I always used to accidentally select different watch faces so I’m glad that you can’t accidentally do it anymore, although it is good to be able to toggle that feature
One tip I recommend is enabling assistive touch in accessibility. Then toggle on Hand gestures, which allow you to turn on Quick Actions (when assistive touch is enabled). These are handy single hand gestures you can use to dismiss notifications, pause music, or sleep the display all by pinching your fingers or clenching your palm. They even work in water proof mode for the times you don’t want the screen touches enabled
@@ProperHonestTech after seeing how the pinch feature worked I assume they were trying to make it easier to do what I’m suggesting with assistive touch. But I prefer the method I use because it works how you’d expect and doesn’t really get in the way of
One thing about Keyboard vs Scribble pad. I find that it's actually easier to use swipe on the Watch keyboard over the scribble pad. You don't need to press individual letters on the keyboard. It's faster and take better advantage of the auto correct.
Did you know (on my Apple Watch anyway), that if you power off your Apple Watch, you can still check the time by tapping the crown. It'll take a second, but there's the time.
Wow I don’t know half of the tricks you shared here and I thought I was an Apple Watch pro Thanks for sharing Your kids are so smart to be making calls and setting alarms on your watch 😂 I hope they are doing well Love your videos keep up the good work
Great Video: I did not know about the Time in Daylight function. I will start monitoring that. Using the water lock mode to disable the screen is great! Is there something similar for the iPhone?
But now this function works broken. When you swipe any watch face, it first shows the time 10 : 09, and only then the current actual time. This did not happen before!
Thank you so much! Question pls: I use the activity as a watch face and would like to glance down to see how my rings are doing but the grey out. Do you know why?
Thank you so much - the inability to swipe between faces really annoyed me. I watched this just in case it had been sorted as I’d heard a rumour it had. I had tried to work out how to no avail. I’m now happily swiping between faces again 😀
I just watched one of your videos on TH-cam for the first time. You show a thing to scan for more info. How do I scan while I’m watching your video? I’m not being sarcastic because I’m old, 78. and maybe it can be done. Thank you the video because I’m new to the Apple Watch and, wow, watch a great gadget.
The water lock feature will help me no end. My kids are past being held (although the 9yr old would accept it if offered), but I find when wearing gloves and performing a task (like clearing snow) the gloves will end up pressing the side buttons. Thanks for the great tips!
I hadn't thought of that. When I'm working on something my wrist moves and I find that apps have been pressed, screens changed etc. Good suggestion. I will use it.
Apologies for laughing out loud at the thought of kids setting an alarm in middle of night 😂 Using the water lock is a creative way to workaround this. Great video as always 👍🏼
Hi. After unpairing with one phone and pairing with another one faces on my watch didn’t come. As well I can’t see battery %, theatre mode and etc. Help please😊
love to see an actually good tutorial! I'm constantly looking for new features but im very tech savvy so i rarely find anything I don't already know. This had a couple new tips for me. Thanks!
You can use the Swipe method in Keyboard mode on your watch, and it's amazingly accurate for me, even with my big fingers. WAY better than writing out one letter at a time! LOVE the info about the tip calculator. You didn't mention that you have to scroll the crown to adjust the number of people, but I figured it out, Great info!
My Apple Watch possibly saved my life last week. After going to bed, I was feeling very sick with mild chest pain, and wasn’t sure what was happening. Then my watch alerted me that my heart was in severe AF, this enabling my wife to immediately drive me the short distance to our local emergency department for treatment and subsequently overnight hospitalisation and tests. Thank you Apple! Brilliant!
I think you did not mention that for the tip feature in the calculator app you need to switch to this. By default it is calculating percentages... But as always, you content is so extremely valuable for me I try to watch all of them and follow up on your many many tricks. Although I consider myself a pro, there is always something new for me!
Would you say that it’s worth buying the series 9 now if I really want the fast charging I currently have a series 6 I don’t know if I should wait six more months for the next one
12:15 - But now this function works broken. When you swipe any watch face, it first shows the time 10 : 09, and only then the current actual time. This did not happen before!
For the double tap feature, I wish Apple had given us the option to customize the watch. For example, if we are not in ‘away on’ mode, we could double tap to light up the screen to see the time.
Thanks for the water lock mode tip. When I am snowblowing, my watch inevitably gets wet and then my jacket will press all kinds of buttons on screen. I didn’t know how to turn that off. Thanks!
