HELLO FRIENDS!!! i just wanted to clarify, i know ur not supposed to put on a scrub every single day, i used the scrub like 3-4 times a week! i had a line in the video about it and i think we cut it for some reason. so i guess my math was wrong and it was more like ~450 applications! thanks & sorry for the confusion!! saf
dana9aree7a i agree with you! she puts lots of work into her videos, she doesn’t just film the content but she researches it and gives us a great well rounded video. she’s better than any other youtuber honestly.
I’m very old. I could be your grandmother...but I’m not. Your humor and videos give me a daily smile and laugh. You’re going places girl. When you get there I can brag I watched you on TH-cam. That will make me very popular. Keep up the good work! We all need someone like you in our lives to balance out the crazy. You are striking and beautiful. Gmama
it's a miracle that her skin don't have any reaction from trying all of the products at the same time. if it was me, my skin will be angry (aka a lot of acne).
yeah, but thats why u make skincare routine for yourself so u just would buy products that prevent/fight acne and your face would look after 10 times better and yet no reactions that cause acne so
Not necessarily, if these products generally have good ingredients, your skin would absorb it well. I have moved to a longer skincare routine and my skin loves it.
@Death Omen Dermatologists say physical scrubs like walnuts are bad for your skin, as they cause micro tearing. Your skin on your face is a lot more sensitive than the skin on your arms or legs. Highly recommend Origins. I think the pricing is fair and is clean.
Even though it’s called a 10 step routine, you don’t need to and shouldn’t use them all everyday. Sheet masks can be used once every 1-2 weeks. Exfoliating should be done 1-2 times a week.
A They didn’t say they didn’t genius. Makeup doesn’t always come off with a regular shower. It stays on your skin so you need the products specifically designed to take it off.
@@Mizako96 bro makeup should not last two showers? yeah make up cleansers/wipes get make up off quicker but washing once with soap and water will still remove most foundations, especially repeated use. someone sounds a lil defensive here lmfao
Unfortunately, a lot of Western guides on Korean skincare gush over the whole "ten step" part of it and fail to mention _when_ those steps should be used, then people make videos derived from those guides using the full ten steps every day. When you choose to use a step will depend on your skin goals and also the time of day (of course). For example, many people don't use oil cleansers in the morning. Some people don't cleanse at all in the morning and only do a rinse, while some might opt for a gentler (e.g. maybe not foaming) water-based cleanser in the morning. Then your specific serums might not be used daily. For someone with hyperpigmentation concerns using a highly-concentrated vitamin C serum, they might only use it a few times a week in order to avoid continuously exposing their skin to such high concentrations of vitamin C. Similarly, sheet masks vary greatly but generally are recommended to be used two to three times a week. For one, it's incredibly expensive to use a high quality sheet mask every day, and you run the risk of clogging your pores or overexposing your skin to the ingredients in the essence. There are masks with less essence that are meant to be used daily, but generally these are hydrating masks for people with significant dryness concerns, so someone with normal or oily skin is just going to break out by using a hydrating mask every single day and trapping all of that into their skin with a moisturizer. Then your exfoliator is used two to three times a week, just like the sheet masks. It is far too harsh on the skin to be exfoliating daily. Realistically, the famed ten-step process shrinks down to about five to eight steps depending on your skin goals, product ingredients, and time of day. It is unfortunate that so many Western guides just say "do these ten things every single day and you too can have Korean glass skin," when doing all of those steps twice a day every day could be harmful to your skin, and many Koreans would advise against doing so as well.
seriously, this is such a helpful informative comment. i am very conscious about my skin and already knew these things but it’s still important that people understand the process and what ingredients they’re using on their skin. you wrote that so well and i wanna give you a standing ovation
I think the last one was "serum" Basically the steps are 1. Oil based cleanser 2. Water based cleanser 3. Exfoliator 4. Toner 5. Face mask 6. Essence (it's used so that your skin can absorb the products better) 7. Serum 8. Eye cream 9. Moisturizer 10. Lip balm
it would have been better if she used a better toner suited for pimple prone skin, or better yet, all products suited for pimple prone skin because there are people with oily skin in korea. she should have used an organic apple seed sebum serum from whamisa or something similar
Keeping the mask in the routine might have helped. I think a weekly cleansing mask, something for blackheads, would have been good for unclogging her pores. Not every day, and definitely not twice a day. But she did look more vibrant & plump at the end.
@@lifewithAysha yeah late reply sorry. i really enjoyed them...but i used them all at the same time at . once and my skin broke out really badly so i had to switch to something more gentle lol
Am I the only one amazed at how Safiya schedules her videos like a pro, releases videos regularly AND the videos take like a month to film. TIME MANAGEMENT GOALS!
Eric LC They're goals! Not that I necessarily want to go into entertainment, but I wish I could have those time-management organizational skills! It's a great example of using education and experience to do something you love. I'd love to see a video about her video-making process!
yo this is also me... but I have eczema and always had sensitive skin so the idea of getting too extra terrifies me... but I think I should definitely try looks like it's time to make room under my sink
I use tea tree foam cleanser, tea tree anti- nonperfection pen and tea tree daily solution. That's my skin morning routine, I have barely to none pimples and acene except ofc my period pimples.
Safiya, I see the noticable difference on your face on day 31. Your face looks very bouncy and youthful and moisturized. You can see how flawless when you put on makeup. Bad skin shows patchy complexion no matter how good ur foundations are (I have dry skin). I notice if I took a diligent skincare regime, my fave would look bright and youthful but when Im being lazy (and lack of sleep), I got a dull face and my makeup makes it even drier. Its horrible.
I also noticed the increased moisture in Safiya's skin by the end! I agree that makeup applies smoother on hydrated skin. I have eczema/ psoriasis/ chronic hives (still getting diagnosed).
@@some_metalhead I suggest Avene (Cleanance) products; they are intended to use on sensitive skin. The Cleanance line is developed for sensitive acne prone skin and helps alot. Especially their cleansing gel and exfoliating mask.

