Honestly i like FFXV summons more. It felt so "Majestic" when it come out, and after they left, it affected the environment, which is awesome. Imagine if they make it on PS5.. the graphic will be on par with FFXVI's Eikons.
I think one thing that actually hurts the sense of scale in XVI is that there ceases to be any human beings or human-scale architecture to compare the Eikons to after the first couple of fights. When the smallest thing in the scene is Ifrit, it's hard to fully comprehend the size of Titan or Bahamut. The scenes involving all the Astrals in XV are awe-inspiring /because/ there's a tiny little person or a massive skyscraper of known size right there to show you just how big they are.
Ngl, the summons in FFXV always felt so… underused. They were kinda relevant to the plot, but most of them just appear once and them disappear never to be seen again (tbh the only actually cool summons were Leviathan and Bahamut)
Final fantasy 8 ifrit and final fantasy 16 ifrit almost same, and the bahamut too. For shiva maybe ff15 near it to ff16. And ramuh in ff8 called quezacotl. Oh and odin in ff8 almost same with odin ff16
Since when did noctis fight Garuda? I never saw that fight. Come to think of it i barely saw any of the summons in 15. And when i did it was always Ramah.
Garuda fight and summon in 15 are from a special side quest crossover with FF14, you meet a Miqo'te and she asks you to stop the summoning of FF14's Garuda, as reward you get FF14's cotumes for all the characters based on the playable races of FF14.

Yeah 16 has more interesting designs across the board. Ramuh is pretty similar though, but I enjoy 16's version more since he looks more majestic. Bahamut in 15 being a knight and no dragon makes it stand out more but Bahamut in 16 is perhaps the coolest moment in vg history.

Bahamut XV is actually great design wise. IF it was a different character lol. Bahamut was a dragon or humanoid dragon, not this guy who looked like it came from the edgy convention and won the competition there.
There is a story reason for that on Dawn of the Future XV Bahamut actually looks exactly like Noctis and similar to Somnus (Ardyn's brother) and they're apparently that way by design of Bahamut and the dude is so in love with himself that this is possibly the reason he chose Somnus instead of Ardyn and quite possibly one of the if no the main reason he made the other suffer so much and actively tried to deny him as the true king
@@Force-Multiplier Dawn of the Future is really just badly written fanfic for Ardyn fans and purists. The amount of salt and seething I saw beacuse Bahamut was displayed as not evil was something.

Some appear almost everywhere and others only on set areas/fights, Shiva, ramuh and garuda appear a lot, others are too big so they are a little restricted, like titan and leviathan. Bahamut just get summoned 2 times, once against ifrit and another time in a cutscene if you have the royal edition update, and the last one is carbuncle appearing on easy mode if you played the platinum demo. Ramuh appear more than others because his attack can get everywhere basically, with his staff piercing through underground/indoor areas, the longer a fight goes the bigger the chance to get him to appear(very easy to happen). Garuda is a collab side quest summon that you unlock, after you get her she appears a lot, I think she works like ramuh but only outside(easy to happen). Titan appear in very wide outdoor areas and is more likely to appear if your allies are downed(a little complicated). Leviathan appears in very wide outdoor areas next to large bodies of water and is more likely to appear if noctis is in danger, hardest one to get since you always get healed and not many places fit the description, luckily the final area lets you summon her more easily(hard af outside of final area). Shiva appears in indoor and outdoor areas and she's more likely to appear if you're in danger, the fight is taking long and/or your allies are downed(kinda common) Carbuncle only gets unlocked if you played the platinum demo and he only appears on easy mode, idk how easy it is to summon, since I played the demo on a friend's console and Square Enix removed the demo for some stupid reason 1 year later.
I don't really get the point of comparing these two games ? FFXV summons are assets that can be used in any battle while FFXVI summons are only scripted cinematic boss fights. Of course, we expect a lot more from a scripted cinematic fight than a cinematic usable in any battle
The strange thing is that XV /does/ have scripted cinematic scenes that might be more appropriate to compare with XV that weren't used here -- most notably involving the Titan and Leviathan fights, the speedboat sequence in Episode Ignis, the pre-Citadel scene in Royal Edition, and the lead-in to the final boss fight in Comrades. It's still difficult to compare, though, because XV maintains the same engine for basically everything while XVI completely switches playstyles and perspectives for the scripted fights.