Good going, again. I'm so new to AW that I'll have to learn where to find Face Time. As for calculating restaurant expenses, our Italian version of Watch OS uses the percent sign instead of tip. Even simpler might be to calculate the bill, say 145 decide on the percentage, say 10 percent and multiply the total by 145X 1,10 (I think it would be 1.10 in GB, if I'm not mistaken) then divide by the number of participants.
*I used to be able to swap between apps by double clicking the crown.* Now it goes to the app list loaded or loaded before. But it used to be able to swap between the last 2 open so you can run 2 apps and swap quickly. What happened to this ??
I am a new watch user. Thanks for the tips. I have a question about Music. I am used to searching my classical music library by Composer. This works on iPhone or iMac but I do not see that option on the watch … any idea? To note, I sort my library as follows: I prefix the composers of pop music with a ‘z’ (to have them at the bottom of the composers list) and similarly prefix the artists of classical music with a ‘z’ (to have them at the bottom of the artists list). Thus, my question.
Do you have a tip for how to stop audio video apps always becoming the foreground app if you are using music/spotify/youtube. The reason is it’s too easy to knock volume in some scenarios, and also if I’m working out or hiking the watch always hides my map app and shows music/spotify etc when I always want to see the map.
Hi, I just got brand-new ultra 2 and I cannot see where you’re getting this FaceTime thing I’ve checked my whole watch I go to phone calls. I’m not getting the screen you get to do conference call etc . Is this something that’s just for abroad and not for the UK or something?
Tip in calculator on my apple watch 7 does not work. No tip button. Thank you for uploading. I found some very useful new features I had no idea about. Liked and subscribed in return.
I use my watch for most of my iPhone applications. My rule of thumb is if I have the urge to use the phone, I try in on the watch. I’ve surprised lots of my fellow Apple Watch friends as well as myself.
Nice one on sneak peaking the time in theatermode. However i use haptic time for that. The tip feature doesn’t seem to work in denmark. That is a shame. Also danish special letters are not supported in scripple, or rather scripple are not supported in danish. But i got it to work using a work round, but i still need those special letters.
❤️👶👶 proofing trick. 🥰 That’s adorable! Congrats!!! The timer tip is one I most definitely will use. Thanks for the heads up on the sunlight feature. I think I need to update my phone and series 7 watch first. This is data I would like to keep track of. #Huberman
Who the heck would in reality - make group calls (any calls for that matter) - browse on the watch (especially on any model but Ultra) - Type on the watch Etc.
I'm here to give you a piece of advice: I noticed you wear your Apple Watch on your left wrist. It might be a good idea to invert the screen, so the display is upside down. This way, the button will face towards your arm instead of your hand. Often, when we push ourselves up from the ground or make sudden movements, the back of our hand might accidentally press the button. Flipping the screen could help prevent these accidental presses.
I just got the watch, I am trying to figure out some things, one how can I just got back withoit going back to all apps like a back button. I really want to lnow how set the swimming fitness if I do it before the water mode it seems to start counting before I actually start swimming this was a bog one for me, I'm 60 and really wanted to do water exercises. And one more my activities is saying I have achevied goals but I need to change the goals there not very challenging. Thank you
I need spectacles to read so if in the night I need a torch(flashlight) it’s a fiddly way to switch the light on. Is there a shortcut to get the light on?
I had a fitbit watch but thought an apple watch would be better. Do more. Maybe it's because I'm not so techy savy but I like the fitbit much better. Easier to use and better. At least I got it on sale.
9:22 Peak in theatre mode. Turning the Digital Crown on my Apple watch 8 doesn’t fade in the display, it’s totally unresponsive. Although my wife’s did fade in as you demonstrated on her Apple Watch 9. Is this a new feature of the 9 or is there another setting I need to enable or is mine faulty? Thanks for the tips!
Thanks for the video! One fun fact, my 1.5 yeas old son knows about Childproof lock now (somehow), he is keep pressing digital crown (he probably likes the sound of water ejecting) and we are again there :)

I did that too on occasion. I drove me nuts, especially when it seemed I couldn't get the original face back easily.
My watch switches faces all the time and it drives me crazy!
As always despite considering myself an experienced Apple user there are a few things here I didn't know!
4:27 Swiping to type is the easiest way for me to type on the Apple Watch screen. I recommend it if you haven’t yet tried it.
