  • Capture in-camera multiple exposures with this guide on how to set up the Nikon Z7 to use its multiple and double exposure feature. We'll also look at how we can create a multiple exposure using post-processing software, such as GIMP.
Note: The settings data for each image in the video was taken from the last exposure in each series used to create the multiple exposure image.

Enjoyed the video Robert, very informative and great if not on camera to use Gimp. I have Lightroom etc but do use gimp from time to time. But I also have a Nikon so no problem. The camera dog was top quality and even managed a roll but you can’t do that, well done Otis. 🐕

Yeah, GIMP is very good considering it's free. Can't do everything Photoshop does, but perfectly capable at blending layers like this. Otis did do a great job - actually got some footage while he was doing a roll! 😂

Great video Robert. I've always wanted to try this in camera but I don't think I have that option on my Sony A7R3. Looks like a fun thing to try! Some really fun images here's especially the one of Otis! x 3! Great tutorial mate, really enjoyed it! Have a great week over there!

Cheers Paul. Yeah, same as ICM etc - fun to do if you want a change. Saw your latest vid is out, so looking forward to getting some time for that. You've been posting some bangers on Instagram lately. Thanks for watching mate. 😊

Wish Nikon would add Live Composite mode to their Z cameras! Are you listening Nikon?

Interesting video Robert, I'll have to check to see if any of my cameras have this feature to do this in camera.

Yeah, worth checking out Andrew. Can be a fun change on those days when feeling uninspired. I need to check if any of my film cameras allow it. Cheers for watching. 😊

haha great minds and all that....not kidding, I recorded this exact same video about a month ago - well of course not 'exactly' but in terms of the info, even the blend mode post process bit at the end. I've not had time to put together yet, but I will at some point, I promise I'm not just copying haha

Haha - maybe we've both been getting the same subconscious cues! I look forward to seeing your angle on it then - and also from the Cannon perspective. Thanks for watching mate. 😊

It’s definitely a fun wee feature. I’ve used this on my D7000 a few times for fun but it definitely makes you think on what images to take for the final image. Ya got some great shoots. I’ve used PhotoPea in the past. It’s got a layout very similar to PS.

Cheers Paul. Not heard of PhotoPea but I'll check it out. Thanks for watching mate, hope you're good. 😊

Hello Otis!! You also have Otis...don't forget! lol Just like mine, run, sniff, and the occasional, well, maybe more than I fancy, a pee. lol Used to hate it when I would forget to advance the film and get a double-exposure. I don't think my camera will allow for it. On to the next shot, dad!! Those are pretty cool! Great stuff! Bruce and Otis

Otis loved it Bruce - slept solid from when we got home until 8 the next morning! Trying this with film is something I want to give a go, so need to see if my cameras can do it. Thanks for watching. 😊

does the z7 allow you to combine in camera from the SD saved images, or is it only a matter of shooting shot to shot. The Ricoh GRii allows both I think.

No, I don't think so. You can select the first exposure from the memory card, and this will be blended with the subsequent shots you capture. I don't think you can choose all the shots from the memory card though.

just a question , can you combine b&w and colour ?

    • @Robert-Bishop
      @Robert-Bishop  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

You can, yes. You just have to go into the menu and change the picture control in-between shots. 😊
