7:38 As a baldie who saves money by cutting my own hair I can confirm using the Apple Watch to access my phone camera and then using the phone to check the back of my head is a great way to make sure I haven't missed any places 🤣
I have used my Apple Watch to open my MacBook from the day I got it (MacBook). Fingerprint identification does not work for me - it lasts a day, maybe. Thank goodness newer iPhones and iPads don't use fingerprint identification anymore. I knew a few of your tips so thanks for the others.
Moving my finger to my device is easier than moving the device - or my face - in line & close enough to, my camera. Offering both would be my preference.
Regarding Shazam via Siri - I have found on a number of occasions that using the Siri method resulted in non-recognition, and then opening Shazam proper before the song ends and trying it that way resulted in correct identification. This has happened often enough that I now I always use the Shazam app on the watch. Just fyi.
Great tutorial 👍🏻 just a couple of things the left behind takes too long to let you know as I am miles down the road , is there a way you can make it faster ? Also Apple Pay on a couple of occasions I’ve used it it says present card but I left my cards at home ?
Excellent! Thanks. My watch opens my iMac, which is such a timesaver! I also always have my Find My on for my phone as I don’t want to leave it home without it-ever!
an interesting quirk of using apple pay on either iPhone or apple watch is if you ever need to see your last transactions ... they don't sync. So watch transactions on the watch, iPhone transactions on the iPhone. Also, if you ever need to return an item you purchased when you paid with apple pay the retailer might ask to confirm the number of the card you used. To find this you activate apple pay, choose the card and scroll down to card details to reveal the different numbers (on mine there are separate card numbers for Visa, eftpos and card number

You probably have Siri disabled on your paired iphone. Make sure Siri is enabled on both your iPhone and your apple watch, that should restore functionality to your digital crown press and hold.
All great info, sir. Quick note: be sure your watch is unlocked if you want it to wake up your Mac. Sometime I forget to unlock it when I put my watch on and then wonder why my Mac is ignoring me!
I loved it when I found out about using the watch to unlock my Mac but there was a feature (of course I can’t remember what it was ) that was disabled on the Mac if you unlocked it with the watch, so sadly, I turned it off. It was handy though.
are you satisfied with the EUFY Security cameras and features? Thinking about a new camera system for our home but want to have one thats good included in the apple eco system
As always, your videos are a great help. Thank you for sharing all this information. Now, I have noticed that Shazam identifies a song with the Apple Watch, but does not sync with the iPhone. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, checking Music Sync with iCloud and more. Still, the information doesn’t sync. Do you know how to resolve this issue? Thanks for your help.
You’re the best. Do you know how to time schedule your action button on the Ultra? For example, set the action button for exercises AM -during the day and PM the action button changes to the flashlight
You will be able to do this on Watch OS 11. there is a long press function for the action button with which you can switch between all the available options
Wow! The timers feature is excellent. I didn't know that one. I always set them by hand previously. The Apple Pay is great, too, but I think it would be more useful if it didn't require me to set up a pass code on the watch.
Does your watch not unlock with your iPhone or is this a separate thing outside the UK? Watch app on your phone, passcode, unlock with iPhone. Sorry if I’ve picked this up wrong but I never need to use a code paying with Apple Pay just double click the side button and hold near the card reader.
Maps: I live in Rome, and thanks to your prompt, I gave my watch a local street address. The system worked perfectly. As far as Apple Pay is concerned, it works perfectly here in Italy, and, recently, in Norway. There is another feature: signing into a website, where it allows one to sign in with Apple (or Google, etc.) without using my Apple ID, I start the access process then the watch (Apple Watch 9) intervenes and gives me access, without my needing to supply it. What I deplore about the AW is having to charge the battery every day. Mac is supposedly come out with a new model that has a longer-lasting battery. It makes me wonder if I can trade in one AW model for a newer model.
I need to mention (for those who don't know and in countries that Apple Pay just starting) that paying with Apple Watch works even if your iPhone is out of range and you do not need internet or eSim.
I’ve had the Apple Watch Ultra 2 for almost a year now and does anybody know why still wear your watch for at least six nights for you to be able to read your temperature? It still says that.
I was aware of 1 out the 12 tips you shared. Every time I watch one of your videos I am guaranteed to learn something new. Thank you for such thorough videos.

Tom, I've never been able to unlock my Mac with either my Apple Watch or the Touch ID button on my Apple keyboard. I've always had to enter my password manually. Is this because I have a MacMini rather than a MacBook? I have all the appropriate options turned on in my settings.
I have a 2018 Mac Mini and it has never reliably worked with Unlock My Mac on the Apple Watch. This is a probkem that others have also reported and there are discussion threads in many places about it. I don't know if the newer M series Mac Minis suffer from the same problem.
I have found that it seems to work with the very top of the fingertip. It could be that is what I setup initially and it would offer it the middle part of my finger--that didn't work. It now pretty consistently unlocks with my finger. Also, I don't press it like it is a button, I just touch my finger to it.
@@SignorLuigi Mine is an M2 MacMini Pro from earlier this year so it seems even with the newer chip it still doesn't work (either with the watch or my finger on the key). The fingertip on the key works just fine to unlock 1Password though.

Look a few messages above yours for a similar situation and solution. It's very doable, and you wouldn't want your watch to allow you to spend money without a PIN...because if it wasn't YOU who had your watch...

I wish the apple wallets would synchronise with each other. Ie i use my watch for 90% of my shopping, occasionally i use my phone, usually when I have the wallet open anyway for a store card like Tesco. I just wish all the transactions would be listed on the phone for checking out later
** Important side notes **, iMac went black upon choosing lock with no lock screen message, but only after my watch took awhile to locate my desktop. More importantly, desktop restarted 2x after entering passcode.
you can even use the camera app on the watch to take photos.🤣 keep up the good work and info; you are better than the other iPhone watch etc reviewers.
Regarding #10, unlocking your Mac with your watch. This actually doesn't work half the time and your Mac will tell you it isn't going to work. It will tell you right under the password entry field, "Your password is required." So I'm not 100% sure how this works, but I think you actually need to type it once every 24 hours or something. It will similarly disable Touch ID on a MacBook (or a Mac with the keyboard that has Touch ID on it, I suppose) until it gets the password manually entered. However, if someone *else* wants to use the Mac, it will unlock your account for them every time if you're nearby. Because my wife also uses our desktop Mac, I've had to disable the feature because it creates additional steps for her to get to her stuff.
I use Siri on my Apple Watch, to tell me how much battery percentage my watch has left. I simply say "Siri, battery percentage of watch", and Siri will tell me how much battery percentage I have left. I have a 3rd generation Apple Watch that takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. I'll use it till it dies rather than send it to the floating garbage pile in the ocean. I've known Apple users who will never be without the latest Apple products no matter how much that impacts the environment