idc what ANYONE says, Final Fantasy 15 was a GREAT game, i had literal TEARS at the end, that said, Final Fantasy 16 is ALSO GREAT, and i hope that we get DLC to fight Shinryu, Omega, Leviathan, and maybe PAIN from FF10?
*Payne
I loved 15 but it was horrible to play at release. The whole thing in Insomnia before you got to the front of the castle was NOT THERE and a lot of other content was added after release as well.
Ramuh and shiva in xv still the best. Titan in xv is not bad either but can’t compare to xvi.
they really did some amazing graphic updates
While 15 reminded me that I summoned a literal GOD
In 16 after a while of Oh big people fighting it’s…oh another one
Ramuh in 15 is hulkingly huge compared to cid's ramuh, just look at the spear besides noct. Other eikon is similar in size, but better in design for 16
Shiva in FFXV is very sexy and seductive, Shiva in FFXVI is very adorable
ff16 Shiva looks more Royally adorable

Especially on PC, maxed out with all the enhancements, FFXV actually looks better than 16 in many aspects, and the animation work on character movements is far better. Replaying it now and was amazed by how good the game looks. But 16 looks better in other areas. Primarily cutscenes and Eikon design. Both have their merits. I was just surprised at how unreal 15 still looks for such an older game.
15 is terrible and it aged poorly nothing of what you said is close to true
@@rushpatriot2866lmao man that’s far from how I feel I actually was kinda let down by 16 so it took me back to 15 and I was blown away how fucking good it was
i dont even remember fighting bahamit in ffxv.
i loved ffxv summons, but the worst thing was they had shitty requirements to appear, and after getting garuda, i could only see her when summoning.
Thats cus we never did fight bahamut, there was a fight in the multiplayer dlc that I think was the literal final boss but that aside no
that's because you never fight him on the main story of XV
you only fight Bahamut in XV on the Brothers in Arms Multi-player Expansion (wich isn't available anymore since the game close its Online services a while ago)
I like how Ifrit was still holding onto the hellfire against Typhon just like Goku vs Frieza. Must've been a small reference, no? Typhon forgot/didn't realise there was a massive ball of energy above his head.
Seeing these comparisons just shows how insane FF16 is
Man the Garuda ost in FF16 is so good
Necesito jugar Final Fantasy 15 de nuevo, me encanta 😍💞
Who would win, a Titanic, World-Burning, Dragonic Eikon or a Duck with a staff.
Yea all the summons look incredible in 16 but Odin didn't get enough love 😢 ... Also, no cactuar or tonberry, but possible dlc stuff 🤷♂️
Leviathan
Alexander :/
You fight all of them plus more in FF14. The design concept is already there with the team. I have a strong feeling they'll add King Moggle Mog if they do DLC for FF16.
Imo XVI Odin was the best one definitely better than XVI Bahamut wich was horrible
A me è piaciuto di più final Fantasy XV...del XVI
man you should include Louisoix Pierce Bahamut in ff14
its literally same scene how Clive and Joshua Pierce Bahamut
still mad the garuda summon in xv was like the only one you would summon mostly after doing the mission
Ya I figured out it’s because she can be summoned once per day so it will spawn her always smh
Honestly, I’d say 15’s Ramuh and Shiva are superior. I’ll leave out Leviathan until they show it in a dlc.
I definitely prefer 15 Ramuh's design, especially the ixion staff, as a nod to 10. Ff15 Ramuh was also the most faithful in terms of helping the party.
I’d say ramuh yeah I like the beard more but shiva doesn’t have the look of a shiva it looks kind of like a pixie in 15 also the multiple shivas make her look even smaller and more pixie like something more acute to magus sisters also she looks more skimpy than majestic but of course all this is subjective
I don’t think any design in 15 look as good as they do in 16. Which is fine, 16 is a summon focused game. And it knocks all other summons in the series completely out
