Long have we waited for the James Acaster series! Also to my fellow US fans don’t forget Series 8 is airing this Sunday on CW. So if you’re worried about remembering another new 5 contestants, you’re gonna have to remember another new 5 this weekend hahaha
Casey Martin honestly? I’m not sure. Outside the US/Canada will _probably_ see them? from what i can tell they just sold the rights for broadcast in the US. So I would say don’t worry about it if you aren’t in North America. But if you are a yank, i guess it depends on if CW is planning on keeping series 8 and 9 for streaming themselves. I’m honestly just planning on waiting for 10 weeks and seeing what the situation is lol. Either it works itself out or we’ll find a way around it
@@Jayk-kz7sh a way around it we shall find! I am in North America, we just don't do t.v. or anything. We just have movies. But finding this series gives the whole week a lighter side of things. Especially now during all the times of dreary news and sad situations watching TM warms my heart. Thanks for the response! I truly do love the community TM has brought and that people actually read the comments on here. 😳
Casey Martin glad to be of service! I share many of the same sentiments as you. I got into the show during a hard time at college and it’s been really helpful both then and now to just have something funny and light hearted to look forward every week. Even if taskmaster uploads are a bit up in the air in North America, there’s still a ton of British panel shows that still get uploaded to TH-cam. Cats does Countdown is great to see comedians fail at math and spelling (Alex shows up on occasion with his band the Horne Section to do their stand up material) Big fat quiz is always fun to see them play a pub quiz for 2 hours. I think russell Howard has a ton of full episodes of his show uploaded to his channel too. Overall I’m not gonna stress too much over it all, there’s still plenty of content. And as I said before, not even broadcast right ownership will stop us from watching our shows. We always find a way haha
Thanks for still posting this guys- a small part of me was worried that you wouldn’t what with a few seasons going to television, and I didn’t want to miss this one.
The rules specifically said a "complete" box -- when is a box "complete" when you are packing and moving? When it is taped, shut, closed! When you think of a "box" shape do you think of a cube with four flaps up? Alex even mimed closing all sides, top and bottom, when repeating the instructions. Phil got screwed there 😤.
Complete box and complete moving box are two separate things. Also, a moving box wouldn't be complete if it was empty and taped shut! I don't really have a strong stance, I just want to fight over cardboard box towers.
They are NOT packing and moving, so using the meaning of a complete box from that context is a very silly thing to suggest. If I asked Jessica to make me up a box, and she came back with one that was taped shut, with nothing inside, I would fire her from the box-making job.

Unless you've had some warm milk and heroin, you are not prepared for the utter ridiculousness that is Rhod Gilbert in this series.
What if I only have warm heroin?
We had bob mortimer himself, king of chaos
@@SonaraRuna Ill-advised: not strong enough.
@@rafael_lana we have, but Rhod might legitimately be unhinged. Wait until he gets Alex half-naked, bent over a grotto, arse poking skywards, and tell me I'm wrong.
Rhod is absolutely batshit crazy
i know everyone’s like “oh james acaster” but i got into this through rhod gilbert and i’m SO EXCITED
Cannot wait to see Johnny Vegas in the new series. He’s going to be the perfect blend of creative, clever, and FURIOUS
I got into this through Taskmaster
Oh come on. Rhod was robbed on those bake beans, not since Joe Wilkinson
have I seen such injustice!!!
Even a novice in baked bean circumference measurements would know you need to calculate the mean bean.
Rubbish. Who goes in with a sample size of one bean? (And that potato would've been all rim, anyway.)
Surely you meant injuicetice.
James having to do the final task by himself whilst everyone else pairs up is so heartbreaking 😂
Well he's certainly qualified being a superhero.
12:58 the production crew's reaction to Rhod's "quick change" is delightful 😀
I forgot how PACKED is this first episode, chock-full of great moments.
11:49 "I wasn't thinking that"
"Ah well you should start thingking that"
Rhod and Greg being friends makes series 7 soooooo good.
Greg is good friends with both Rhod Gilbert and Roisin Conaty - and when they're on taskmaster it adds a little something to the show.
You can tell there is heaps of stories and shenanigans from a long history together.
Love it
The mouse from Roisin was one of fave gift tasks.
@@MrDodgerdodson yeah but Roisin was godawful (in a way I can only describe as putrid) whereas Rhod is actually entertaining
@@SpingotGoomer YES! I loathed her on TM, almost made me stop watching the very first series and I will NEVER forgive her for that!
@@ptitqui RIP Greg
I knew this group was going to be my favorite (still is after 13 seasons) when the final task ended with "GET OUT OF MY FRUIT ACASTER!!!"
I forgot that was Rhod’s first filmed task. What a man
I love that this show has introduced me to SO MANY UK comedians I didn't know I adored
This is the first time I've fallen in love with a cast on the first episode of the series
The moment at 31:27 when Phil's Wang is perfectly lined up with the can is something I can never unsee and is an image that will haunt me until I die.
Aaand there's my new desktop wallpaper
"i know its early days, but are we the stupidest people you've had on?" im WHEEZING
My favorite series. Phil Wang's "quick" change still has me cackling on every rewatch. 🤣
Long have we waited for the James Acaster series! Also to my fellow US fans don’t forget Series 8 is airing this Sunday on CW. So if you’re worried about remembering another new 5 contestants, you’re gonna have to remember another new 5 this weekend hahaha
Jayk1406 i am READY to hurt my brain
Do you know if they are going to put that series on the tube as well?
We always find a way haha
i get so attached and comfortable to the comedians in every season that i feel so weird when i start a new season
So glad we are getting some James Acaster episodes!
I was hooked on him in this series from his first dead-eyed line... "MC Hammer".
It seemed so far away when they started uploading episodes, and now it's here!
I like his angry ranting about the forest
Kerry in this series is 50/50 sweet innocent middle-aged mother/ruthlessly efficient contracting builder
More like 20/80 in favor of the builder
"Ooooooh, the old 'different way' method!" had me absolutely dead from laughter
Thanks for still posting this guys- a small part of me was worried that you wouldn’t what with a few seasons going to television, and I didn’t want to miss this one.
this show is literally perfect for james' antics lmao
Taskmaster absolutely killing it with their upload schedule. Thank you so much for making this show available in the US, it's my favorite thing on TV.
These comedians are fantastic. They know exactly how to play off one another. Why aren't there more shows like this?
I love when everyone else is laughing and you just see James is just sitting there in distain
12:57 The crew guy can't even look up, Alex's magnificence is too blinding
So Rhod is taking forward the legacy of "that one crackhead contestant".
oh i think all of them are doing that in their own ways
"that one crackhead" aint got nothing on Rhod.
37:50 James Acaster, "It is such a bad omen that Rhod is the smart one."
The way rhod watches alex walk up the stairs without any pants, kills me every time
Jessica Knappett is the pinnacle of chaos, which is perfect for this show
I love James Acaster. Very excited for this season, didn’t realize he was in it.
I love this show. And Jessica Knappett's quick-change was majestic.
Rhod, Phil, and James are all extremely quick witted 😂 its so amazing watching them together.
Idk, Phil is obviously smart, but also painfully unfunny.
Alex is more dedicated to this show than most people are to their lives I swear. 😂
