All the complaining you hear after he rips Hollywood a new one, as they say the truth hurts. Gervais is a Legend. This lot needed telling they are in no position to lecture the public. In my life i have needed people like Doctors, nurses, teachers , mechanics, shop workers, farmers & a lot more. But not once have i needed a Hollywood actor. That lot need to STFU they are not important.
Actors are just representations of our dreams and fantasies. They are the luke skywalkers we look up to and the Han Solos we want to be. They are the Darth Vader’s we fear we could one day become if we felt powerless to control the outcome of our lives. Sure you don’t need them like you need a doctor.. . Many actors are just overpaid adults who didn’t get enough attention as a child. But very few people will ever make it in show business. History is essentially just a collection of stories passed down. So is religion. Story telling is as important now as it has been since man first learned how to communicate. I would argue that people do need actors. Movies can remind us that we are all very much part of a unifying human experience that repeats the same patterns over and over again.. It shows us the beauty and the horror of the world, and reminds us that we’re not alone in it. That anything could be possible. ..maybe.
@@WayneZalinksy Speak for yourself fella, actors don;t represent my dreams or fantasies, don't look up to them or want to be one. I just live in the real world & not some sort of dream world. Sitting in a cinema for a couple of hours is my idea of hell, & the last time i did was 40 odd years ago & i wont do it again. I do not need actors.
kevin parker i don’t think you understand my point. If there were no dream worlds then the real world would lack innovation. Actors are just people. And all people are actors.

His Tim Allen joke's probably my favourite out of these. The way he turns the card over before reading out his name is such a simple touch, but it adds so much to the effect.

@@jl1998ch Eventually we make up our own minds. ;) I'm not a christian because my forebears were/are, I'm a christian because around the age of 16 I made up my mind about what I believe and what I don't. He sure is ! And he talks like me, cos we come from the same part of England ! We're proud of him, keep it goung, Rucky! 😊😊😊
@@cordeliahamilton1061 I've always wondered what you guys think of him im glad you love him as much as we do!

He's so good at making the entire room uncomfortable LMAO...
His sarcasm on how actors are so great and add so much to the world lol.... He dragged it on perfectly.
Steve Carrell is crazy talented for not bursting out into laughter during his roast.
"I like a drink as much as the next man....Unless the next man is Mel Gibson!" I AM HOWLING.
Over 47min and I can’t stop watching. I love it!
Thanks for putting this together. This is pure comedy gold!
Everyone looks worried when he comes on stage
I saw someone say that 'the only golden globes are the 2 between Ricky's legs' and I think that sums it up perfectly
Who else is here to rinse out Jo Koy's bad monologue
me lmaoo
It was so bad
Wasn’t that bad tbf he just didn’t take it in stride which made it worse
@@badtoxxin7909 not really. his hosting just proved his materials are just him making racist jokes about Filipinos, their lifestyle, his son's masturbating and pubic hair and making fun of his mom's accent. also, blaming your writers on stage is just so unprofessional. if he wasn't ready because of the short booking and greedy, he wouldn't have made excuses.
Imagine the scenes if Ricky hosted them this year💀
Send them Frankie Boyle next year. They'll be begging Ricky to come back.
This is the BEST comment
massacre.
Looool Frankie Boyle is soft as fuck these days
Thanks to Political wokeness & Jokes becoming a crime.
@@scottxtapes9743 So true, I always find myself watching the old panel shows since they could get away with actual jokes back then
Ricky should do the oscars
Too much to wish for
He ain’t invited lol
No way they would allow him it would be atomic 😂😂😂!!
It wouldn’t have the same impact as it is larger it lacks the ‘intimacy’ of the Beverly Hills hotel. The GGs with Ricky is more of a quasi roasting event then an award show.
A lot of slaps 😂
Thank 'God' for Ricky Gervais. If more people were like him, I'd piss myself more often. Out of laughter. Instead of inappropriately.
He would prolly answer you that God had nothing to do with it

God saved the queen in ww1 and 2? First off, which queen? If it’s England, they had kings. And how exactly did god save anyone? By starting the wars or what?

