I want one! Love Midwest Military Equipment MO. I was so resigned to M35A2, with a stick shift and fussy engine, these and M1078 are leaps ahead. I'd love to put a camper in the box, go anywhere.
You should take that rig on Trooper Tyree's October 2022 Great Smoky Mountains Convoy. See HISTORY in MOTION magazine 'Events' listing of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association.
Lookin good, Midwest does good work, The Hood is easy to open ,If you want I can show how I open my M923A1 Hood safely. You list 1988 and 1993 on this truck? The US govt switched in the 1990s from the 11/20 inch dual rear wheels to the Super single you have and there is a High roll over rate, The ABS system helps some. Good luck from Texas
The M923A2 actually was debuted in 1987 and discontinued in 1994 under BMY Division of Harsco. All A2's had 48/1400×20's but A1's did as well. The difference between variants is CTIS,wheel guards, and tread pattern. The original M939 series all had G177's or G172's which are 42/1100×20's.
Good looking truck. Dig that crane! Did you say "Four Wheel Drive"? These trucks are always in 4-wheel drive as both rear axles are continuously engaged. When you throw the dash lever the front axle is engaged (as you correctly point out) which puts you into 6-Wheel drive :) Pretty sure you know that and it was simply a malapropism during filming. Only clarifying for the benefit of those who enjoy your video.

fredboat it’s an 88. When I did the video I based it on the warranty plaque as I didn’t have the title in front of me.
