I actually have a shroom hat that I use for Shubble cosplays that looks a bit like this! I got it from Renfaire :)

You could go outside and collect the dried up flat mushrooms on trees, they basically turn into wood! And they are very light once dried. You can desinfect them by steaming them in the ven or just baking them, maybe boiling too, if they are strong enough, and then dry them, to get rig of bugs. They hold up very well, I used some for my lizard's terrarium

Can confirm that the name is gills or laplea this mushroom/fungi is commonly called a toadstool or the Alice in wonderland but it's actual name is fly agaric- sorry my dad has been teaching me mushroom they're really fascinating actually! For an evil witchy look id use shaggy ink caps (this in case someone wanted a darker look-) and Yes mushroom can indeed grow on mushrooms It's so pretty!!

For the "gills", cut out the same donut as the hat twice. Pleat & pin as you go. Take it to the sewing machine & straight stitch it all the way around.
FYI I believe the red with white spot mushrooms are called toadstool mushrooms

Hey there we absolutely love your video! You asked if there was an easier way to make the gills and I just wanted to share with you how I would make them, as a seamstress. I would have used a long rectangle of your white fabric, and ran a gathering stitch by hand or by machine on both long sides. You would pull the gathering stitches tighter for the inside part and they would be farther apart for the outside edge. You can totally hot glue this down too. The bigger the gathering stitches you take the bigger the gills flaps will be.
I hope that helps keep up the great videos. And hit me up if you need any sewing advice.

Despite the "Mushroomancer" skill being available in the Monster Hunter franchise for years now, we dont have any Mushroom Wizard or Witch or Conjurer or like- outfit in game. As in, ya know- ourfits litwrally mades with mushrooms or have mushrooms actually growing on them

I got obsessed with mushrooms last semester, after studying them for school and having to walk through the woods to find them. Since then, I have a pinterest board dedicated to the lil guys as well as plenty of mushroom drawings.

this is super cute and so is kitty! i just wanted to give a little heads up tho to be especially careful with glues around pets, even more so when they're still wet and drying as they could be really toxic to them and cause them harm (cats especially so since they're so sensitive to everything). probably more okay if projects are dry as long as no pets are chewing on it but i worried a bit of kitty laying on something with (potentially wet) glue that it could seep through and get on them. seemed like it was dry and it's always impossible to keep cats from being involuntary craft helpers xD but just a lil reminder in case, anyone really, wasn't aware.
