An interesting tidbit about the FF16 version is that Odin and his trusty steed Sleipnir are two separate entities this go around. People joked about how Barnabas' commander was named after the horse but if you go into the game's in-universe Wikipedia system after the Odin fight, you'll learn that human Sleipnir is in fact that very same horse we see Odin gallantly riding. So for the first time in this nearly 30-year series, we see Odin and his steed acting separately from each other.
@WarrenValion in 14 Odin is a rare random encounter that has a chance of spawning every few days. When he spawns, word gets out fast, and dozens of players fight him together. It's quite the spectacle. I don't think he kills the whole server though. Just the dozens and dozens of players and traveled very far to participate
@@niksolureally? Odin transform into his own horse Sleipnir way more ridiculous, and let other use his sword and perform flowery rotation is Zantetsuken?
XVI has the best summon designs, they're all just so good. But damn, gotta love Odin in VIII. Cold ass motherfucker rides in unannounced and unplanned, styles on his opponents, and than fucks off because he's way too cool to deal with any of that junction bullshit.
Odin will use Gungnir in FF7 if you summon him to a fight where the enemy is immune to instant death - throwing the spear high up to the sky and it will then fall and pierce the target from above - dealing damage instead of instant kill (because you can't instant kill bosses in FF7, so they have to make Odin still useful in boss fight) it's an interesting iteration of the Spear that never misses
Actually it is possible too instant kill any boss in the game with cait siths second limit break. The odds of this happening are EXTREMELY small so it'll probably only happen 1-3 times per playthrough
You forgot FF14's Zantetsuken and the entire fight with Raiden in the Baldesion Arsenal, and you also forgot all the different versions of FF16's Zantetsuken.
I just realized u could had added Clive's lvl 3 to lvl 5 Zantetsuken since it's really Odin's. Also in Shiva video where clive using diamond dust and other Eikons/summons since he is actually borrowing/using their powers
I certainly hope that the one in Crisis Core(which looked like TRAINING with REAL combatants) was non-lethal... and that NONE of them were a hidden Cloud!!!
i like how he is kinda a goblin on a horse, then ff7 happened he is a bit cooler then 8 a bit cooler ff7 cc happens and he is AMAZING he goes to be a pony after that just to become this MENACE after 16
@@wiseguy240Winston it matters because in norse mithology sleipnir has six legs, and in most other games they did it right so why go back in 13? It was lazy
@Antimonium Probably because of the way the Eidolons were designed in the game, they had to somewhat keep in mind the engineering behind the Gestalt transformation at least a little bit, and giving Odin's Gestalt mode six legs would've cluttered the design in his regular mode. Also, I don't know why you're so hung up on it since Odin in Final Fantasy has almost jack all to do with the Odin in norse mythology, save for the name and the horse who's SOMETIMES six-legged. Also, none of this matters because Sleipnir in Mythologh has EIGHT legs. Not six. None of the other names had it right either, buddy. I don't see why XIII is the only one being scrutinized for mythological inaccuracy.
@@pedroportela6476 oh god it had eight I’ve always thought it had six Anyway being too cluttered is no excuse, vanille’s summon had a bunch of arms, I only bash on xiii because it was a disappointing game
16 just bring odin to whole another level
They seriously went full Vergil on him
They brought many to the next levels. Titan was the most badass eikon or summon in entire final fantasy history. Literally a TITAN destroyer.
Clive may cry 16
Too bad we can’t actually use him.

Odin was always badass but somehow ff16 made him 100x more badass
You forgot FF14’s where if you don’t beat him fast enough he Shin-Zantetsuken’s an entire server’s worth of people.
Are you serious?
@@WarrenValionOdin in FF14 would instantly kill everyone fighting him in the area if you didn't beat him before Shinzantetsuken

ff16 odin making this giant sword was really the dumbest thing I have seen in this game😂

Until Seifer cut him half…
FF16 ODIN Design is Masterpiece.

FF16 is the first time I notice that odin has a 6 legged horse
When I saw that Sleipner was a boss I thought we would fight his horse
It should have 8 legs
Ff16 is the most accurate one just because it’s scary
Ff14 is also scary.
Only time Torgal ran away.

Level 5 Zantetsuken feels so good to pull off
Wish there was a better perspective for FF16’s, really show how _massive_ that blade was against Ifrit.
0:53 You missed? How could you missed? It was, like, 3 feet in front of you!
FF16 just redefined Odin
Transformer Odin ; the only Odin I didn't acknowledge of. The rest, marvelous.
13 had the worst versions of the summons in FF
Inb4 someone remembers type-0 and it's Odin, who was literally use in the first chapter
Once again Type-0 got forgotten, and he's quite fun to use in the game too :(
It's also op as freak, it can carry you through the hardest missions and trial like nothing
You missed FF14’s Odin using that ability. Hell, he even wiped a whole server with that move.
I just realized u could had added Clive's lvl 3 to lvl 5 Zantetsuken since it's really Odin's. Also in Shiva video where clive using diamond dust and other Eikons/summons since he is actually borrowing/using their powers
Odin Zantetsuken in FF8 by far the best
agree

7:42 in JP
Odin : 《斬鉄剣究極奥義》! 《大斬鉄》・・・! (Zantetsuken kyūkyoku ōgi) ! (Dai zantetsu) (cut steel blade ultimate move) (big cut steel)
Clive : やらせん!(I won't let you!)
English translation really took the cool technique out glad I play in JP
What about FF5!?
I was not expecting to hear the midi version of the ff7 battle theme lol
No FF14? There are 3 different times you can see it happen. The FATE, his Trial, or using his Magicite in Heaven on High.
FF16 Odin literally wields the Yamato, a sword that can cut anything.
You skipped Final Fantasy 11 Odin
8, 9, crisis core psp, and 16.
What about final fantasy 4 ds
I love the games where they ACTUALLY split apart.
Just having them die is so disappointing.
You skipped Odin in FF4 and 5
Other final fantasy : odin
Final fantasy 16 : berserk + noah
EVERY DAM SINEW
Where is FFIV???
i like how he is kinda a goblin on a horse, then ff7 happened he is a bit cooler
then 8 a bit cooler
ff7 cc happens and he is AMAZING
he goes to be a pony after that just to become this MENACE after 16
World of final fantasy ver was better
👍👍
FFXIII is the best, he even got Zantetsukened by Seifer.
You mean VIII ? There's no Seifer in XIII
So no ff5 or ff type zero how sad
This channel must not like ff14 it seems
No FFXIV Sadge
13 couldn't even make the horse six-legged smh
Why does that matter when the original Odin didn't have 6 legs?

Top 5 Odins
1.8
2. 7CC
3. 16
4. 13
5. 9
Finally we got rid of his ugly crescent horns in 16😂😂
FF8 and FFCC are best looking Odin.
ht have blinked at the ff16 section
“Steel Bladed Sword” what a stupid ass butchering of a legendary name.
Thats the litteral translation, so its technicly not butchering.