Sooooo interesting video to me! As a Korean, I tried to do those steps often when I was young, but not anymore. New trend is to reduce the steps to keep your skin healthy with less sensitive products. My current routine is: 1. Oil cleanser(with massage), use natural sponge when I wash it out 2. Water based cleanser 3. COSRX Original Clear Pad ; I highly recommend this one! Don't need toner step with it. 4. Snail Cream or Sheet Mask I sometimes add or change steps depending on my skin condition, but these are enough to keep my skin healthy!
COSRX is sooo good, especially their low pH good morning cleanser is super nice, because it's not too harsh. I always use rose water after cleansing and those two combined work like a miracle
COSRX is like a miracle to me 😂 I finally fine the right skincare after some skincare that gave me nightmare or just wast my money and do nothing to my skin
Hi! I'm korean and I really want to say that in korea we don't use all those products at once!! I think korean girls generally have many skincare products for sure but it's becuz your skin condition is not same everyday. For example, if you have dry skin, you don't do double cleansing in winter (very dry season in korea) and use peeling gel once a week .. etc. If you have oily skin you don't put all those moisturizers etc.. I don't know why this 10 step skincare is so popular but im worried that korean skincare looks difficult and complicated. It's all about your skin condition not steps or product. I personally have 1. Cleansing water (it's just to take off fine dust from ouside when you get home 2. Oilbased cleasing 3. Foam cleansing 4. Mist 5. Toner 6. TonerII 7. Emulsion 8. Cream l 9. Cream ll 10. Face oil mix with cream ll + once a week scrub and sheet mask in winter and in summer just 1. Cleansing water 2. Foam cleansing 3. Toner 4. Emulsion
Aydan Qasanova Keep in mind that there’s a HUGE difference in climate by season in Korea. Summers are hot and humid, almost tropical... I used to have oily skin, and during the summer sometimes I wouldn’t even need to apply a moisturizer, my skin would just soak it right up from the air.
Aydan Qasanova In contrast winter weather is quite literally Siberian... the Korean Peninsula is dominated by air masses from that part of the world, so our winter temperatures are extremely low and the weather very dry. In that case, I would probably do everything Saf did here, except at the last / semi-last stage, that eye cream is going over my ENTIRE effing face.
Corbeaux08 oh cool its always nice to know information from the direct source. so i’ll save my skincare regime for cold seasons. because my typical summer is like the one in korea:)
Jina KIM towards the end she said she figured it out and got it down to 8 steps but I still think she used too many products or even used them unnecessarily.
Ghulam Rasool She didn't get payed, because if she was she would say it. You must not be a common visitor to her channel if you think Saf is like that. Cause shes not. Rant over.
i know that this is off topic, but i am hairy asf and seeing that another woman actually rocks having hair on their arms made me feel like i dont need to shave all the time.
honestly i dont even shave my armpits or arms or legs. only thing i shave is my mustache because it annoys me. but body hair isnt something to be ashamed of and i think people should be comfortable with their body hair cuz everyone has it.
@@grace1742 well shaving armpit and pubic hair is better for sanitary reasons, because when you sweat in those areas it gets "caught" in the hair, and it begins to smell because of the bacteria. You dont have to shave those areas, i have heard that some people that dont shave just trim it every once in a while but I'm not sure
Nora Filmora actually removing pubic hair can lead to issues like skin/hair follicle infections, higher risk of sexually transmitted infections, and even smellier and dirtier genitals (pubic hair serves as a ‘trap’ for dirt, odor, and debris, thus leading to a cleaner, better-smelling vagina). Also, you can’t ignore the fact that waxing hurts a lot and shaving is a hassle that can make things itchy and uncomfortable. Nobody HAS to remove any hair on their body and nobody should ever feel pressured to by anyone. If you want to remove it, that’s great, but it’s important that people know the risks of removing it and then make an informed personal decision based on the information that they have.
I am so glad she mentioned that the moisturizer was like fertilizer for the mustache... I experience the same issue, and I'm glad to know I'm not alone!! Thanks for being real, Saf!
Yvonne L you don’t need to be good at mental math to go to standford... there’s plenty of idiots in Ivy League colleges... all you need is a high GPA, high SAT scores, a good application, and $$.
I feel like for me, the 7 step routine works best for me. I've suffered with chronic acne for years, and using a routine like this has helped tremendously. I feel like this particular set of products is more for dry skin, and I've set mine to fit my combo/acne skin. It's definitely a lot of work, but if you're like me, it really might help. Joan Kim does a lot of videos about Korean skincare, so if you're curious, check her out.
Same!! I have always had terrible acne for years, but once I got into the routine of daily facial care (mine is personally 12 steps for night, 11 for day), the amount of acne dropped to pretty much nonexistant. Any acne that does flare up goes down immediately the following day. I think the main key here is using the right products for the type of care you want. In Saf's case I agree with you in that she used a set made for dry skin, and she needed to likely use one meant for acne or oily skin. But then again, not all these steps are for everyone!
I have a ten step korean routine and honestly it has helped my acne and skin so much I highly recommend it to anyone who wants healthier skin. Also you don't have to have ten steps you just need to figure out what products your face needs
For anybody thinking about starting an Asian Beauty routine, please don't start with ten products at once. Do research on good products for your skin type, ingredients, and what sort of products are good to begin with, like double cleansing, moisturizing, and sunscreen. Building your routine over a few months is the way to go, adding new products every few weeks. Putting so much on your skin at one time will lead to breakouts like we saw above and it can also cause reactions that you don't expect if you don't patch test. If you test over time, you will be able to pinpoint what exactly is working and what isn't. Also, certain products might to nothing for your skin at all, which I think is what we saw above. I have oily skin and so products specifically for dry skin do nothing for me and they would be a waste of money. Just get informed before jumping in and spending hundreds of dollars on products that you don't know can work for you.
I second CosRX. More than half my routine is their products. I love their honey ceramide full moisture cream and their good morning cleanser. For an oil/first cleanser I use banila co. clean it zero purity for sensitive skin. I also use some snail mucin products which you can check out but I know that's super weird sounding at first. It helps control the oil in my skin and keeps it moisturized. I can't recommend r/asianbeauty enough. That's where it all started for me.
Danica Brown Yess, this is so important! Always do some research first before you try something like this, especially if you're going to spend this much money on it. Koreans don't do 10 steps every morning and night, using sheet masks and exfoliants every single day is way too much for your skin. Most Koreans use very few, but good products. You should always be as gentle as possible to your skin. Trying ten new products all at once is NOT gentle.
Here are the steps and their benefits: 1. Oil cleanser - to remove make up 2. Water/foam cleanser - to remove oil cleanser and to cleanse even more 3. Exfoliation (only once a week)- to remove dead skin 4. Toner - to bring the pH balance of you skin back to normal. Unlike to most of the toners sold in the Western the Korean toner doesn't contain alcohol or is used to cleanse your skin 5. Essence - It's the heart of the routine. It's most of the time the most expensive part as it contain a lot of amazing ingredients to repair the skin and to aid cell turnover. 6. Serum - to threat your individual problems. Use different after each other or at different skin areas. 7. Sheet masks - filled with serums to give your skin the extra kick 8. Eye cream - to prevent wrinkles around the eyes 9. Moisturizer - even more hydration 10 (morning). Sun protection - probably the most important part. Always wear sun protection at every time of the year. The Korean products smell very good and aren't as "oily". 10 (night). Sleeping mask - Like a thicker hydrating moisturizer which you leave on the skin over night. My tip if you are confused about the order: start from most liquidity (toner) to the thickest (moisturizer/sleeping mask).
French Vanilla I googled it and now I have years of experience. It depends on where you live but most Korean online shops ship world wide and you get a lot of free gifts. Ebay is also good if you looking for one item. Overall I recommend yesstyle, w2beauty and roseroseshop. If you want to get a feeling for it just look for the bestsellers in each category. What is amazing about skin care products is that the good stuff isn't expensive. And it isn't a lie that Korean skin care is 10-25 years ahead of Europe and North America. The Korean women are very interested in the ingredients, therefore companies can't put bad or useless thing in there. For example they have a company called "Missha" mostly known for it's dupes for highend western skin care. And a lot of people, the company included, say that their dupe for the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair is better than the original because it has even better ingredients for less money.
