    I watched the video on the testing of the Marines magazine for Magpul the PMAG and if these are tested the same or anything close to it the magpul Glock bags should be just fine considering their lips and if they stretch and crack etc. So I got glock and magpul for my ar9.

    Thank you. Have you ever heard of anyone having issues with the Glock 357 Sig magazines??? Lately I had a failure to feed and I noticed there's a little bit of extra plastic going over the feeder ramp on the magazine I shaved it off but it still doesn't seem to be enough. It's almost like sometimes the next round will come up level and not that nice cant that you need to feed reliably.

    There's reciprocating automobile components that are polymer these days. Nothing in a firearm takes anything in that realm of abuse. If metal inserts make you feel safer, go with what causes you the least anxiety. Times change, though. These magazines are reliable, but they should be tested repeatedly in a firearm before being used in a carry weapon. Even Glock mags. There are factory variations in OEM parts as well.

      I find it funny the same guys who say stick with factory mags use pmags in their ar15 as the go to mag. By that logic we should only use colt 20rd mags in ar15s lol I don't really mind the price though $15 for magpul and $25 for glock is $10 but glock doesn't offer a 21/22 round mag

    • @bosschonk

      I got a mixture of Glock and PMAG GL9s in my safe. 9 factory magazines for the 17, 19 and 26 and 8 Magpyl GL9s for the 17, 19 and 26. Along with eight Glock 33-round giggle sticks and eight Magpul GL9 21-round half-giggle sticks. And a single 31-round ETS giggle stick because a coworker gave it to me for free.
      Haven't had any issues with any of them, although the ETS magazines don't feel as sturdy as the PMAGs or factory magazines.

  • @KiefferPlant

    The original Glock mags were all polymer. Gaston designed them to kinda bow out in the mag well so the user would have to pull the mag free to replace it. When it came to America, Americans did not like that concept and Gaston added the metal insert so it would not bow in the mag well anymore and it would drop free.

    With the ETS Mags.. They are made with RELOADING in mind. As in you first mag is dry, the slide has locked back and there is nothing in the chamber, so when you reload it has no problem. A lot of company's are making their mags like that nowadays.

    • @anonypersona3189
      @anonypersona3189 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The majority of your reloads in the real world will be when the slide isn't locked back. Many people do tactical reloads to top off so you're not caught with your pants down. Also, any smart person will top off their mag before re-holstering...

His technique totally made me a better shooter, and my MP5 reload time is faster than his by a whole second👌. Lucas definitely made me step my game up. It's funny though, about 2-2.5 years ago he had a bunch of junk cars towed onto his range and positioned to simulate traffic in the urban/inner city environment... I told him to do that, that was my idea.. Meanwhile, he won't even allow me to apply for a job at T Rex while also telling me that the range is exclusive to T Rex Employees & selecting mil or quasi-mil groups... • @skyofstorms

    He missed a fat point when comparing pressure when loading mags. In a reload scenario, the slide is locked to the rear which takes almost all of the experienced tension away. The only time you're going to have to shove hard is if your loading a mag with a closed slide which is not nearly as common.

    • @paulzietsman8443
      @paulzietsman8443 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Many shooters do not rely on the slide lock. You will also not have the slide locked to the rear when doing a tactical reload.

    • @anonypersona3189
      @anonypersona3189 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      In most reload scenarios you don't wait for the slide to lock back. You top off the mag whenever there's a good opportunity and whenever before you re-holster... Besides, why not pay a few $ extra and have a mag that effortlessly fits?

    I dont have a clock but a NAK9 that uses the glock mags, and the glock mags are by far the best in every way. That being said i do have some 27rd Pmags that i use and they work great, but are a bear to load and insert like you said. I shoot the the PMags when im putting them in the dirt to save the wear and tear in the glock mags.
    Haven't tried the ETS mags yet but will when the other's fail, heck the KC mage that came with it works great, that was surprising.

    All my glock factory mags are horrible with the last round, even the ones that are 10+ years old. But that's what the upula mag loader is for. Haven't had any problems with magpul mag. So I bought two 21 round magpul mags to test and hopefully use as my backup mags. Glock only makes a 22 round mag for the .40 and I moved to 9mm

    I have a couple of all the mags you reviewed, I use the Magpul mags exclusively for pistol matches and have never had any issue seating any mag, yes they are harder to load but if you run through as much ammo as I do you buy a loader which makes that a non issue. All of those mags are good mags I run the ets and kci mags in my pcc and have never had any issue with any of them. If you want to shit on a mag go get you a promag glock mag and experience what a bad mag is like bs nit picking quality mags.

    My opinion , glock factory mag is always best. That said there horribly hard to disassemble and the most exspensive. I have never had a problem with magpul mags. Ar or glock style. Same with eta. Mags. But I only carry. Glock when my life and families lives count on it. Range shooting with a bag of mags is different. Save the money and if you don't have a speed loader. I recommend getting one. Thanks for the vid.
