I just wish I had the spot welder and TIG when I rebuild my frogeyed sprite in the early 70's! Just admiring your skills growing in another area ready for the Porche which will be the real deal.
Hello ! 1950s our dust cart had a trailer on the back to collect '' Salvage'' like cardboard , paper , prams etc ! Well one day I 'salvaged ' a lovely red pedal car from it that gave me & my mates so much fun for a long time until one day it broke ! Next time dust cart came around I lobbed the car back in its trailer ! Waste-not -want -not ! Love your videos! Thank you !

I must be honest and say that I haven't found the pedal car particularly interesting but this was definitely the best episode of the series. Roll on the 356!

Great series of videos that are a real help.I've got a spot welder that's different,instead of tongs its separate cables and on the end you have a handle with a short contact so it allows you to get in anywhere.Its called porta-spot made here in Canada by a company called Controlled Systems.

And the car is reborn. Now you need to go to the factory to see how they do it there. Presumably they have special spot weld jaws.
Smaller they are more fiddly they are yeh. Grand job so far.

I actually finish work an hour early so I can watch Doms vids as they drop, it gives me an immense feeling of wellbeing when I realise John is in the workshop, they both work off each other so brilliantly. Crack on and get this car finished so we can get to the aero car.
Just love the little pedal car. I'm sure that if you had had time to make some custom electrodes for the spot welder you could have overcome most of the access issues, but when you are only doing the job once it's difficult to justify the time and expense - copper rod isn't cheap these days. Best wishes and good luck with the new book.
