Tony going back in time and meeting his father was such an underrated sad moment in End Game, most people are focusing on the "Love you 3000 thing" (and rightfully so) but Tony meeting his father who tells him he'd do anything for his son was still memorable since Tony grew up believing his father didn't care for him as he never displayed that kind of affection.

The moment when Thor says "I knew it!" after Cap picks up the hammer. It just says so much on so many levels about each of the characters and how they view each other... there's a sense of joy in his exclamation that sticks with me.
I loved how real they showed the loss of that many people over different periods of time. The initial snap of shock and sadness; weeks later with anger, vengeance, and a large dose of PTSD; then five years later how some people were frozen in that depression(Thor) or vengeance (Clint) and the few who could move on, but not fully(Stark). Just simply that child in the street that Scott Lang asks "what's happened here?"...that moment of trauma coming back to the surface for him as he hardens himself and rides away.
@@madelion24 It's incredible how they handled the trauma they go through. They were handled so decently and so subtly as well, it's incredible story telling.
After watching Endgame the 2nd time round, I realised in the scene just before Cap returns all the stones that Bucky already knew what Cap was gonna do. Bucky told Cap “I’m gonna miss u” so he already knew he wasn’t coming back. Bucky also knew to look for the older Cap at that bench, and by telling Sam to “go ahead”, he knew Cap was gonna hand Sam the shield. Cap & Bucky had a whole conversation before that scene, that we’ll hopefully get to see in the Falcon & Winter Soldier series.
Another interpretation I've heard about that scene is that Cap was prepared to give the shield to whoever decided to walk up to him while he was sitting on the bench. He had already determined that Bucky and Falcon were both worthy but it was up to the two of them to decide. Bucky let Sam go to Cap because he himself didn't feel worthy. The whole point of "Captain America" is that he is nearly perfect in every way. That's not to say that mistakes can't or won't ever be made, but at his heart, Cap is the epitome of "Good". Bucky's entire history is dark and while he was technically under the influence when he did evil things, he still did them and I don't think he has, and possibly never will, forgive himself for it.
what i thought was, it was tony’s dad who made the shield and bucky (under the influence of hydra) killed him so maybe for the sake of showing some respect, cap gave the shield to sam...
@Green Gzzz if you don't like her, The Black Widow then simply you don't deserve to watch MCU... She is the backbone of avengers..she did everything to keep them together...!!!
Watching this made me realize just how different these two brothers are. Joe Russo is rugged and fidgety, sitting with his legs wide open while Anthony and dignified and poised, with his legs crossed. Interesting to see their personalities make their way into the movies. The perfect ying-yang situation.
Joe sits like that because he's fatish and can't get comfortable in that chair. Cant cross his legs or sit up because he needs different back support than that chair offers.
I see no recognition towards Joss Whedon here, the guy had mental breakdowns and nearly destroyed his sanity tying to make the best movies he could. Films like Avengers and Age of Ultron are his, but he also was given full oversight over the entirety of phase 2. The poor guy had too much on his plate but he still made the MCU into what it is today. Personally, I see Favreau with phase 1, Whedon with phase 2, and the Russos with phase 3 as the directors that made the MCU great, with honorable mentions going to Gunn and Watiti for having a large positive influence on the MCU as well. Just thought Whedon deserved some credit here too.
when the portals opened I shed a few tears, but when cap said avengers assemble I couldn't hold it in any more. I cried. best movie moment of my lifetime
I've read the comic books, and I KNEW Captain America became worthy, so I EXPECTED to see him weild Mjolnir at some point... but my jaw still dropped for a hot minute when I saw Mjolnir fly to Cap instead of Thor! *Nerdgasm*
When we all experienced heart break and felt everything was falling apart 😢 Cap: sorry Tony, you know I wouldn’t do this if I had any other choice, but he’s my friend. Ironman: so was I...
I know, right?! After having Cap say that to him all those times in Winter Soldier, I'm sure Sam had a smile on his face when he finally got to say it back. 😉
I actually laughed really hard when he was like "I DON'T EVEN KNOW YOU" it felt so human, like he was just frustrated and annoyed by this person he literally hasn't met yet lol
Willie Houle and the best thing is that we thought we’d lost the opportunity to see it because the hammer was destroyed by Hella but the Russos have found the way to please us. Respect ✊🏻
When mjolnir slowly raised, i started shouting "captain america lefted the hammer, Cap left the hammer, cap left the hammer....", And the guy was setting beside me was like, "what? Wtf, calm down dude", and when they showed cap holding the hammer he started shouting louder than me xD
"We weren't looking at the other films for inspiration, we were looking at the comic books" AND THAT RIGHT THERE IS WHY THEY HAVE BEEN SUCCESSFUL #NAILEDIT
DA yes because the mcu films are made by fans The producer heading all of this is a fan himself Whereas dc is being ruined by the executives (not just dc they also ruined the fantastic beasts franchise at WB)
I appreciate the openness of, and access to, film creators these days. This is awesome. They answer so many questions I wouldn't seek the answer to but, I wonder about.
“on your left” is one of the best moments. it being repeated as a competition in winter soldier whenever cap lapped falcon but then the use in avengers endgame when cap was ready to fight alone and you hear “on your left.” i literally freaked when i heard that
that to me was tied for my favorite moment, with avengers assemble, and cap picking up the hammer. but that is the moment to me that defines why falcon gets the shield instead of bucky, because through it all, even with no powers, falcon was always on his left.
Everyone is pointing out when cap and Sam met but missing the other reference it was when Cap woke up in the Hospital and Sam was there on his right, he looks over to Sam sees him there and says, "on your left"
Joss Whedon also hasn't gotten much credit for making the first Avengers film. Especially the scene where all the Avengers are seen on screen for the first time during the battle of NY
Whoever decided to let these two geniuses direct MCU movies needs an award. Russo Brothers forever left their marks on the industry. I can't wait to see more of their projects.
Oh? That's interesting! I never interpreted that hammer scene as America holding back. I'd interpreted it the hammer judging him as being NEARLY worthy but not quite there yet.
Oh man, a couple of others for me: 1. The Avengers- The scene in the Battle of New York where the camera pans around the Avengers captures their first moment as a team imo. That 40 second continuous scene that captures the individual members fighting the Chitauri was also amazing. 2. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2- The end scene with Yondu's funeral. If GotG 1 signified the Guardians becoming a team, the end of GotG 2 showed them as a family. The characters (Peter to Yondu, Nebula to Gamora, and Rocket to the rest of the Guardians) all realized their true family in that scene. Another great scene was Yondu, Rocket, and Groot breaking out of captivity to the tune of "Come A Little Bit Closer". Yondu's power is also ridiculously visually appealing. 3. Thor: Ragnarok- When Thor summons his lightning after Hela asks him what he's the god of. "Immigrant Song" doesn't hurt either. It's arguably the best fight scene in the MCU outside of Avengers fight scenes imo. A similar sentiment can be said about his "Bring me Thanos!" line in Infinity War. There's so many to name. Each of the Avengers movies (throw Civil War in there too) can probably can provide a whole list of their own.
Bholmes11 l Hinting for possibly introducing Namor as a character is future movies or possible an origin story. Also the I love you 3000 , is referencing the Ironman 3000 inversion table. There is a ton of cool Easter eggs and references made in endgame.
I literally have never been apart of a more live audience. A small town in indana were leaping out of there seats w me, at least 3 theater wide applause breaks and grown men weeping, kids actually watching a 3 hr movie. It was so bazar, I loved every moment. The year prior I watched the infinity saga numerous times and infinity war over a dozen times.. I will never forget this. This experience. This feeling. The connections. Associations friends, girlfriends, and loved ones I've watched the films with. Thank you for your films and television shows. Thanks for your art
That's honestly the best. I liked all of these, but the 'Avenger's assemble' in Endgame made me cheer and cry at the same time. It just felt epic after all of them went through the portals.
I feel so blessed to watch all 3 phases. I was a huge comic book fan back in the day. Russo brothers nailed it while adding their own style to the MCU. Winter soldier was my favorite.
Another great moment was when the avengers assemble for the first time during tje battle of new york amd you have that iconic ahot if them standing in a circle. Gives anyone the chills
I waited captain to say Avengers assemble for a long time. Almost had the moment at Age of Ultron, almost. And at the endgame when he said "Avengers...", I know for sure I cried.
Actually I was the only person in the theater that yelled out and threw my arms up, like it was about time we hear, and I am definitely glad we got too.
I don't know why but my one of the most emotional moment of endgame is the final talk between cap and Bucky, a call back to cap 1 and cap2, a full circle to their relationship, Cap: Don't do anything stupid till I come back Bucky: How can I, you are taking all the stupid with you.
These are extremly good moments and the MCU as a whole is something unique but compared to masterpieces in movie history these can't compare. The plot twists in Usual Suspects or Seven, acting in Godfather 1, Taxi Driver or Shining etc. "I am Iron Man" only had such an impact because it fulfills the MCU arc that started with Iron Man a decade ago. People can relate more and therefore appreciate this moment much more than it is. Same thing with the Mjölnir or Avengers Assemble. It only works because of the knowledge viewers had before watching this finale and a movie shouldn't require that to be called a masterpiece. Endgame would be a worthless mess of a movie without the 20 movies before that which is why it would be unfair to call moments in Endgame "the best in movie history". None of the MCU movies are masterpieces. The franchise MCU itself is a masterpiece though and probably the best of all time.
@@NieColall It's kind of... dumb (?) to say that Endgame would be a mess without the rest of the movies. It plain wouldn't exist without the rest of them. So to try to look at it without them, as an incomplete story, is just useless and a waste of time.