French Vanilla btw the set she bought was from a website called sokoglam. Normally you don't buy the routine in a set, it's just for beginners. But if you look for the bestsellers on these shops I wrote you before you probably find your stuff cheaper and it gives you the opportunity to find out more about the brands. So, don't buy stets. Buy individual products from different brands they normally work perfectly together.
By the way, about the Korean toner. I'm using Korean toner and it smells kind of alcoholic? I still wonder if that's a bad thing 😕 I mean, maybe I just haven't known an alcoholic scent skincare that's good for the skin
i started a 3-4 step korean skincare routine about 2 months ago and my texture has improved so much! just a tip for someone who's willing to try korean skincare but is relatively new to it, you do NOT need 10 steps, or at least right away lol :) look at your skin and what it needs, and start from there. introduce one new product every week to see how your skin reacts (i struggle with mild acne so certain products can break me out), and if your skin loved it, keep using it :) a lovely youtuber named liah yoo provides amazing information on korean skincare and just skincare in general, i recommend checking her out!
Guys you're misunderstanding smth. The important part of this routine is the step not the product. You can use anything you find at your place but it needs to fit your skin type and the routine. Many Koreans use products from different parts of the world and it is the steps that make the difference. You might break out at the beginning because of too much product so I recommend starting with a good cleanser for makeup and some toner and lotion. U can add on the steps to target whatever problems u have along the way. It definitely has advantages and you'll experience the difference more as you age. The skin is very important ppl lets cherish it so that it'll stay young and healthy!
I love Korean Skin care. I am never using foundation on my skin ever and actually don't have to use filters in photos. Plus, skin texture is a lot healthier. A 10 step process however is out of question. I do 3 - 4 step: wash, tone/essence, Moisturize and Sunscreen. Works just fine.
Depends on the brands and the products you use I use Innisfree which I would say is mid range to pricey but it’s great stuff and they have a bunch of options
@@warangalgems8703 I just did a haul for a whole new set because my winter stuff ran out and it was 300CAD but two caveats: it'll last for about 6 months (or the lifecycle of most of the products, they just run out after constant use) and I buy a lot of the more pricey stuff, like the nice eve cream, and the more premium toner. For that much I got oil cleanser, foam cleanser, toner, 2 moisturisers (one for morning one for night), cleansing water, sunscreen, serum, night cream, eye and smile line cream.
the thing about Korean skincare isnt just that you look better overtime, but also that it slows down the aging effects, and keeps your skin looking the way it does(preferably young and smooth) even once you turn to your 30s and 40s
The 10 step changed my world and made me love pampering and I look 20 years younger :D This video made me smile. My hubby joined me in the journey so watching your BF do it really got me smiling.
Yeah I find that a lot of people don't know what essence is so they don't actually use it :( I work at the body shop and they taught us a really good way to explain essence . Basically it is a primer for your moisturiser , it allows serums and creams to sink into deeper layers of the skin and not just the surface . A really good way to explain it is how with sponges , putting soap on them while it's dry doesn't allow the product to sink into the skin yet when you wet the sponge it allows soap to sink in, this is what essence helps achieve in the skin .
This video inspired me to do the 10 step routine. I currently have the clearest, most evenly toned face in my life! The work is totally worth the wait and it’s worth breaking the bank if one does want clear, even, smooth skin.
@@LaHannita96 how long did it take you guys to see true results? I've been breaking out like crazy for the past week or so because of stress, so I just bought a few products (oil based and foaming cleanser, alcohol-free witch hazel toner, essence, and a scrub, not all 10)
I recently started korean skincare and I only do about 5 steps but already in the first week of using the products I noticed a big difference with my face. I’ve been using the products I have now for a month and my face has never been better. I can definitely vouch that Korean skin care is really great especially for very sensitive skin like mine.
I have been doing the Korean skincare steps for years and it has improved my skin so much. I can never go back. My skin is so much healthier. I do the double cleanse, add a toner, spot treatments, essence, sometimes emulsion, 2 different moisturizers and then a cooling spray. I only exfoliate a few times a week and add a sleeping pack on a few times a week too. All this takes me less than 5 minutes. As a lazy person myself it seems like a lot but it really doesn't take long at all and is doable. Just pick products and as many steps as you need. Adjust to your skin needs. The most important thing is to layer the products correctly.
Speaking as a Korean, Im surprised that the rest of the world don't do this skincare routine. Btw, scrubbing is not recommended to use everyday, since it can disrupt your skin. I use it only twice a week.
I barely wash my face (with water lol) unless im taking off my eye makeup which I mostly dont tend to do and I still get compliments with how healthy my skin looks.
I'm pretty sure that half of these steps aren't necessarily daily (such as the scrub and the mask), but watching other people doing this is like huh.... right most of the world doesn't do this....
As someone who's been doing a K beauty routine for a year I only do a few steps daily. Oil cleanser(if wearing makeup or especially sweaty), water cleanser, toner, moisturizer and spf. About once a week I'll do a BCA exfoliating serum, and if I'm feeling especially bad I'll do a serum and night cream. I've definitely noticed a difference over time. But each different skin type has different needs. :)
Don't neglect the neck when it comes to skin care! You can tell alot of a person's age by their neck, so might as well moisturize it too while you're doing your face ~ ♡
Lillie LU I get them too. You can maybe do a scrub massage (idk the english name for it). Apply warm/hot water to your skin and get a cloth (they're made for scrubbing) and scrub your skin to remove dead skin. It'll come off like an eraser being used. In Asia everyone does this. It gets rid of dead skin and makes your skin SO MUCH softer. You can get it done at a spa or do it yourself. I think Buzzfeed has made a video about this before.
Hi im Korean and just want to say that not everyone in korea does this and if we do we usually just take facials that people give. Most of these ten step things are done by K Idols or celebrities.
From what I've read, the guys all have their own facial routines that aren't actually too complex. The basics that they all do is cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and occasionally face masks. I think Tae and Kookie also use creams for pimples. There's an ARA post about it, or you can Google it like I did :)
After trying the Korean skin care routine I will never go back to not doing it. My skin doesn't break out any more and it's clean and bright. Also Safiya honey there are pimple pads from COSRX those can help you with your pimples..they are awesome!
Not even a lot of Koreans do the whole ten yards and have a 10 steps in their routine but Saf it is always best to double cleanse when wearing makeup. Cleanse with an oil makeup remover then use your regular face wash
Yes!!! I usually use my makeup wipes and then have my gel cleanser for a deeper clean as well as to get rid of the residue from the wipes. I find that my skin is actually a lot better than when I only use wipes. And then a moisturiser and go to bed bc wHO NEEDS ANY LIFE BALANCE OR TLC WHEN YOU HAVE APS HAHAHAHA :')
I'm Korean, and my skincare routine is like...anywhere from 4~6 products, twice a day. I don't have clear skin because of hormones and puberty, but it def does help once your skin gets used to it!
JUst a tip for someone who uses korean skincare for a few years now! Be careful with the difference between brightening and whitening products and make sure all the products absorb into the skin before putting on the next also every product and skin is different so make sure you find the ones that work best for you :)
Saf, the Korean in me is dying watching you not use the products on your face AND NECK haha (but seriously always apply all facial products on the face and neck) also, the oil cleanser, eye cream, and night serum are only for night. SPF for the day. sheet masks and exfoliator- NOT everyday- max like 2 or maybe 3x a week.
What about the ingredients in most Korean products? I have to use 99.9% natural products because I have dry and very sensitive skin. Do Korean products follow natural or do they have additives like other products? :-)
yes sad a lot of women fight so hard against something that is literally got nothing to do with the outside can treat them with as mush skin care as they want its a waste of money time effort #hormonesrule.. we all suffer by them hormones monthly well most of us and we gotta just ride it out I have horrible breakouts on my chin each time hate it but just gotta wait it out like the rest of the sisters out here dealing with them hormones :(
Zoe Young I randomly said something the other day and realized that I've picked up her vocal patterns by accident. LOL. Though I noticed in Tyler's videos, he ALSO has a similar way of talking now. LOL
Safiya, you always come up with such great ideas for your videos. I'm not used to seeing interesting stuff in my feed. Ever since I came across your channel, I've never been disappointed by any of your work. Thank you!
Also a good tip for skin and hair are when using oils for moisture: water based first, creams and then oil. Oil also acts as a barrier for protection so if you put something over top oils it won’t absorb and can build up :) friendly tip from a barber/ certified makeup artist 😘
