- I've been hearing about Lipsense liquid lipstick for months, and I finally got to try it out for a full EIGHTEEN hours! I put it through a few tests and really tried to push it to the limit (within reason, lol). What do you guys think?

lipsense is not only a MLM (Multi Level Marketing Scheme) but theres been reports on people whose lips started bleeding from the product,
some distributors can also be predatory, preying on people suffering from mental illneses , i really hope you dont constantly use this product or promote it as it could be very dangerous

And, different colors wear differently as well. Some colors are more like 4-6 on me, and others can go 12-18 hours without missing a beat. Eating and such of course affects longevity as well

I got the Wet and Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick, and it took me FOREVER to try and get that ish off. That stuff is MATTE. It does NOT budge! I would just use that as opposed to this stuff- and it only costs $4.99!! I love your videos Saf!

The problem for me is. I play trumpet in a show band in a school which has two showchoirs. I'm in one show choir then the show choir band of the other. So when we wear bright red lipstick for show choir and then make it to finals, literally any lipstick will be off because of my instrument. Its not because of sweat, or food, or clothes changing, or drinks. Nothing ever seems to work and I've heard that LipSense works very well for this situation. I have the Liquid Catsuit and it does not work.

I know this is old news, but I have used Maybelline super stay in performances during the Texas heat throughout football games performing during half time. I'd put it in around 6pm, sweat my ass off, and it would still mostly be on by the time I got home around midnight. Never looked patchy, didn't hurt like lipsense does (my mom bought some and I've tried it), and overall I would also recommend it if anyone needs a longwear, inexpensive, fantastic product
And doesn't crack your lips to the point where you can't even eat because it hurts so much
Maybelline superstay is the best product I've tried! It stays, even on my lips where regular lipstick usually disappears after a very short time

My mom uses this and they are terrible, they do smell like rubbing alcohol and I advise no one to use these. It's terrible and saf was not over reacting when she said it hurts. These are terrible.
I had a similar one too by a different brand and MAN, it hurt so much that I couldn't stand it. But then again, I have very sensitive skin and I'm not great with most makeup. Found out it had alcohol in it too though and threw it away. I can't stand any kind of liquid stain the same as liquid eyeliner.

Applying a gloss is easier than reapplying lipstick though. You have to be more precise to apply lipstick whereas you can just apply gloss without even using a mirror.

My biggest problem with lipsense is that you need to use an unnecessary chemical to remove it. I prefer makeup that you can remove with just water, or soap and water.
The remover actually have moisturizing oils in it that help remove it! :)
taramorse Vaseline works to take it off well after a couple hours of wear.
taramorse, I use this stuff all the time, and I don't even own the oops remover. I use the Neutrogena clear bar and it comes right off. and as for the patchyness of that color, I have 3 shades, and two of them definitely preform better than the other one. but that happens with almost every brand.
I use coconut oil or blistex. They say they CANT sell you a colour unless you have a remover which is bogus so I lied and said I already had a remover because I wasn't spending that kind of money on something that wasn't necessary.

I got it for dance recitals and I think it works great! I liked it, but if you don’t use the lipgloss that goes with it, it doesn’t work nearly as well. You have to apply the lipgloss before you eat or whenever it starts to wear off, having to apply the lipgloss multiple times is the only thing I didn’t like about it. For me it lasted for about 12 hours.
Or you could get the Maybelline Matte Ink which lasted 10 hours for me while eating and drinking and not worrying about having to touch up with a gloss - only 10$!!!Girl get that instead of that 50$ disaster. Plus what's so great about that drying af lipstick if I have to buy an additional gloss so "it WoRkS bEsT". What a ripoff

I tried this out at a convention once from their official booth and when I asked how to remove it they completely dodged my questions so I was stuck with this on for the ENTIRE con and when I got home I had to take 95% acetone nail polish remover to it and even then it didn't get it all off... I would not recommend 😬😬
Why would you use acetone on your lips? That's very stupid and potentially dangerous. You probably could've use some kind of oil and scrubbed at it. That would've been a lot safer.

(also a synchronized swimmer) lmao not really. We generally just used really cheap lipstick because it tends to be waxier and it really only needs to be on your face for like five minutes max. Honestly, the cheap stuff wears off wayyyy less than one would think. I was kind of amazed when I first started swimming :) (Stanford has a really killer synchro team btw. Idk if you knew that or not :) )

For me the rimmel London lipstick did not work at all. It went on streaky and flaked within 10 minutes of wearing it. Maybe it was the colour I had but I am not interested in purchasing it again
Rebecca Barber I found the pink and the red shades to be amazing but the mauvey purpley one and the brown nude to be more streaky. None of them have really been flakey (until like 8 hrs of wear)

*i use peripera's ink the velvet or ink airy velvet* and they cost MUCH less than the lipsense and probably smell and feel better than it too :) [can't say for sure though, since i've never tried the lipsense]

I use Peripera Airy Ink velvet in Pretty Orange pink, yes because Hani uses it-- And like if I let it dry, it doesn't budge! Etude House has one called the cherry lip tint that's also amazing!