I dont know man, the whole conflict between Iron Man and Cap is still not sitting right with me.. I feel like they would know better. Cap would know better than to protect Bucky at all cost, and Tony would know better than to kick the crap out of the Cap for no reason. Yes Bucky killed Tony's family, but Cap has nothing to do with it, and Tony knew Bucky was brainwashed..Idk

Rocket’s “you look like a melted ice cream” to Thor was savage tho
Cheeseburgers
and "I love you 3000"
Which "i am Iron man" tho? I feel that the first one is more iconic while the one in Endgame is more powerfull.
You forgot “I love you 3000”
Cap: Stark: we need a plan of attack
Iron Man: I have a plan, attack.
Zwelakhe Seroke finally! this is the greatest line
When did this line appeared again? I forgot
Kylei Moreen Obligado the first Avengers
@@gustafsone I think Bucky was just done with fighting aswell. I think he was content just being a farmer in wakanda.

@@jamerstime I feel like we need to see another Taika film to see if it was a one time thing or if he still has somewhere to take it.

@surfitlive Whoa! I didn't know that, that really elevates my love and admiration for Cap!
Stephan Susholtz yeah he is so worthy that he didn’t lift it completely so that Thor still felt special
Oh man, a couple of others for me:

@surfitlive still hurts
Endgame has the best moments in movie history...
1- Cap wielding mjölnir
2- Final Avengers Assemble
3- I am Ironman
1st time it was ever said Avengers Assemble