when my korean friend and I lived together I was 25 at the time and she FREAKED out when she found out I didn't wash my face every night and have a routine. She had all this cream and serums and crap from Korea. I started back then taking better care of my skin and glad I did.
It's not racist, but it is generalizing. You kind of sound like a koreaboo lol. Having Korean friends for the sake of them being korean is weird. I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who only liked me for my nationality.
I've been doing this for about a year now and really noticed a difference for the better in my experience. About 2 months in though I really hated how much time it took in front of the bathroom mirror, so I got a smaller mirror and now do it while watching an episode of whatever tv show or youtube video I like before bed. It's a nice night routine!
@@lana-xl3nl I use a different kinds of oil cleansers to take off makeup and then Nature Republic green tea foaming cleanser, a Dear Klaris moisturizing toner, different kinds of sheet masks for essence, a dear claris vitamin c serum, and then Innis Free green tea balancing cream in the mornings or green tea sleeping mask at night. It takes less time than it sounds!
@@shelbyyoung1565 not the OP but I also follow Korean skincare and I saw huge improvement about 2-3 months after starting. Build up to a routine, don't just start off with a million new products bc if your skin reacts negatively to something, you'll know what caused the problems. Overall, my routine takes me about 10-15 total minutes, including the time it takes to let the product set in before layering on the next one. My product list: 1) oil cleanser - I used the same Banila Co one in the video, but I realized pure organic coconut oil does the trick at a much lower price 2) water-based cleanser - I use the rice foaming cleanser from The Face Shop (can't remember the exact name, but it's on Amazon at a really affordable price) 3) toner - I started out with Benton's aloe toner (Soko Glam) and loved it, but I bought a new one (Acwell Licorice pH balancing toner from Soko Glam) and it's working great 4) essence - Cosrx Snail Mucin Power Essence, and I think it works better than the Galactomyces one Saf used 5) serums/boosters - I only have a couple, which I only use when my skin acts up badly (cos de baha niacinamide + zinc for hyperpigmentation and a vitamin C one that I can't remember the brand of) 5) moisturizer - during the day, I use a standard Costco-brand moisturizer, and at night I use rosehip seed oil for intense overnight hydration (The Ordinary has a good one you can buy from Sephora) 6) SPF during the day - anything SPF 45+ works, but physical ones work better than chemical bc you don't need to take extra steps to remove it at the end of your day I don't use sheet masks for the sake of environmental friendliness and it saves me money lol EDIT: my skin is combination-oily and not sensitive, so definitely do research on your skin concerns before buying any products! I'm not a dermatologist, so if you have serious skin concerns, then I highly recommend getting a medical opinion on how to treat them!!!
@@TheEastjewel heh I love that we have the same skin type... Makes my life a lot easier.... Thank you for the tips I will definitely look into them. How costly is it all?
I really like the Korean Skincare routine. I have very dry skin and the Korean Skincare routine helped to hydrate my skin and make my huge pore less noticeable. However, you aren't suppose to exfoliate EVERYDAY!!! You are supposed to do it only once (maybe twice) a week. Also you don't have to do the sheet mask everyday either. After doing the full routine (sometimes with more steps added in) for a couple of months, now I only do all the steps on Saturday. The rest of the week I do about 5 each night, switching which steps I do. It seems to work for me, but I guess YMMV. Thanks for the video Safiya! 💖
I've been using korean skincare (8step for me) for over a year and my skin has never been this good, I have very dry but acne prone skin so it was always so difficult to find something that works
@Amanderins I have SO MANY I use. Right now for the day I use Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer with SPF. Some of the other products I use are: DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, Shiseido Deep Cleaning Foam, Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence, Skin Food Black Sugar Mask, a Hyaluronic Dew Serum with Hyaluronic Acid/ Green Tea/ Vitamin C, a Vitamin C/ AHA serum, La Roche- Posay and Evian facial sprays (for hydration), and Ole Henriksen Eye Gel. I also have almost 200 various face masks. Almost all of them are either made in Korea or the US. I sometimes make my own. Lately, the last product I use on my face at night has been Sweet Almond Oil. Really, I have more products that I use too, it just depends on what is going on with my skin at the time.
Super proud of you for diving in! I was intimidated for the longest time too but finally started a Korean Skincare routine at the ripe age of 25! A good resource to check out is this channel called Beauty Within. They have fantastic product recommendations and visual graphics explaining what different products are even doing for you. To remember the order of my skincare routine I use: “Can This Extra Stuff Make Do?” C - Cleanser (double cleanse if wearing makeup) T - Toner E - Essence S - Serum M - Moisturizer D - Day Stuff (Face SPF of at least 30) It’s important to know what your skin type is first before buying any products, because certain products are great for one skin type and horrible/irritating for the next. Would love to see a follow up video if you wind up determining what makes the cut for daily use from now on!!! Love your vids!!
I've been using Korean skincare products for a couple years now and I wouldn't change it for anything. That being said, I think it's exaggerated a lot on the internet - as it's already obvious from the video you really don't do all 10 steps every time, it's more like options that you can rotate between and after you get to know the products you kind of get into your own personal routine. What I think is the most important, is to find the right brand and products for your skin type and personal preference (like smell and consistency) and then figure out what are the steps you can do everyday and what is okay to only do on weekends or when you want to treat yourself! (Also worth mentioning - I find quality skincare products from Korea to be quite cheaper than the ones I can buy in Europe, that are actually good.)
@@evelynvargas5766 I really have to take a glance at their composition, considering that they authorize a lot of products that are totally forbidden in Europe. So I'm skeptical when people say that it's good for the skin.
Baba Yaga of course you have to look at the ingredients for everything and also you have to be careful about products that China puts out to look like popular Korean products but actually has harmful stuff in it., that being said, I've actually benefited a lot more from Korean products than European . That's just my experience tho
Actually, tea tree oil is actually part of it! You can use It as a serum and also, its eye cream first, (to make sure the treatment doesnt damage your, eyes) essense, serum, rich moisturizer and moisturizer. Thinnest consistensy to thickest. You can add in your spot treat ment immediately after cleansing and waiting 5 minutes to get it working, then do regular routine as normal. The strawberry scrub is a skin softening thermal treatment meant to be warmed by rubbing it with your hand. Another tip is for your creams, try taking a small amount and rubbing it with your hands for even application, then patting it on your face for best absorbtion.
You said you dont see much changes? Not for me. Your face after a month has lifted up, your skin is cleaner and brighter, your face skin sparks! Your face looks less "dead" and tired.
Tjandralala It's foundation honey... It's not it doesn't work. You csn have similar results with only like one cleanser, toner, moisturizer and eye cream. Sometimes mask and exfoliation. And remember, how your skin looks it's mostly genes, lifestyle and environment. If you smoke 40 cigarettes a day even the best product won't change much.
Renee Leese This may be just the light. Even if her skin colour really changed in western culture we don't care. Light skin is not a beauty standard here. So maybe for korean people it is spectacular but as a European I really can't see a difference.
Regardless of if I'm living in Korea or America (I have lived in both) I don't like getting a tan, I never had. I don't care about "beauty standards" at all, just what is right for me. If some product says it's Whitening" I know that means it evens out skin-tone.... it doesn't actually make you paler....
Ashley I you actually replied to me! And I’m not sure what I meant by that but I’m pretty sure I mostly meant that in general in North America the trends lean more towards getting tanned (ie: self tanning creams/tanning salons/adverts warning against tanning) I’m sure those of Asian or Indian descent living in the US still conform to what’s beautiful in their culture though. And honestly whatever makes people happy is good with me although it’s difficult to watch people going to extreme measures which may harm them
The beautiful thing about the Korean skin care routine is that you can customize it for what your needs are for your skin. Maybe use the 10 steps for a special occasion and use 5 steps for everyday. I’ve started doing the double cleansing, a gentle exfoliater (due to my oily skin type), toning, essence, and a moisturizer w spf. Sheet masks twice a week and eye cream will be added when I have enough money for it. Also for anyone that has oily skin please make sure to rub the essence in your hand for at least 45 seconds then gently pat it into the skin versus rubbing and wait for it to dry. Then apply your moisturizer the same way, oily skin during this regimen needs extra care. Hope this helps and happy cleansing! 😊

