And fittingly they're Same tractors, of which most Lamborghinis in the past 30-40 odd years have been rebrands of 😄 So in a way, red Lamborghinis, if you will.

Yes and the Same (pronounced 'Sammy') tractors in the shed ended up amalgamated with the Lamborghini tractor side of the firm, Amazing air cooled tractors way ahead of their time in the 70s & 80s

      Lambo needs to
Hire Porsche engineers and again become as fast as they look. All you're buying today is looks and I like the old Countach's looks better than current Lambo. They should have taken the Countach and perfected it like Porsche did the 911.. Lambo failed

Road & Track had one for an early morning run from LA to Phoenix in early 1975. "It is the first sports car I've driven that brought older ladies out of campers to look it over while parked at a coffee shop." June 1975 issue by Thos L. Bryant.

seeing the two cars together, really highlights the countless differences between the two cars
The 87 is iconic, timeless Countach - but the 74 has that purity and style 'of-the-day' and still looks absolutely 'alien' to this day ! . . . . must have blown their minds 50yrs ago

Brings back memories of my first trip to the factory, a lovely lady in reception let my son and me join a tour with a group of visitors, free, in early 2000’s, before Audi had changed things, 5 years later they wanted €30 each for a tour, good museum with cars and engines on display, we went and found Pagani small factory unit on a small industrial park, the Zonda C12 was in production, again a free tour for the both of us, I always remember seeing 5 AMG V12’s wrapped in plastic in the very small factory, I think two cars on the go, and a grand piano in the reception, great memories, enjoyed this, we had sun 😊.

I have never liked the way more modern Lamborghinis look, but seeing how they relate to their history, from Harry’s Countach to the Revuelto - it just makes sense. I can appreciate the more modern cars better aesthetically now I think. Goofy but true.

Agree. However, it's a pity that a typical person can't comfortably 'fit in it'. I have also sampled a Miura 400S (not driven it) and it was 'tight' and also a serious challenge with respect to ergonomics. Neeless to say the Miura is beautiful and I would gladly own one if my personal 'economics' allowed it.

Great video Harry. I was lucky enough to help organise a factory tour in the late 90's, as I worked for their paint supplier at the time. Lambo were very accommodated and took us through every single stage of the Diablo production. A wonderful, very memorable day. One of the highlights for me was at the end of the tour, when outside in the Italian sun, hearing the test drivers driving towards and driving in to the facility. Unforgettable! We also had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. Still have my Lambo shirt and cap bought from the on site shop. The Lambo salesman/tour guide even gave me his gold raging bull button hole badge. Wear it today. Tried getting a factory tour from Ferrari as we also supplied them but they were not interested. Lambo found out and gave us the ''works'. Fortunately their rivalry is still with us today. Thanks Harry. Ps. Your Lambo looked wonderful at FOS 2024.

Sept 1974…. That Countach must have looked like a spaceship when the public saw that LP400 for the first time. I know that when I saw what is effectively Harry’s car, I was smitten and was taken in hook, line and sinker. The LP500 has proportions that are just so beautiful. In any case Harry, wonderful video. Nowadays, I’m a newly minted owner of a ‘23 G82 M4, which has more power and torque than a Countach. While it is like comparing apples to oranges, perhaps the only commonality is the speed and handling among the basic term of a GT car. Thanks Harry. Terrific video. Keep on keepin’ on!

And I was sceptical of Audi taking over back in the day but glad to see that it hasn't been at all interfering with the products. Lambo's today feel very much like Lambo's of yesteryear and that is a very good thing indeed.

Seeing and contrasting the two cars side by side -- fascinating. Thanks Harry!

Some fabulous footage and photos from the old factory, plus amazing to see the lineup of Miura, Espada 400GT. All one's childhood dream cars!
Don't think people look at cars the same these days...

That LP400 still looks absolutely stunning today so just imagine it's impact in 1974! It's testament to how ground breaking the original LP400 was that the new cars look so similar in overall design, just better built, tweaked and beefed up in the right areas to handle the huge performance increase.
Seeing this made me dig out one of my favourite old car magazines. A February 1977 edition of Car which featured an article entitled "Convoy" where a Countach LP400, a Urraco P300 and the, then new, Siluouette were driven from the factory back to the UK. Total value of those cars then, £52k.😂 I've not read it in quite a while but I've just read it again and still enjoyed it.😀😀
Hybrid drive is one thing but I find it inconceivable that ICE powered cars like this are going to be consigned to history, I certainly hope not. What a road trip this is turning into!👍👍

Saw that very green LP400 at the museum when we were there just a week or so ago, crazy just how low it is and such a simple but elegant shape.
Your QV is still great with such crazy practicalities such as space for humans and the tyre width that was required to not so readily spear off into a hedge. Backwards. Probably on fire.
Looking forward to the Pagani video, their factory was amazing. The stuff in the assembly room was just jaw dropping especially though there was a light purple Huayra that made me question whether manufacturers should step in and say, "no" to a customer's request(!)

It's so much more joy to watch these wonderful machines being driven passionately and extendetly than listening to endless speeches about them by some host standing next to them and who maybe in the end takes them on a short ride because they dont want to put too many miles on the car. (Unless Iain Tyrrell gives his exceptional expertise, of course.)

I love the look of the front end on the Revuelto, but man, that hood edge is RIGHT out there. Even a small bump is going to require a new hood. Crazy.

This has been a wonderful trip with the Countach and you. The new models are wonderful but I prefer the older smaller analog models.

What a fabulous look at history. That you've been around for many, many years!
With your Espada and your Countach too.
You need to fix that wiper as well!
    Another awesome watch Harry!
