Wai keat really know his place. You cant get any better guide. Thank you bro from fellow malaysian for showing hospitality, malaysian style ❤
Wai Keat is the best! So glad we met.
Always glad to show the best of Malaysia especially our hospitality 😊

Great job. I enjoy the series and look forward to day 5 and off-road riding. I came back to comment that it's so beautiful that you described that funeral procession as a celebration of life. Local funeral processions tend to be glum and solemn. Any life well lived should be celebrated like this, and it is such a positive outlook that we should all adopt.
This is really awesome to read. Thanks for taking the time to write your comment. We all thought it was such a nice celebration of life and respected it. Thanks for your comments and thanks also for watching!
i can definitely see you doing 7 nation borders challenge on small bikes in the future, that was some epic drone shots on Cameron's by the way.
If I have my way I’d be riding in new countries all the time. At this stage I’m lucky to do one trip like this a year at most. But I’ll step up the effort with some New Zealand adventures. There is a lot to showcase of my homeland.
@@SmallBikeStuff Absolutely agree with you, me myself can't even remember when was my last trip. I'd love to see more footages about New Zealand!
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Everytime I bought a new bike l’ll go up Fraser to test its handling. Last Febuary I went up with my new Adv160
Such a fun road! ADV160 would be a great bike for exploring Malaysia with.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
In Malaysia, these small bikes tend to overheat when you rev them at maximum on a hot sunny day around 11am to 3pm, the small bikes will stall after an hour of non stop max speed travelling, to prevent this overheating, i travel at 70% speed on a super hot day.
In this case the Lagenda stopped from a blocked injector. But you are right. It’s something I always think about. Thankfully I’ve had no big issues riding long distance on small bikes. Just regular oil changes is the best idea.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Good times! looks like an amazing trip...and I loved the informative script!
Glad you like it Brent! 3 videos left. Half way through videos already.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Great episode. I'm very jealous of the good weather you all had.
We've had so many thunderstorms.
I can confirm, Cameron Highlands are just spectacular. The lookout ride must have had an incline of just a bit under 30%.
The road continues further to a viewpoint in a national park. There I hit a section where my clutch engaged in 1st gear. The next time that happened was in a driveway to a hotel which said it had a 30% incline!
Looking forward to part 4.
Thats impressive to learn the grade of the hill! After seeing your photos I was very glad we got good weather for it. First proper rain of the trip comes in the next part out tonight but even then it wasn't absolutely torrential thankfully.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Just found these and downed the first 3 episodes in one sitting. Getting me excited for my motorcycle trip for the last 2 weeks of June.
Where will you be riding? Thanks for watching! Couple of days till part 4 comes out.

@@SmallBikeStuffPlanning on heading from New York to Newfoundland and back
Love it! Reason being why so many Land Rovers at Cameron Highlands was the durable gear boxes of the vehicles for steep climbing of the tricky roads. no vehicle can outdo the Landy there despite the modern technology.
It’s quite cool to see so many of them in one place. I had read about it beforehand but didn’t expect quite so many.
such an awesome series and I would be expecting more to come!
Thanks so much I’m glad you enjoy it! Part 4 on Friday. Same release time.

Great story telling and nice shots! Cant wait for more episodes
Thanks so much! Half way. 3 more to come.

7.37 that is the passing of a loved one, its a funeral not a celebration
Yup. In western countries we often refer to funerals as a celebration of life.

Hello from Singapore. Thanks for the great series!
Thanks so much for watching! Singapore is a cool country but it’s a shame vehicles are so expensive.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Bro, every episode just keeps getting better! wow.
Thanks mate! Had to make the day we start riding a bit of a longer one. Next episode is Betong and Songkhla. Cool spots!
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
To make your bike ride safer go into one of the big bike clubs and ask for the riders rules it will make your trip much more safe
We all tend to do big group rides already so it was a pretty safe bunch. No accidents the whole trip. Good idea though. Very important to have proper road etiquette on a long trip.
Far out you guys got to see some awesome views! How good are those small motorcycle shops, always super helpful and keen to show you what bikes they have tucked away
Brother it was unreal! They were incredibly helpful and just wanted to share their passion. Stay tuned for episode 4 this Friday where we see some other Kiwi's randomly.
@@SmallBikeStuff I can't wait!