Juliana Alcantara actually I use many foreign products in my skincare routine...🤔 1.Avene lotion 2.NUXE toning lotion 3.BIODERMA makeup removing water 4.Senka clensing foam... LOL I love drug store products since I buy everything at Olive Young(korean beauty shop) But in korea, foreign products are kinda pricey so I’m not the usual case. There are many great korean make up road shop brands like etude house, innisfree, skinfood, Tonymory, the face shop.....but It’s mostly for teens and early twenties I think? Maybe It is just because of their reasonable prices...Idk sorry for my broken eng :)
it's more important to understand what they all do, why/how it's important and how it will help/improve your skin. don't just use products without properly researching it and diagnosing your skin on what it needs. I have a vigorous skincare routine but everything has a purpose and I see the effects that it has promised.
your skin looks really good and dewy, almost like glass skin but remember if you switch some products you have to keep in mind to use something that can be combined with the other products or your skin may break out due to the combination of wrong products.
The way you put your video together and the sense of humor you and Tyler have really makes my day. We need more you-tubers (or just people in general) like you. I like watching you. Go girl! Are you still using Korean skincare?
I watched my mom doing her gazillion skincare routine growing up, I used to think this was annoying. Now that I'm older, I am thankful to have parents (yes, even my dad lol) who knows a lot about makeup and skincare. And another bonus is that I can steal super expensive ones from them lol I can proudly go out bare-face and still get shit ton of compliments on how clear, glowing and even toned my skin is lol Take care of your skin, especially in the winter
I’m doing this for 3 month now with the extension of using a Foreo dupe with the cleanser and I have skin like a baby now. I’m getting so many compliments and questions about my skin, it’s freaking amazing. I still get hormonal breakouts, but otherwise my skin is clean an smooth.
My skin care routine: Wash with cetaphil Rub in with hazel Let dry Spray with rose water Scrub once a week with st Ives grapefruit lemon scrub Twice a week clean with bioré charcoal wash Enjoy!! Cleared up my acne in about a month**,and I do it EVERY night. **For sensitive, normal skin.
I love the Cetaphil normal to oily cleanser. It feels so much more like a face wash than the regular kind that is like rubbing lotion on your face. Which one do you use?
You should try an acid based exfoliator like lactic or glycolic acid instead of the physical exfoliator! It's much less harsh for your skin. Just be mindful of the strength and be aware you need a week or two for your skin to adjust. But if you give it a try, you won't be disappointed. I suggest checking out The Ordinary's line, too.
now I definitely want to do this, you look so glowy and young in the end result and my skin is always super dull. could definitely use 8 different moisturizers at once
Definitely not something for only celebrities to use and it doesn't have to be super expensive either. Have fun with the skincare journey! Best of luck Ellie!
1. cleanser (if you don't wear makeup just use this) 2.toner 3.sheet mask (twice a week) 4.tap cold spoon around your face for 2min (especially ender the eyes) 5.eye cream 6.moisturizer boom ! so much easier and it works

