I have this laptop 2024 model, and overall, it's a good laptop. However, beware of the OLED touch screen. It has a thin layer of digital touch on top of your OLED screen, which results in a graininess matrix layer. If you don't notice it, that's good for you. But if you are keen about your display, then be warned. They use OLED screen technology such as GF2 or OGM (One Glass Metal Mesh), if you are interested in learning more.
The 2 in 1 laptop, the radial menu shortcut, and the hinge speaker, me LOVE. It is softer than previous 😢 This 2024 Gen9 has become bit smaller and thinner which is a good thing but first thing I noticed that it is softer than previous gen8 yoga 9. I think it is not the chassis but much softer bottom cover which has some play in it, especially when taking it from bottom right corner. There is some play between cover and internals. Don’t know why they didn’t add some tape or smthn to cover empty space. It is still more solid than most 2in1 but it is annoying that it creaks every time I lift it from corner. 2023 felt just much sturdier.
I've been using a Yoga 920 2-in-1 for a few years now. A few things: Drawing on a 2-in-1 is WAY different than drawing on a dedicated tablet. You think it's going to work for you, until it really doesn't. My version had reliability issues - my sound completely died during the pandemic - the computer was only 2 years old at that point. It still works but the speakers no longer work - kinda sucks since I'm a teacher and like to show my students how-to videos every so often. Lastly - not having a dedicated GPU - SUCKS - seriously. If you don't think you need the pen/drawing feature - just get a laptop with a dedicated GPU. If you do any photoshop/video editing/light gaming - you are going to want a gpu more than the ability to flip the computer around and draw. I think I'm going to get a legion laptop as my next computer.
These were the 2 options I was considering as well. I would love to have this laptop if it had an rtx 4070. Having drawing capability portably is a deal breaker for me and it's so frustrating trying to find a tablet computer that doesn't have some caveat like not actually being able to handle ps or 3d programs like Maya :/

Ella doesn't really go into detail, and saying it doesn't match the M2 is not very informative at all. I haven't seen any windows laptop measure up to Apple silicon in terms of battery life
The fan noise of this laptop is not that bad. You will hear fan noise if you set your laptop to Performance mode, but there is no fan noise in battery saving mode. I have used three modes for web browsing with 20 tabs open and running some virtual machine tasks, and I didn't notice any significant difference in performance across those modes. In short, the battery saving mode is good enough and doesn't produce any fan noise. However, I don't play games.
I have this laptop, and when I set it to Battery saving mode, I can comfortably get around 8 hours or more of battery life. In the middle mode, the battery lasts around 5 to 6 hours, and in Performance mode, it may last around 4 hours. However, due to my preference to avoid fan noise, I haven't extensively tested the laptop in Performance mode. For my typical tasks, which include browsing, working with Word documents, coding, and running virtual machines, the battery life is sufficient in the lower power modes.

I prefer to have a decent laptop and a decent tablet side by side. The most important thing about a tablet is that it is lighter than a laptop so you can bring it effortlessly. I had a 2-in-1 laptop in the past btw.
Had a Lenovo Yoga once. It froze all the time, even after a reset and installing minimal apps. Support could not figure out the problem. To add to that, the frame cracked near the hinge. This only being less than a year old and the device was cared for and never dropped. Never had a 2 in 1 give me these problems. Vowed to never buy Lenovo again after that.

Reviewers cannot daily drive every machine so they can't tell you longevity. In general, longer term issues (other than customer service) are model specific rather than brand specific. They're due to design flaws that show up later down the line, and laptop designs are constantly refreshed every year so it can be difficult to spot