These 47 minutes is LITERALLY better than many comedy movies lmfao
Brilliant and thanks for collating all of it .. cheers from George Australia
Love that he’s now legendary after that power punching hosting he did at the Golden Globes 2020 show. It was so powerful that there are now all of these montage videos on him. He said what the masses are thinking about how out of control these elite actors have become.
He was already legendary after hosting the 4 others
A shame nothing real came of it.
This video needs to be protected at all costs
Hahaha. He has some balls someone had to do it how do u feel hollywood. He smashed it what a legend.
Elton John u the man but u have lost all sense of reality. Face like a bag of smashed crabs lol
Im sure Hollywood feels just fine haha
They've got enough figurative and literal drugs for sure
Since they keep inviting him back I think they feel fine.
Ricky is absolute comedy gold for hosting. 😂😂
This is a GOAT compilation of roasting some of the highest paid actors in the world. It's GOLD!
Yup. I haven't watched Hollywood in Yeeeeears
I am not employed to tell lies & i don't feel the need to respect anyone who is.
@@WayneZalinksy You are right i don't understand your point because it doesn't have one. Ricky Gervais pointed out what a useless superfluous bunch of assholes they are & i agree. Plus i find it helps me to NOT live in a dream world & believe the bull shit they peddle. If fantasy is your motivator you need to hope its not the true pioneers, or we would all be up shit creak! You are welcome to keep your head full of shit, being sane i will stay where i am.
This was the BEST Golden Globes EVER!!!! I loved watching it, & I never watch these, I came upon it on accident that night! Ricky is the best!
“And thank you to god, for making me an atheist” 😂
That one killed me. Amazing dude.
We’re not talking about this joke enough
His Tim Allen joke's probably my favourite out of these. The way he turns the card over before reading out his name is such a simple touch, but it adds so much to the effect.
Tim Allen doesn't agree
There is no filter from his brain to his mouth , I love that !
"It's funny cause it's true"
Ricky Gervais is the GOAT, the way he delivers the joke is amazing
Wow the audience reaction to the Scientology joke starting at 12:20 was way more dramatic than any from 2020.
you don’t mess with Cruise I guess
That was a great joke had me in stitches

I gain more respect for the actors who can laugh at themselves when targeted directly and still have a good time because it's just a laugh - the ones who just get angry take themselves far too seriously
Thanks for the compilation! I'm still giggling.

@@jl1998ch Exactly, well said.
@@jl1998ch Eventually we make up our own minds. ;)
I'm not a christian because my forebears were/are, I'm a christian because around the age of 16 I made up my mind about what I believe and what I don't.
That said, I'm sure there are plenty who only believe something because they grew up in it, but, even then, eventually people should start thinking for themselves, and if they don't, well, they made that choice as well.
Have a nice day. :)

But I wonder in his case, I do not know. He did maintain a piece of the narrative, but battled the rest; he did more good than harm.

Ricky Gervais is absolutely amazing.
Honest, hilarious and hopeful in what he delivers. Rare, gutsy and honest. Hej is one of a kind. I truthfully respectful.
I love it. It's rare with honest guys like this appear in serious stuff
Steve Buscemi's face after he just merely mentioned Boardwalk Empire. Like "Oh no, please no"
It stood out for me as well, but I think he might have been fearing another joke about his teeth, or eyes, alcoholism, whatever... He's received the brunt of many a joke which is also reflected in most of his characters, including the more sinister ones (carl, that animal blundetto, nucky...). I like that Ricky knew better. It's been done ;)
Most people would be nervous hosting this, especially for the first time. But within 2:30 minutes of his very first stint hosting the Golden Globes he is ripping them apart. He literally doesn't care and he has genuine contempt for Hollywood. Legend
I don't think he was nervous, he had done loads of stand up before this.
He's a genius! I think he took this year's job to host because he's fed up and wanted to say what everyone who doesn't have the position to say he said it. I've been a fan of his since the original Office was coming out with new episodes. I don't agree with all his views. But I love his open mind and confidence. Kudos to him for speaking out against oversensitive nonsense.
Ricky is great. A true legend.

All the faces of the stars looked disgusted in a lot of them

KieranFuller17 Amazing that part. I read an interview where Tim Allen said ‘I didn’t get the joke I was waiting for the punchline but it never came’ and apparently Hanks didn’t either. Shows how dead their sense of humour is.
What makes him really interesting , is he laughs along with the audience , he really enjoys what he do
Now that i've seen his past times his newest one feels even more savage like he truly didn't held back anymore and i love it.