it's a miracle that her skin don't have any reaction from trying all of the products at the same time. if it was me, my skin will be angry (aka a lot of acne).
yeah, but thats why u make skincare routine for yourself so u just would buy products that prevent/fight acne and your face would look after 10 times better and yet no reactions that cause acne so
Same here... My skin would have killed me by now , if I use all these products...
i thought so too, but it didn't

@@jaybehkay2438 bruh please shower
A They didn’t say they didn’t genius. Makeup doesn’t always come off with a regular shower. It stays on your skin so you need the products specifically designed to take it off.
Mizako 96 makeup that can last 3 showers must be really bad for your skin. I’m just hoping that was hyperbole.
Well said 👍
Best comment.

Just what i was thinking
I think the last one was "serum"
Basically the steps are
1. Oil based cleanser
2. Water based cleanser
3. Exfoliator
4. Toner
5. Face mask
6. Essence (it's used so that your skin can absorb the products better)
7. Serum
8. Eye cream
9. Moisturizer
10. Lip balm
Is it just me or does anybody else also feel like her skin looked much better after that "Routine!"..?
Not just you, I felt it too.
it would have been better if she used a better toner suited for pimple prone skin, or better yet, all products suited for pimple prone skin because there are people with oily skin in korea. she should have used an organic apple seed sebum serum from whamisa or something similar
@@yoongs3878 what toner would you reccomend for me? I have acne and a high pimple prone skin
Keeping the mask in the routine might have helped. I think a weekly cleansing mask, something for blackheads, would have been good for unclogging her pores. Not every day, and definitely not twice a day. But she did look more vibrant & plump at the end.

Same with me!!!
I also noticed the increased moisture in Safiya's skin by the end! I agree that makeup applies smoother on hydrated skin. I have eczema/ psoriasis/ chronic hives (still getting diagnosed).

Sooooo interesting video to me! As a Korean, I tried to do those steps often when I was young, but not anymore. New trend is to reduce the steps to keep your skin healthy with less sensitive products.
My current routine is:
1. Oil cleanser(with massage), use natural sponge when I wash it out
2. Water based cleanser
3. COSRX Original Clear Pad ; I highly recommend this one! Don't need toner step with it.
4. Snail Cream or Sheet Mask
I sometimes add or change steps depending on my skin condition, but these are enough to keep my skin healthy!

@@SodaPS102 I need a step by step and product listing please. I’m new to skincare, and I know this comment is a year old, but I need help!!
Toner 4. Emulsion
Jina KIM so you use only 4 products in summer? i need to screenshot this. and how many products girls with oily skin use?
The dedication though 🙌
When u get paid to do something then ...
Ghulam Rasool She didn't get payed, because if she was she would say it. You must not be a common visitor to her channel if you think Saf is like that. Cause shes not. Rant over.
Right?? a lot of videos try this routine for a week, which is nice but it's better to check out what the more long term results are!
i know that this is off topic, but i am hairy asf and seeing that another woman actually rocks having hair on their arms made me feel like i dont need to shave all the time.
honestly i dont even shave my armpits or arms or legs. only thing i shave is my mustache because it annoys me. but body hair isnt something to be ashamed of and i think people should be comfortable with their body hair cuz everyone has it.
You should just shave everything below the waist, and armpits. Everything else like hair on the arms, back, or stomach, just bleach those hairs
Nora Filmora People don’t HAVE to shave anywhere

Joan Kim does a lot of videos about Korean skincare, so if you're curious, check her out.
it's time to hajima, I will look her up! My skin is a mess.
Joan Kim is a good recommendation if you wanna learn more about the 10 steps. :D
Agree. My skin has improved a lot thanks to this routine. And I will definitely stick to this routine for the rest of my life lol.

Danica Brown Could you recommend product for oily skin?😅
Danica Brown Yess, this is so important!
Always do some research first before you try something like this, especially if you're going to spend this much money on it.
Koreans don't do 10 steps every morning and night, using sheet masks and exfoliants every single day is way too much for your skin. Most Koreans use very few, but good products.
You should always be as gentle as possible to your skin. Trying ten new products all at once is NOT gentle.
Here are the steps and their benefits:
1. Oil cleanser - to remove make up
2. Water/foam cleanser - to remove oil cleanser and to cleanse even more
3. Exfoliation (only once a week)- to remove dead skin
4. Toner - to bring the pH balance of you skin back to normal. Unlike to most of the toners sold in the Western the Korean toner doesn't contain alcohol or is used to cleanse your skin
5. Essence - It's the heart of the routine. It's most of the time the most expensive part as it contain a lot of amazing ingredients to repair the skin and to aid cell turnover.
6. Serum - to threat your individual problems. Use different after each other or at different skin areas.
7. Sheet masks - filled with serums to give your skin the extra kick
8. Eye cream - to prevent wrinkles around the eyes
9. Moisturizer - even more hydration
10 (morning).
Manuelaorginal How do you know and where do I purchase this set?
Girl, does Safiya wish you were there when she needed the help for the steps 😂
By the way, about the Korean toner. I'm using Korean toner and it smells kind of alcoholic? I still wonder if that's a bad thing 😕 I mean, maybe I just haven't known an alcoholic scent skincare that's good for the skin
Her skin does look different and her makeup looks better when applied.
i started a 3-4 step korean skincare routine about 2 months ago and my texture has improved so much!
just a tip for someone who's willing to try korean skincare but is relatively new to it, you do NOT need 10 steps, or at least right away lol :) look at your skin and what it needs, and start from there. introduce one new product every week to see how your skin reacts (i struggle with mild acne so certain products can break me out), and if your skin loved it, keep using it :)
a lovely youtuber named liah yoo provides amazing information on korean skincare and just skincare in general, i recommend checking her out!
Sophia yes ! :D
I love liah, she's great!
Totally agree with you !!
How about the skin on the rest of your body?
Joo Min Lee
Any product or actual korean websites you can recommend?
I love Korean Skin care. I am never using foundation on my skin ever and actually don't have to use filters in photos. Plus, skin texture is a lot healthier. A 10 step process however is out of question. I do 3 - 4 step: wash, tone/essence, Moisturize and Sunscreen. Works just fine.
How much does it cost sis?
Depends on the brands and the products you use I use Innisfree which I would say is mid range to pricey but it’s great stuff and they have a bunch of options
I basically do this except my moisturizer and sunscreen are combined. Plus I do a scrub maybe once a week.
SwapzYume SWAPZZ WHAT DID YOU USE??? Which products

I find that Safiya and The Try Guys are really easy to binge watch. I say I'll just watch 1 video and before I know it I've watched the whole channel
Yep lol
the thing about Korean skincare isnt just that you look better overtime, but also that it slows down the aging effects, and keeps your skin looking the way it does(preferably young and smooth) even once you turn to your 30s and 40s
wow! Saf's channel is growing so fast I can remember back when you had 300k

Do Korean people have dry skin in general, cuz I always notice that their skincare routines use a lot of moisturizer. A lot.