I have never set my foot in Thailand. With your 2nd trip this time, it somehow sparks my interest to try it too.
If you are in a country close to it then it’s a really worth taking the trip over the border. Lots to see and do. Quick to get there and back.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Fantastic, Cameron Highlands look stunning, watched on big screen in workshop , excellent
So glad you enjoyed it! Definitely the best to watch on big screen. Part 4 coming tomorrow!

Frasers Hill ... brings back mem'ries of ye olde English over bridgewater fog. It's gotten warmer over the decades due to climate abberations and modern day smog.
I heard that from locals also. Warmer up there now. Really nice to get into the mountains though. So much fun.

I bought my yamaha exciter 155 (y16zr) is the most expensive & powerful bike ever. I ride it for years & still nothing is going wrong except the changing engine to 200cc. Btw keep it up guys. Ur doing great!!!
Thanks so much! Glad you like it. The exciter is such a capable bike.

What a great journey on those kapcai. Greetings from Malaysian in Melbourne ✌🏼.You guys makes me feel miss ride a small bike which is not much to choose here in Australia.
Thanks so much for watching my friend. People in Malaysia have some amazing roads on their doorstep. Glad to have you watching while you're in Australia.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
If you every do another Malaysia/Thailand trip, try crossing at the Wang Kelian crossing in Perlis.
A few miles before the crossing you need to ride over a hill with a nice twisty going up and down.
Also, Wang Kelian is very quiet, so you don't have to wait long.
There was no big wait at this border thankfully. We were through in about 30-40 minutes including both exiting Malaysia and entering Thailand. Longest wait I've had before is Bukit Kayu Hitam/Sadao - anyway stay tuned till episode 6 and you'll see Wang Kelian 😉
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html

Thanks so much! Yeah sure a little bit crazy but someones gotta do it!
@@SmallBikeStuff You're welcome. If there's NEXT TIME, I wish you spend a much more time in Malaysia, a month perhaps, going everywhere from east to west peninsular, and also the borneo side sabah and sarawak. In some other news, there is several malaysian did their journey from malaysia to china, and the other one to saudi arabia (included doing muslim pilgrimage there) by motorbike which also using small motorbike from LC135 and also honda RS150 if i not mistake, mostly over or near 15,000 km of journey. Not only 2, but quit a lot covered by local news including some us bicyle!. Malaysian just crazy too 😆
Always a fun trip riding in Malaysia
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Big bikes are fun and all, but the ease and time to just soak things up is just the right way to go on all small bike stuff 😊
Completely agree! More fun to go fast on a small bike than slow on a big bike.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
The Journey goes on ! Wohoo!
Beautiful place, nice one
Thanks so much! It was great to finally get on the road after all our time spent buying bikes.

It's like watching streaming show on Netflix, excited to watch the next episode.
If only one of the streaming companies would give me the funds to do this more often! Glad you like it. Sadly these trips only happen at best every year, but usually a bigger gap between them happening.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
That was epic.....miles of curves to get to Fraser's Hill. Cant get any better than that. Looked like a better view than the Cameron highlands.
Damn...you guys should be arrested for addictive content.
Got me hooked.
It’s such a great spot for riding. It’s so close to Kuala Lumpur too. I was surprised we didn’t see more bike but again we did ride it on a week day. Maybe weekend is busier.

This series is going to have me booking my next trip to Malaysia.
you can visit fraser hill as it is your name😊
Fraser...meet Fraser's hill.
As the others said they named a whole hill for you! Hit me up Andrew and we can chat about Malaysia. There is a lot to see and do there and I’ve got a few good contacts. I want to see you eating stinky tofu in KL soon please.

enjoyed the vid but the sound of the bikes is much better than the music,,,my opinion
@@dennisknight7563 it’s just wind noise when there is music. Otherwise the bikes would be the main sound.