Why they keep going with intel? If you put an 8840U in this thing... it would be perfect since the graphical power of the AMD APUs is great and I can really draw with that chip. but the intel onBoard graphics still suck when drawing. It's unusable for "real" graphic works because they decided to go with intel. And the extra buttons on the right do drive me crazy. if this is meant for productivity... who thought this would be a good idea? ...
This is such a better review than Just Josh's review. Particularly around the 2 in 1 functionality and features a consumer is looking for in this type of a laptop. Damn Lenovo be cooking with them yogurt series pause 😊😊 ,the laptop can touch and do yoga straight hands 👏 ain't gonna lie.
Which one is better gen 8(i7 13th gen) or gen 9(this one)
I love Ella's voice
thanks for watching!
you beat me to it!
does it have palm rejection when note taking?
does it have a fan for cooling?
Hello! What yoga generation is this? Is it the gen 8?
9i
could you make a video about the best 2in1 for 2024?
Hi, is this pen wacom aes or mpp?
Is it good for gaming ? Specially Valorant
Thanks. I am surprised that 2.8k version is better than 4k version 🤔
Vowed to never buy Lenovo again after that.
same, support is just so bad especially the usa chat one, they just cant communicate at all, worse than talking to an ai, i have a legion pro and the battery is just so bad and thats not while gaming, i told them im not getting anything from them again and i cant even sell it because anything thats not apple loses 20% its value the moment you buy it...
Reviewers cannot daily drive every machine so they can't tell you longevity. In general, longer term issues (other than customer service) are model specific rather than brand specific. They're due to design flaws that show up later down the line, and laptop designs are constantly refreshed every year so it can be difficult to spot
@@miscwork-qb7pd well i didn’t spend 2k to be a beta product tester… if it was like you said then they should give me the new refined version
does the keyboard got backlight?
The dolby 3 d surrounding sounding is expected
Informative review!
Thanks
thanks for watching!
Yes! I’m glad that the aesthetic I’m drawn to naturally is “Man Pretty” a lot less stress for me…sounds like we’re on the same page ❤
Hi, I am a student from Nigeria, and things are very hard over here this year, I wanted to know whether or not I can get a device for school, Thank you, Hope you reply
Only goes up to 16GB book!!!!!
Did you just break the hinge😅
Your eyes so beautiful, also your voice 💖
Surface pro or this?
Seems like a great 2-in-1, but I don't like the overly rounded edges
did anything break/get damaged at @ 1:42 "oops"?
I don't think anything broke
@@chrism869 wasn't asking you
@burbery17 I'm just sayin,I doubt anything broke
hinge breaking is biggest compromise
Can't wait for this to come with the x elite chip along with dedicated Nvidia gpu.
I just saw this in best buy today and it looks stunning compared to macbook air. It has 120hz refresh rate also which is a big factor for me. The macbook air still has that boring 60hz display
What about snapdragon chip ?
okay. now smash it with heavy metal music playing
😅😅😅
Wait… you can stick the pen like that?!?!😳😳
Why they keep going with intel? If you put an 8840U in this thing... it would be perfect since the graphical power of the AMD APUs is great and I can really draw with that chip. but the intel onBoard graphics still suck when drawing. It's unusable for "real" graphic works because they decided to go with intel.
And the extra buttons on the right do drive me crazy. if this is meant for productivity... who thought this would be a good idea? ...
It would make a great tablet and laptop if you could release the screen from the keyboard to use as a tablet.
1:40 - what was that sound? 😂
She hit it on the table on accident
Yes the video where you can talk about anything you want but not the most important one, the 4 hour batterie life.
Is there a diff color??
lunar grey and blue something
Battery life?
Thanks for advise
This is such a better review than Just Josh's review. Particularly around the 2 in 1 functionality and features a consumer is looking for in this type of a laptop. You don't bring into it any subjective opinions like he does. Thank you for your focus on the consumer's use case for this laptop and the features they're looking for. Especially around the software and pen support that he entirely left out in his review.
I wanna Sighn Documents :- can i whit this Leptop?🤔
You are very likable, one thing for sure, after watching this video, i know what i wanna get... YOU! haha
The fact that you have to fold the screen all the way back is a huge no-no for the 2 in 1 idea...
compare with samsung

nice video
AWESOME
it is kind of stupid to hold such a heavy thing as a tablet. I would appreciate
a simple laptop being just a laptop. let tablets do their thing. The only company that has done the 2 in 1 right is MS with their Surface Pros.
Do a giveaway of this laptop! I need it
