I have seen some forums discussing about a "screen-door effect". Have you noticed that on the OLED display? Presumably, the effect is caused by a dotted matrix pattern from the touchscreen digitzer.

Where can we buy a screen protector for the 2022 version that is also a "paper-like"?

Helpful video there. Thank you so much for this.
I gotta ask though, how about the typing experience?
I really love the smile keyboard design but I have concerns about accidental clicks when I rest my palm on the laptop to type, like then the base of the thumbs rest along the edges of the trackpad.
I mean, it's not like the keyboard and the trackpad are centrally aligned, so yeah, that's a pretty big concern for me.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to getting this laptop for Christmas.

Thx! I enjoyed typing on it. I just got the 16” version in and it also has a comfortable keyboard. They feel identical.

@@TechAdventure1 So, no accidental mouse clicks when typing, right? I can already sense typing will be fun and smooth, so if you say no accidental trackpad clicks when typing, then I'll be completely sold.

That didn’t happen to me! I urge you to buy it from a retailer with a good return policy. Just in case…

Does the right USB-c support DP and can I charge the notebook with the USB-c on the right side? Because I need the thunderbolt ports on the left side for something else then charging...

@6:07 you said that the display was a 16:9 display...I think you meant to say it's a 16:10 display.
It looks like a very reflective/glossy screen....which makes it very problematic and VERY annoying to use in well lit environments. The bright over saturated colors are attractive on OLED displays but what's the point if you can't see what's on the screen because of all the reflectivity. After using a good matte display on my X1 Carbon I can't ever see myself taking a step back to glossy reflective displays...they are just too limiting and annoying to use in well lit areas. I'm jussayin....

Yo Jet! I made a couple of errors on this one. 2880x1800 is for sure 16x10. But it doesn't look like it, which was the point I was trying to make. Also, yes, it's glossy. I haven't taken it outside yet.

@@TechAdventure1 No worries we all make mistakes. I look forward to the full review. Although I should say with it's glossy reflective OLED screen it likely won't be a contender for my next system. I guess the X1 Carbon's matte display has spoiled me. Having now become accustomed to a good matte display think I would find using a glossy screen laptop to be incredibly annoying (having to constantly reposition the screen angle or my position to avoid/limit backlight reflections wherever I go and be limited to where I could use it. (e.g., no outdoor use)). IMO glossy screens are an example of form over function.

Yeah the push for accurate colors may be behind the glossy screens

I’m partial to Lenovo keyboards. And apple now too. I haven’t used an HP in probably 10 years.

HP spectre x360 13 inch feels like chick-let keyboard. I've owned the 10th gen and 11th gen
The lenovo looks to me to be built better.
