I used to play my N64 on an old B&W tv that only had antenna hookups. What I had to do was, first get an antenna to coax adapter. Then I hooked up a VCR to the tv. Then I hooked the N64 to the VCR.

Wait... Red, white and another red component cable? Why not a yellow? I've NEVER seen a RWR format, much less a separate Red-only cable. Is this necessary? Or will a RWY format work?
This is composite not component, so all colors channels are sent over the same cable. Also, the color of the cable doesn't matter, all three are the same, Just make sure that they yellow port on the device uses the same cable as the yellow port on your display, same with white, and red. You could use three red cables, and it would work just fine.

Depends on how the TV chooses to handle it. It could either compress, and squash the 16:9 aspect ratio to fill the entire 4:3 screen. It could also display 16:9 in letter box format, with black bars on the top and bottom Or it could also display “like normal” but you get the sides of the 16:9 aspect ratio source chopped off, leaving you with just the 4:3 section of the middle

Yeah. I think you should switch to Windows if there are many games you want to play that aren't available on Mac. If it is only 1 game you want to play, you probably shouldn't. I have a iMac and I would much rather prefer using a Windows for gaming.

Well.... Also CRT tvs have literally zero lag as opposed to a flat screen and some folks enjoy what a crt can do that modern tvs just can't. Just saying.
Playing on a CRT TV has a lot of benefits over playing on a modern TV it has nothing to do with being poor. The picture quality on a really good CRT TV can still compete with some of the best flat screens made and no latency the picture is displayed at the speed of light there's no processing there's just a kind of "gun" firing electrons at the backside of the actual screen. The only downsides to them is that they were really bulky and there was a limit to how big you could make a CRT screen.
I Bought this a hdmi2av adapter for connecting ps4 to an old 32 TV But I have an awful resolution (on old TV and even on the new 49 TV) Should I do something? can I improve the resolution???
Sadly you can't Standard AV cables are limited to 480p, if you want higher you'll need hdmi or component. But you can try adjusting your PS4's output down to 480p to cut down on the downscaling.

+k1ller bee17 oh yes it worked perfectly, lost of trouble with a jumping screen for 3 hours straight but after one night of leaving the converter plugged in it actually worked but only after leaving the setting on pal. The resolution is not good so I'm buying a hdtv within a couple of weeks. But if you're broke it's very good in the interim!

What's the resolutions for that tv, also I bet you lag playing games online, no way does that old tv keep up with the frames of a newer tv.