Essence it's like a combination of serum and toner with moisturizing and nourishing affects hope this helped some people
im the army who stole jimins jams ARRRMMMYYY!!!!🙌
Yeah I find that a lot of people don't know what essence is so they don't actually use it :(
I work at the body shop and they taught us a really good way to explain essence .

Same.
You used the same products?
How is your skin now? Do you still do the routine?
@@LaHannita96 how long did it take you guys to see true results? I've been breaking out like crazy for the past week or so because of stress, so I just bought a few products (oil based and foaming cleanser, alcohol-free witch hazel toner, essence, and a scrub, not all 10)
I recently started korean skincare and I only do about 5 steps but already in the first week of using the products I noticed a big difference with my face. I’ve been using the products I have now for a month and my face has never been better. I can definitely vouch that Korean skin care is really great especially for very sensitive skin like mine.
What are the products that you are using? Please share.
Upvote upvote upvote! Glad to see another Korean skincare enthusiast ☺️
Speaking as a Korean, Im surprised that the rest of the world don't do this skincare routine. Btw, scrubbing is not recommended to use everyday, since it can disrupt your skin. I use it only twice a week.
Jenn Jenn all Koreans do this all the time and have been for years? Wow! I started 3 months ago. Love it!
Alicia Amiri that's the secret of their perfect skin I think 😂

You can tell alot of a person's age by their neck, so might as well moisturize it too while you're doing your face ~ ♡
xobaileeox also take care of the skin on your hands
Ikr but there's lines on my neck already... I've been putting cream on my neck, what can I do?
Lillie LU I get them too. You can maybe do a scrub massage (idk the english name for it). Apply warm/hot water to your skin and get a cloth (they're made for scrubbing) and scrub your skin to remove dead skin. It'll come off like an eraser being used. In Asia everyone does this. It gets rid of dead skin and makes your skin SO MUCH softer. You can get it done at a spa or do it yourself. I think Buzzfeed has made a video about this before.
张美琪 alright thank you! I'll check it out! But from your user name, you can type Chinese right? :))
Lillie LU Yup! I'm decent at writing Chinese, but not completely fluent yet

Hi im Korean and just want to say that not everyone in korea does this and if we do we usually just take facials that people give. Most of these ten step things are done by K Idols or celebrities.
Does BTS use some of these and no I'm not a koreaboo
BTS lover Perhaps?
From what I've read, the guys all have their own facial routines that aren't actually too complex. The basics that they all do is cleanser, toner, moisturizer, and occasionally face masks. I think Tae and Kookie also use creams for pimples. There's an ARA post about it, or you can Google it like I did :)
@@sophieavalos5644 bts use them. Guess new to Kpop right?

