Just a tip, cutting zipties with a toe nail cutter keeps the excess flush so it isnt sharp! i have scars on my arms from them, as a mechanic its a huge pet peeve!!!!

Thank you so much for showing the world that reptiles can feel and love and hurt just like her furry counterparts. As a RVT, I would say you have made miracles with your driving to treat and care for these loving creatures as should be done. I cried happy tears for both the transformation and the bond you now have.

You need a proper temperature and humidity gauge, the temperature gauge should have a probe so you can properly monitor the hot spot. You could also get a heat gun to spot check regularily.
Today's modern times reptiles are put in these amazing enclosures. It makes me feel so bad. about 30 years ago one of my husband's friends gave us an iguana. He was huge. And he came in like a 20 gallon fish tank. He came with a branch and a heat rock that was it. We fed him some vegetables and mealworms. We didn't know what the hell we were doing. Thank God we let a guy take Larry because he had a iguana Sanctuary. So Larry got to spend the rest of his life in a beautiful place with other iguanas. I'm so into watching all these reptile channels now and I just feel terrible that we had no clue what to do with that beautiful big iguana. One day that little sucker got up on his hind legs and sprinted across the floor like a goddamn Velociraptor!!🐊🦖. It scared the crap out of me...I won't never forget that.!!

Everything about this enclosure is amazing other than the temp and humidity gauge thoes suck and aren't reliable
They can be dangerous as well. Before I knew any better I had them in my snake enclosure. She got one stuck on her.😭😭😭 I was able to remove it without hurting her stall. I felt so horrible.
I find that nail clippers cut zip ties really nicely - They don't leave the same jagged edges scissors do (and you can trim them much shorter)

With your pull ties that you filed off , you could also apply them with the " cut off " facing down before you file then she only walks on a smooth piece of pull tie.

For zip ties, you can also melt sharp ends with a lighter. Its a bit quicker, and no filing dust.

Digital thermometers and hygrometers are what you should use. Those dial ones are usually off by a lot
I have to disagree... many of my digital ones become defective as well.
@@KristenLeanneVlog the dial ones can be off by a lot, digital are a lot more accurate and all seasoned keepers would agree with me but whatever ig. I just thought you’d like a better way to keep track of temperatures and humidity since they’re extremely important for herp keeping🤷♂️
I agree with Trey T . Ive never had a dial one that worked properly. I use a temp gun and digital
