Bridget Chistie, when her agent called her and said the word Taskmaster, decided immediately to spend every available moment that followed in pursuit of burning down one particular man on national television.
She is probably the only thing that has caused him more mental damage than his experience with the cake in the shed. At times she made me feal genuinly sorry for him, while still laughing wildly
She has a long history of knowing greg, so I'm going to assume she wanted to go into this genuinely annoying Alex. It's unique and no contestant actually managed it before on this level. And she managed to do so while remaining incredibly funny and entertaining. I feel like it was absolutely on purpose

After seeing Alex be genuinely abused and humiliated with a straight face in some series it really hammers home how much she is specifically managing to get under his skin in this. It's impressive in a horrifying sort of way.
One great thing about being an American watching this show is we have no context for anything these (we assume) successful people have done. So, they are just like an array of kooky characters to us.

Never forget that in the phone-finder task, Bridget Christie was the only person who thought to get a bag for carrying her cuddly toys, and to satisfy the noisemaking requirement with something besides her voice.
And still came last… the bag was indeed a good call, making the noises wasn’t at all. Your brain cancels out your voice much more than noises made and that also required her to use both hands.
When Bridget came along, it felt like Alex was getting a taste of his own weird medicine. How Bridget made him feel is how he’s made many previous contestants feel: confused and annoyed 😝
She was genuinely useless at everything she attempted to the point of making the show creator visibly regret ever inviting her to the show. I wouldn't call that an amazing dynamic so much so as the most impressive performance of all time by Alex not to go off his head at her lunacy.

If there will ever be a Taskmaster All-Stars, she needs to get an invitation.

Bridget Christie is the kind of beautiful absurdity that Russell Brand always wanted to be but couldn't authentically achieve, and that's that on that.
Their dynamic reminds me a lot of how I interact with one of my close friends. I'll be in the middle of an anecdote and she either pauses me in the middle with complete confusion or runs in the complete opposite direction with a loose thread on it. She's extremely clever and sees angles I could never get but completely fumbles on grasping certain ideas or understanding motives outside her own. I feel like Alex, both flustered and annoyed at times from not being understood or listened too, but also completely enthralled and in awe of witnessing a complete deviation from my perspective. I'd love to see these two in a road trip indie comedy.

Bridgette was the craziest contestant ever. The task to get the highest number on the pedometer... i cant imagine another person in humanity to do what she did and mince about as she did. I literally have no understanding of what she was thinking 😂
You have to have a sharp mind to really have any sort of career in British comedy. I'd say she's a tad away with the fairies/absent-minded/confused in her everyday life and is really playing up that persona
It was so good watching this season as i have never seen someone get to Alex as much as she clearly did, every second Alex is around her you can see him desperately trying to cling to inner peace :') Also, i dunno if it was an act or if Bridget is really like that, but man, she did so spectacularly awful at every task! Like she was in a league of her own! Though the highlight was definitely the whole walking/dancing thing, like just firstly, she never walked normally and i have no idea how she ended up deciding on that constituting walking? :') But then when they put it with the song and her dancing matched the walking, i was in tears :')

TH-cam keeps suggesting this to me again, and it knows that I find bridget just hysterical. She had such moment of clarity when all the other contestants were absolutely absurd, but so many of her tasks were so ridiculous. And I love that the whole time she was shockingly positive when Greg judged her poorly, and that positivity set her out so well.

Bridget is the first contestant that I feel like Alex genuinely disliked. In thirteen series of the show, no other contestant made him legitimately lose his cool, and she did it more than once.
I think that’s harsh. I think he found her infuriating because it’s the furthest away from how he’d like to see the task done. He also clearly thinks she’s really funny so I wouldn’t say he dislikes *her* just how she performed.
Folks: keep in mind that Bridget was member of a biker-gang as a teenager, and once they were going to some event and got the brilliant idea to give her the task of keeping the keys to their rented house. Keep this in mind, while watching this madness!

I think that’s harsh. I think he found her infuriating because it’s the furthest away from how he’d like to see the task done. He also clearly thinks she’s really funny so I wouldn’t say he dislikes *her* just how she performed.

maybe not dislike but he can't deal with her being so obstructive and yet being a fully grown mentally sound adult. (well, we assume that, anyway)
Folks: keep in mind that Bridget was member of a biker-gang as a teenager, and once they were going to some event and got the brilliant idea to give her the task of keeping the keys to their rented house. Keep this in mind, while watching this madness!

This was at least slightly amusing - in fact, I'd go as far to say this was very competent, well paced, & very pleasant to watch _(essentially the opposite of my experience watching Bridget's full interview)_
