Props to the fight commentator! (especially during the "Jordan vs. Cheesecake" fight.) I feel like everybody forgets a bot's weapons at least once, especially considering the amount of tinkering that occurs between events. 😆
Yeah, I've tried to put more commentary over some of the boring parts of my later matches. Realistically I should just fast forward through some of them, haha.
Honor for myself and my ancestors. Oh, and sometimes a moderate gift card to one of the online stores that sells robot parts. Doesn't quite cover the total destruction bill, but it's nice.
Well, I'd start by thinking about what kind of robot you'd like to drive and fight with. It could have a spinning weapon, it could have a lifter or flipper arm, or it could just be a beefy wedge bot that tanks hits and pushes opponents around. Once you've decided roughly what type of robot you want, you can think about more specific desired features like how well it might drive or how much damage it might be able to do. Once you have a good idea of what the robot would look like, you can buy parts from vendors like Fingertech, ITgresa, or Palm Beach Bots, and design your robot around those parts (motors, batteries, etc.)
"I stand corrected... said the man that got orthopedic shoes" lol.

Cheesecake's record (as of video)
7(6)-2(2)
Could've let the kid hit you a couple times, let him think he's winning, not "Sorry kid, one speed, DEATH!".
So we're dealing with a miniature depth charge
then you get into a pushing contest, you mostly do that for drive control and aggression points right?
Yep, it shows that you're still initiating the interactions with your opponent, and that your robot is driving better than your opponent.
Whatever your paying that commentator it’s not enough.
for some of these matches just play ballroom music

@@alexsalchemy I was mainly making a joke about the movement just spinning around eachother.
@@boneshakerjake Well you're more right than you think, haha.