Yes, all are pyramid schemes. My mom used to be a MaryKay lady and while she has nothing bad to say about it, I have watched videos where people talk about it negatively. My mom has a lot of extra MaryKay crap in her closet, which I occasionally look at, and I wondered why so I asked her. She said it wasn’t a bad job but it didn’t earn her loads of money and to be a salesperson, you have to be kind of annoying, which she didn’t like. So yeah.....

It only burns if your lips are dry. Continuous use with the gloss hydrates them and it stops. Also, there’s alcohol to keep bacteria from building up in the tube. The tingle is the alcohol evaporating. Once dry the alcohol is gone. It’s actually a great product. Its helped my lips heal from extreme dryness and naturally plumped them due to restoring hydration. I don’t agree with everything the company does, but the product does work 😊 As everything else in the world, it may not be everyones cup of coffee.

Lip Sense is HELL! My lips were chapped for 2 weeks after wearing lipsense, even though I put on tons of lip masks and chapstick. There is so much alcohol in this that it DESTROYS your skin. 0/10 do not recommend.
Spaghetti-O Steve chapstick has wax, so it only creates a barrier of comfort over your lips, it doesn't actually hydrate all that well. LipSense also doesn't work for everyone, like many other makeup products

Spaghetti-O Steve You were going through the exfoliating phase. To get through that phase a little faster just brush your lips with a tooth brush. after the exfoliating phase the color lasts longer.
Spaghetti-O Steve it takes time for your lips to get used to it. apply the gloss every 30 min the first few days and exfoliate often and you should be fine...
I tried Lipsense once & was so excited at first. It really does stay put. I remember thinking peeling lips thing was overly exaggerated... Then a few days passed & my lips started peeling to the point where they were bleeding. I mean, actual skin peeling off with raw flesh underneath in spots. I couldn't smile for over a week until my lips healed. So painful! I actually thought I had ruined my lips forever. The exfoliation phase is a total lie. Straight up alcohol is what causes the peeling. I sadly threw my tube away & will gladly suffer through touch-ups throughout the day, because it was not worth having bloody lips.
If you want to have a lip product that lasts longer look into different lipstains, or tinted lip balms. Usually they're much more comfortable than actual lipstick or gloss too

It definitely stayed in place the whole time, and has super impressive wear. But it started out pretty patchy, so I probably wouldn't ever buy it.
ThatLaurenThing usually It's the darker colors. All the lighter nudes and pinks are fine!
ThatLaurenThing honestly the patchiness is due to user error. Since you don't apply it as you would a normal lipstick it does take some practice getting it down. And if you apply too much product to certain areas it will flake off. Thin even layers are the way to go. (I don't sell this stuff, but I have it in a gorgeous red.)

The application was quite bad, and I'm not saying it's Saf's fault, I think she's a pro at applying lipstick by now, but for a pricier lipstick, I would want a better look when put on
Réka Kis I know, right? She attributed the patchiness of the lipstick to her imperfect application, which I think, isn't really the case. 😞 This company's super sketchy.
Application does kind of take some getting used to. For me I use flygirl pretty much daily which is a bright red. Once you get used to the application you can put it on with no streakiness or anything like that. The lipstick is bomb tbh.
I wore it on 98 degree weather in Disney world for 14 hours and it stayed on with no problems. lol
I found that it applies much smoother if you stretch out your lips a bit, kinda like when you smile, and keep them stretched as it's drying :)
My sister in law bought a bunch of these lipsticks when we went to a lipsense party. And I feel as though none of them go on super nicely. My sister in law can barely get the lipsticks to stay on for more than an hour. She's asked the distrubuter what she was doing wrong. I feel as though it's a bit gimmicky if you can't figure it out by yourself.

I think it depends on the user as well as application. I have the stuff and mine lasts well over 24hrs but my sister has used mine and it didn't last even half the time. Same reason there is a disclaimer on almost every product that "results may vary" (I'm not a rep)

I can't decide between the custom foundation and the Ordinary serum foundation! Saf should try when they are back in stock. You just have to put your email and they will notify you when available. Plus it's like a high end product that's only $6-7. Small though.

My friend unfortunately fell for the lipsense pyramid scheme and she regrets it. There's no way to make real money unless you spend hundreds and hundreds on each order and/or if you have people sign up under you and they spend hundreds of dollars.