Damn i went up fraser hill for the first time with my z650 2 weeks ago and gosh its definitely hard, my hand cramp so hard. Its definitely hotter than i remember years ago
Yeah honestly I think it would be more fun on a small bike. On a big bike you’d have to be a bit slow on it where as our light bikes we could ride as hard as we want and it wasn’t really dangerous.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Now some farmers use Isuzu trucks too for transportation instead of landrovers
That’s true. Saw a lot of old Mercedes lorry’s taking logs too.

thanks :)
Thanks for watching!
Do you have the full footageof riding to Fraser's Hill? It would be awesome to see it!
Those bikes are struggling to steep roads, I feel bad for the engine. Been there, I need bigger bike now.
Also, are you planning to Import Yamaha 125ZR into your country?
I do have a lot of footage from Frasers hill but not the whole thing from bottom to top. I can definitely make a more comprehensive video about it if you like. I wish I could bring a Yamaha 125ZR to New Zealand but it’s not on the list of plans yet.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Did you bring your helmet from NZ or bought them in KL? Btw how much is the GIVI box. You all had the same model.
The helmets we all bought with us from NZ. Most airlines allow them as carry on. The top box and racks each cost about 400RM total or $140 NZD approximately.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
At least it's cooled down a bit now I got heat stroke going from pattaya to buriram
Yeah this wasn’t so bad temp wise as we did it late February/early March. It was just before it got really hot.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
Could you make a package to ride around NZ? That would be fun
It’s definitely possible. Biggest problem with New Zealand is the lack of small bikes like this though.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
What kind of gear do you guys use riding in these climates? I visited Bali recently and everyone just wore shorts and gloves if you were lucky. I have to say I also cannot imagine layering on bike gear when it's 32.
I’ll elaborate more in the Q&A. But mesh riding jackets with armour in the shoulder, elbow and for some the back. Summer gloves and riding boots. Some wore normal jeans some worse riding pants some wore whatever they wanted but we had all skin covered. Yes it was hot. But at pace it wasn’t so bad. It was better than weeks and weeks of road rash healing.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html
What riding gear are you guys wearing? I'm a big ATGATT nerd, but I imagine even my summer jacket and gloves I wear during the hot months in Perth must get really hot in the Malaysian humidity.
I’ve got a Ixon Filter jacket which is mesh and quite breathable. The opening helmets make a big difference when we are stopped too. There is no doubt that we were sweating a lot every day though because of all our gear. Just have to keep up liquid intake and we were okay.
Part 4: th-cam.com/video/VQ6k1BOHRfc/w-d-xo.html

What some of us used to say "Yamaha may have the looks but Honda have the quality" 😂
The one Yamaha is love to have is the 125ZR! It would be a great bike.
@@SmallBikeStuff Yes 125zr is a motorcycle to have!
@@SmallBikeStuffyou mean the 2 stroke 125z. Thats very great bike. Nice when cornering. You can go into corner very fast. The braking is great. Unfortunately i had lower back pain, and i stop thinking about being serious in biking.

1 Question . Did you enjoy the editing process ? 😂
😂😂😂 It took a while. Started immediately after the trip ended. Finished about 2 weeks before the first episode came out. Took lots of motivation. Each edit was about 40 minutes long in raw form. Anyway - it's done now! I'm so glad people are enjoying it.

Fraser Hill.when japan occupied malay land all british citizens fled and That's where James Bond 007 (White Knight) started during the Japanese war. Japan has taken control of Malay land. but bond remains undercover and resides in fraser hill and is guarded by the chinese clan and MPAJA Malaya people anti japanese army . and it was Bond who quietly organized the statergy and also supplied the tools of war to MPAJA, which eventually turned into PKM, a three-star communist party.
Interesting stuff! I didn’t show enough of the articles about the war at the Time Tunnel museum but they had a some info about it too.
Where can we read more about the Bond strory?
