I love how they made the clock tower boss more aggressive in the remake and made his hands half revealed in order to make it an equal challenge for both painting and thinning.
Plus, seeing the arms halfway thinned helps give the incentive to players that they can paint the arms (since that was something many people didn’t realize they can do in the original since there was no clear indication that you could paint the already painted arms)
Apparently for the clock tower boss fight the music was gonna have the lyrics to “It’s a Small World”. This was cut and most people believe it was because of copyright issues but other people suggest that it was cut due to it potentially being too disturbing. There’s also another theory where it was cut because the Wii console couldn’t handle all of that which is the one I believe is most likely true.
The Petetronic fight is actually easier in the Wii version because you can stay on the platform without consequence vs. Rebrushed the thinner will stay on the platform forcing you to constantly move
3:44 I cannot tell you how satisfied I was to hear that last part. Like I don’t usually play video games much so beating one of my first bosses in my entire period of existing was just so amazing for me!
The remaster definitely has some slight differences. Even with the Clocktower. There's a resting point before facing it. But in the original there isn't. I wonder why.
Most likely it was to make it more like all the other bosses , who all (apart from the mad doctor) have a rest period in the form of having to walk to the areana
@speedylitsonic7347 That's the most likely. There was apparently (according to an old game infomer article) a cut mini boss with small pete before clock tower. So it seems they just wanted the clocktower to be a shocking appearance originally (which explains the lack of pre boss banter )
Probably did this due to aiming. On Wii you can easily control on where to point the brush. On PC it's harder to aim for the little things. As moving your mouse slightly will cause your cursor to move further than intended.
There are some SMALL details here and there within the remake that are a bit janky compared to the original.... but otherwise, it's an amazing remake overall! The updated visuals and refined game mechanics are absolute eye candy and really bring the original vision for this game to life!

7:02 I also love the new effect they added to Petetronic's voice in the remake!

And the fact that they made the Shadow Blot a bit more of a challenge by giving him a Thinner laser beam!
You need to go back and refresh yourself on the original. Neither was ever a particularly easy feat.

Btw the clock tower has got to be my favorite boss fight in the game! 😁
The clock tower gives me nightmares in the game and in real life
The remake has better graphics and quality than the original. So i say both the original and the remake are both great.
I’m glad I finally found a video doing a comparison like this all the other ones unfortunately do a split screen and it always bothers me
Honestly, I think they gave clock tower more love and attention in the remake lol, the most Jurassic change out of all the bosses
it was smart of them to adjust the clocktowers hands like they did, now it's a bit more obvious you can paint them

True

I also got it first try! 👍

@@maverickdarkrath4780 Probably. Maybe they didn’t have enough time for the Clocktower’s one in the original game, or it got lost.

@@maverickdarkrath4780 and guess what made it into rebrushed
The Original have better animation but not good quality.
The Remake sometimes not satisfying animation but good to see it returns and good quality.
im a fan of rebrushed but i wish they kept the old sound fx and didnt have that large circle for the brush🤷

@@nickdotson6756 I get that but i feel like it could've been a setting😭
16:51 This Pete Pan vs Captain Hook fight is missing some voice clips.
Considering the cutscenes still don’t have voice acting it’s prob just for consistency

The remake has both better graphics and gameplay than the original, but the original has a better *art direction* , in my opinion
Just curious. When the 8 wheels (or whatever they are) come at you- 4 from each side- how do you avoid them without falling into the thinner?
jumping
The remake gives me crash bandicoot 4 vibes
Is it just me or The clock tower In The remake feels bigger or did they just move the platform you fight on and make his arms longer.
I love the graphics of the remake, but far and away prefer the sound design and UI of the original
Why’d you leave out the Mad Doc fight?
And the Slobber.
@@DemetriusWilliams-oe6nr The Slobber's a miniboss fight.
@@Inferno65 I know dude.
@@Inferno65 I know dude but he’s still a boss.
@@DemetriusWilliams-oe6nr No he's not. He's a _Miniboss_
the clock tower looks sharper on in the wii version. they smoothed out the texture too much in the remake
I generally paid little attention to the franchise since the cancellation. The last thing I wanted was to be reminded of the cancellation.
Hola. I’m back? Or something
Where’s the mad Doctor at 😡 😠
You forgot the Slobber and Mad Doctor.🤦🏽
