanos says "I'm inevitable" and they cut to Tony with the Stones.

We couldn't see who was back there so we just sat back down for the end credit scenes that never showed up. That blows my mind that the Russo brothers were there watching the movie with us. The energy of the theater was definitely insane, probably the best theater experience I've ever had. My theatre clapped three times when I saw it about a week ago. When Cap caught the hammer, when Tony said “I... am... Iron Man” and snapped his fingers, and then a third time in between, I can’t remember what it was bc there were so many awesome moments. Also when Black Panther walked out some kid in my theatre yelled “WAKANDA FOREVA” and half of the people there laughed and “aww”ed. I loved this film so much; the action was so good that I was giggling the entire last hour, and I got chills when we finally saw all these heroes together, ready to fight (the way Civil War should’ve gone, but it’s fine, I’m more than happy with Endgame). I don’t cry during movies, but pretty much everything in the last few scenes made me tear up. Thinking about the big picture while watching the end of the story is what got me; comic book movies weren’t that big when Iron Man came out, but they turned into a hit soon afterwards. TV could have never even dreamed of such a huge universe (except for maybe Power Rangers. I mean they were the ones who started the huge crossovers if you think about it🤠), and Marvel did it within 11 years. The passion and dedication that went into all of the movies really shows, and it makes me happy that this is becoming the standard now. I love Marvel for pulling this off, and I can’t wait for everything else that’s to come. I’m buying tickets for Spider-Man: Far From Home as soon as they come out no matter how expensive they get.

the theatre experience for Endgame was impressive. i cant remember watching a movie where the audience was cheering like sports fans during multiple parts of the movie. usually in a blockbuster you may get a few loud laughs and the odd cheer, but nothing like the rawr that came out of my theatre when Cap grabbed the hammer. they really know how to push peoples buttons! ...giving the fans what they wanted to see... who would have thought?

The better interpretation is that Bucky has had a past that continues to haunt him , and then the present also pushed him back into a warzone. He just wants to stop fighting and like Cap he just wishes to live a normal life. By not choosing Bucky , Cap also was giving Bucky the chance for him to live a fulfilling life away from war and suffering .

@@sash9249 What banner explained near the start is that you can't go back in time on your own timeline, because the events that happened are fixed and it would create a causality loop to do so.
So what actually happens when you go back in time in the MCU is you create an alternate timeline which has had the same events as the original, but being there has no effect on the present. This is why they were able to steal stones and it still be the case that thanos got them in infinity war.
The difficulty with cap showing up on the bench in the normal timeline is it breaks all of that, if he went back in the current timeline, it immediately raises questions like "what happened to Peggy's original husband?" And other stuff that is the exact problem that Bruce's time travel model avoids.

I wasn't aware of the bit at the end involving the hammer and anvil sound effect until I read about it online. The theater I was at shut the movie off before it got to that point.

16:30 that scene would have been great for Thor and Valkyries relationship. I feel they have great chemistry and could set up a great love interest.

The two cap movies are great and endgame is really cool with all the cattering to the fans.

The Russo's were crap as far as the Hulk. They wasted him every time.

The ending made sense because after cap's crash in the ice, he is only found after 70 years which is more than enough for present cap to go back and "survive" and live the rest of his life with Peggy, fill the 70 year void so to speak

Exaclty does his thing then comes back to present. Dust his shoulders off like nothing. Perfect arc.

I agree with the criticisms towards the handling of Hulk in this movie......but I REALLY liked Fat Thor! It made sense to me (especially now Ive seen this interview) and I didnt think he was any less powerful when it came down to it (It being the biggest and best battle in the MCU)