@@rebirthofgodrics907that’s shiva after she died or w/e so I guess she’s weaker. Her real body is so big you can see it on the niflheim map. Her real height is like 200 ft tall.
Hard disagree on Shiva, 16 looks way better
15 Looked good for it's time but the next gen leap is so gorgeous. Cannot wait to see what's in store for the next for FF17...I have a feeling it's an MMO......and I'm okay with that.
Im ok with another mmo but they should wait until FF19 or something cause 14 is still rocking it
The next one will be crazy. As the PS5 pro or PS6 will be out by time they actually develop it.
What? No it won't?
Me who only have played 15 and 16.. idk what the veterans are angry about 😮😮😮
I personally ain't mad but start from the beninging (misspelled on purpose) and you'll probably end up liking some of the past iterations of the summons/eikons (design wise) a bit better, emphasis on "some" cuz if you're a Garuda fan then you WILL NOT like what she used to be in the old games lol but in the case of the other ones alot of the times they did look alot better and their attacks were often times WAAAAAY more flashy then they have been in the newer games.
Me who has played from the first game’s release-me either
Bros be mad that 16 isn’t some fictional mashup of the previous games that doesn’t actually exist.
@@javieracevedo2362 heard the old ff's are pure turn based.. nah fam im not patient enough for turn based no offense tho
@@dan4455 not saying to play them...
@javieracevedo2362 not really the case for me, still like newer ff games more. past games hasnt really aged well except for story and music.
I did not know there is a Garuda summon in 15 whoa
It was added after the XIV crossover. It looks pretty cool, just unfortunate that it was side content.
@@gateauxq4604 yeah I was surprised. I thought there was content I missed before lol
Yea you get the summon after fighting the FFXIV version of Garuda as a boss.
I mean, 16 aren't summons, they are straight up boss fights. So there isnt much comparing to do.
Yeah FF16 version is far better especially with Titan and Bahamut.
Shiva and ifrit in final fantasy 15 are good looking and in final fantasy 16 they look wild
the AOT punch in garuda fight still gets me every time
Ngl, the summons in FFXV always felt so… underused.
This makes me want to get the remastered FF15
Have you checked put FFXV Royal Edition? I heard it solves the problems of the normal one
In 15 i feel that i summoned Ramuh 90% of the time
Since when did noctis fight Garuda? I never saw that fight. Come to think of it i barely saw any of the summons in 15. And when i did it was always Ramah.
Garuda fight and summon in 15 are from a special side quest crossover with FF14, you meet a Miqo'te and she asks you to stop the summoning of FF14's Garuda, as reward you get FF14's cotumes for all the characters based on the playable races of FF14.
Honestly Ramuh looks way cooler in XV
13:36 blue eyes white dragon, destruction burst stream
Garuda vs Ifrit in ffxvin more like, Attac Titan vs Female Titan
That's exactly what I was thinking when I first saw this fight. Glad someone else see it the same way as me.
Garuda in FF16 is a total babe. I said it. And I mean it lol
Same
Everyone in the comments just so casually glancing over the fact that Bahamut has zettaflare now meaning Donald from kingdom hearts has been dethroned as the only zettaflare user lol.
Personally don't like the look of ff16's Bahamut but that use of zettaflare has won my heart, he is now one of the coolest iterations of the character ever
The only thing done better in 15 was garudas design I think that design is really nice other than that 16 has the best design when I first started playing it was hard for me to choose a favorite ekion they're all so cool bahumat and odin are probably my favorite now
@@rushpatriot2866 Odin is the coolest by far for me. Incredibly epic, all of them are extremely cool, they knocked them out of the park
The designs in 16 look so good
only like 15 shiva
the rest one i prefer 16
Same. 16 Shiva is too "adorable" for me lol
The FF16 Eikons literally just feel like incarnated gods of nature. The 14 ones feel like Persona summons.
FF16 really really outclass 15.