After trying the Korean skin care routine I will never go back to not doing it. My skin doesn't break out any more and it's clean and bright. Also Safiya honey there are pimple pads from COSRX those can help you with your pimples..they are awesome!
Korean face masks are BOMB
What Korean products you use?
I love cosrx. And that skincare routine has made a huge impact on my skin as well. Wish I'd have discovered it years ago.
SIS WHATS YOUR ROUTINW
Not even a lot of Koreans do the whole ten yards and have a 10 steps in their routine but Saf it is always best to double cleanse when wearing makeup. Cleanse with an oil makeup remover then use your regular face wash
Rania B ARMY
I agree, especially if you are wearing waterproof/long lasting makeup
SPF for the day. sheet masks and exfoliator- NOT everyday- max like 2 or maybe 3x a week.
soogiexwoogie thats what I was thinking
soo true
Very helpful!
soogiexwoogie yesss omg i was dying
You dont do all of the steps every day
Its says in the description of that
What about the ingredients in most Korean products? I have to use 99.9% natural products because I have dry and very sensitive skin. Do Korean products follow natural or do they have additives like other products? :-)
no matter how many skin care u use, when it comes to period, hormone rules! :'
Yeah... the hormones rule 😢
So truueee
yes sad a lot of women fight so hard against something that is literally got nothing to do with the outside can treat them with as mush skin care as they want its a waste of money time effort #hormonesrule.. we all suffer by them hormones monthly well most of us and we gotta just ride it out I have horrible breakouts on my chin each time hate it but just gotta wait it out like the rest of the sisters out here dealing with them hormones :(
Sad but true.
I had my first period this month and I already am having breakouts
I’m completely in love with the fact of her “not exaggerating” about products.
I love Safiya because she doesn't copy other TH-camrs because she does her own thing and she's amazing at it. Also I love how she talks idk why 😂
Zoe Young I randomly said something the other day and realized that I've picked up her vocal patterns by accident. LOL.
Though I noticed in Tyler's videos, he ALSO has a similar way of talking now. LOL
I also love how she talks, but I do know why. Unlike a lot of women her age, she's doesn't have a vocal fry. Look it up if you don't know what it is.
Fuzzalina OH! no, you're so right. I hadn't really analyzed her voice that deeply to realize, but I get that! vocal fry is so overused.
I love her “Alright”
Other people copy her
Safiya, you always come up with such great ideas for your videos. I'm not used to seeing interesting stuff in my feed. Ever since I came across your channel, I've never been disappointed by any of your work. Thank you!
I'll do this for a day and get tired of it immediately, kudos to you for doing it for a month straight!!!
Veno Centeno I get lazy but after I do it I feel so fancy lol
Also a good tip for skin and hair are when using oils for moisture: water based first, creams and then oil. Oil also acts as a barrier for protection so if you put something over top oils it won’t absorb and can build up :) friendly tip from a barber/ certified makeup artist 😘
when my korean friend and I lived together I was 25 at the time and she FREAKED out when she found out I didn't wash my face every night and have a routine. She had all this cream and serums and crap from Korea. I started back then taking better care of my skin and glad I did.
Lick Jimin's Sexy Korean Abs BTS ARMY - Not every Korean listens to only BTS, and that very low-key sounded racist.
Diabolic Angel not really.
Diabolic Angel As a Korean myself I was not very offended but it is true that not all Koreans like bts
It's not racist, but it is generalizing. You kind of sound like a koreaboo lol. Having Korean friends for the sake of them being korean is weird. I wouldn't want to be friends with someone who only liked me for my nationality.
I don’t think they’re being serious anyway tbh
I've been doing this for about a year now and really noticed a difference for the better in my experience. About 2 months in though I really hated how much time it took in front of the bathroom mirror, so I got a smaller mirror and now do it while watching an episode of whatever tv show or youtube video I like before bed. It's a nice night routine!
amac what products do you use?
@@lana-xl3nl I use a different kinds of oil cleansers to take off makeup and then Nature Republic green tea foaming cleanser, a Dear Klaris moisturizing toner, different kinds of sheet masks for essence, a dear claris vitamin c serum, and then Innis Free green tea balancing cream in the mornings or green tea sleeping mask at night. It takes less time than it sounds!
How long does it take? What's the cost? And what products do you use?😅
My product list:
1) oil cleanser - I used the same Banila Co one in the video, but I realized pure organic coconut oil does the trick at a much lower price
2) water-based cleanser - I use the rice foaming cleanser from The Face Shop (can't remember the exact name, but it's on Amazon at a really affordable price)
3) toner - I started out with Benton's aloe toner (Soko Glam) and loved it, but I bought a new one (Acwell Licorice pH balancing toner from Soko Glam) and it's working great
4) essence - Cosrx Snail Mucin Power Essence, and I think it works better than the Galactomyces one Saf used
5) serums/boosters - I only have a couple, which I only use when my skin acts up badly (cos de baha niacinamide + zinc for hyperpigmentation and a vitamin C one that I can't remember the brand of)
5) moisturizer - during the day, I use a standard Costco-brand moisturizer, and at night I use rosehip seed oil for intense overnight hydration (The Ordinary has a good one you can buy from Sephora)
6) SPF during the day - anything SPF 45+ works, but physical ones work better than chemical bc you don't need to take extra steps to remove it at the end of your day
I don't use sheet masks for the sake of environmental friendliness and it saves me money lol
EDIT: my skin is combination-oily and not sensitive, so definitely do research on your skin concerns before buying any products!
I've been using korean skincare (8step for me) for over a year and my skin has never been this good, I have very dry but acne prone skin so it was always so difficult to find something that works
liannangel2004 do you have sensitive skin?
liannangel2004 also which products do you use
Although I have had eczema, I have not had any problems on my face from using any type of skin care and I have tried A LOT!
To remember the order of my skincare routine I use: “Can This Extra Stuff Make Do?”
C - Cleanser (double cleanse if wearing makeup)
T - Toner
E - Essence
S - Serum
M - Moisturizer
D - Day Stuff (Face SPF of at least 30)
It’s important to know what your skin type is first before buying any products, because certain products are great for one skin type and horrible/irritating for the next.
Laima B. Where do you buy your products? And is Korean skincare products really the best ?
@@evelynvargas5766 I really have to take a glance at their composition, considering that they authorize a lot of products that are totally forbidden in Europe. So I'm skeptical when people say that it's good for the skin.
Baba Yaga of course you have to look at the ingredients for everything and also you have to be careful about products that China puts out to look like popular Korean products but actually has harmful stuff in it., that being said, I've actually benefited a lot more from Korean products than European . That's just my experience tho
Laima B. (C h i l d L a b o r)
Laima B. Can you please direct me to where you purchase Korean skin care products in Europe? Thanks!
In the last shot her face is like a totally different colour!
And I’m not sure what I meant by that but I’m pretty sure I mostly meant that in general in North America the trends lean more towards getting tanned (ie: self tanning creams/tanning salons/adverts warning against tanning)
I’m sure those of Asian or Indian descent living in the US still conform to what’s beautiful in their culture though.
And honestly whatever makes people happy is good with me although it’s difficult to watch people going to extreme measures which may harm them
I'm watching this video after not seeing it for such a long time and it warms my heart to see Crusty again :') rest easy sweet baby

it's more important to understand what they all do, why/how it's important and how it will help/improve your skin. don't just use products without properly researching it and diagnosing your skin on what it needs.
And another bonus is that I can steal super expensive ones from them lol I can proudly go out bare-face and still get shit ton of compliments on how clear, glowing and even toned my skin is lol Take care of your skin, especially in the winter
same gurl, my parents are really careful with their skin and stuff
Safiya has already 3m i'm so proud of her congrats ❤

Your face looks cleaner and brighter, the skin tone is more smooth. I think it really works...daaaaamn
safiya your skin before and after the routine looks like total goals...
I’m doing this for 3 month now with the extension of using a Foreo dupe with the cleanser and I have skin like a baby now. I’m getting so many compliments and questions about my skin, it’s freaking amazing. I still get hormonal breakouts, but otherwise my skin is clean an smooth.
What products are you using @jaymicris?
Which products???
My skin care routine:
Wash with cetaphil
Rub in with hazel
Let dry
Spray with rose water
Scrub once a week with st Ives grapefruit lemon scrub
Twice a week clean with bioré charcoal wash
Enjoy!! Cleared up my acne in about a month**,and I do it EVERY night.
**For sensitive, normal skin.
Noborkdoggo thanks for sharing
You could use the Neutrogena cleanser, is cheaper than Cetaphil and doesn't have sls
I do the exact same thing I'm freaking out this is so cool!!!!! What rose water do you use? I use the Mario Badescu from urban outfitters hbu?
I switched to the Korean routine and my skin is way better.
what are you using?
SHE'S SO PRETTY WITHOUT MAKEUPPPP HOWWWW
"i've been looking for that" ......boy. it was right there on the counter.....
?
I thought the same thing lol
lmfaooo
It was a joke 😂
I bet they have separate sinks. It seems like every youtube couple has two sinks in their bathroom lol
now I definitely want to do this, you look so glowy and young in the end result and my skin is always super dull. could definitely use 8 different moisturizers at once
It's like $200 cause only celebrities in Korea use it
SavageUnicorn 24 that’s ok, im a Working Woman™️
@@elliethegreat9
I am too but I just am saying only like kpop stars are suppose to use it but I would use it myself
Best of luck!
Definitely not something for only celebrities to use and it doesn't have to be super expensive either. Have fun with the skincare journey! Best of luck Ellie!
Am I the only one that got motivated to wash my face?😂
lmao I am leaving the computer to do that right now
I actually got up to wash my face because it was oily and I realized when watching Saf lol
Just got done applying my rose face cream 😂
No.. i went ahead to scrub, put a mask halfway this video and then came back to watch it finish