Bruh FF16 shiva is best shiva 💯 facts.

FF16 Ramuh = Gandalf
Hey if Cid wants to be Gandalf he can be Gandalf.
I will still love how ff15 summon are god deux ex machina. But nothing comes close in the serie to what they did to them with ff16. After all those years our beloved summon needed this games. Can futur entry can even top that ?
How the hell do you summon shiva in XV?
The summons in xv are situation based. Shiva needs one or more party members to be downed.
@@nightfears3005 so definitely not a plausible outcome with a team of level 90s.
For the love of god, please Square Enix , release it on PC!!!

FFXV bahamut looks like Odin like why didn't they just name it with that?
I'd also compare it to Alexander or even a Dragoon Knight.
16 Shiva looks so hot bro I cannot take it
Bahamut XV is actually great design wise. IF it was a different character lol. Bahamut was a dragon or humanoid dragon, not this guy who looked like it came from the edgy convention and won the competition there.
I thought the armor was like based off of old warriors of light kinda stuff but aight
There is a story reason for that on Dawn of the Future
XV Bahamut actually looks exactly like Noctis and similar to Somnus (Ardyn's brother) and they're apparently that way by design of Bahamut and the dude is so in love with himself that this is possibly the reason he chose Somnus instead of Ardyn and quite possibly one of the if no the main reason he made the other suffer so much and actively tried to deny him as the true king
@@Force-Multiplier Dawn of the Future is really just badly written fanfic for Ardyn fans and purists. The amount of salt and seething I saw beacuse Bahamut was displayed as not evil was something.
@@carlosoliveira2965 idk honestly in paper it can sound one way but it all ultimately depends on the full context and how the actors give life to the scenes
if it had been added to the game i would have definitely have had an opinion on the matter but i can't really judge on Dawn of the Future alone
also keep in mind that Bahamut doing Ardyn dirty like that just for spite is not the whole story there is also the fact that he was extremely infected by the Plasmodium Malariae at that point too but the man sure seems to love himself lol
Man, I beat FF15 and I don’t remember a single thing about that story other than the beginning and ending scenes.
I guess people forget the summons from ff7 crisis core 😢 how epic they were.
why have i only ever seen the Ramuh summon in ffxv? are the summons special side quests?
Shiva appears in indoor and outdoor areas and she's more likely to appear if you're in danger, the fight is taking long and/or your allies are downed(kinda common)
Carbuncle only gets unlocked if you played the platinum demo and he only appears on easy mode, idk how easy it is to summon, since I played the demo on a friend's console and Square Enix removed the demo for some stupid reason 1 year later.
i feel like Bahamut 16 is trying to create the FOURTH impact in valisthea
C'mon Square. Remake or reboot that Xenogears and bring those mecha battle to latest gen game.
In Final Fantasy 15, I was only ever able to summon Ramuh.
14:45 -15:02
Ah yes, the Strike Freedom, piloted by Donald Duck…
15’s Ifrit being a twink was the weirdest thing they could possibly have done 😂
Ifrit in 16 is literally driven by plot armor, taking down everyone like that. 😂
I don't really get the point of comparing these two games ? FFXV summons are assets that can be used in any battle while FFXVI summons are only scripted cinematic boss fights.
Of course, we expect a lot more from a scripted cinematic fight than a cinematic usable in any battle
Its just comparing the presentation of the summons in each game, its not deep.
Graphical improvements.
Designwise, 15 has a better looking Ramuh.
