Hi Rob & Chris, interesting one, what a shame somebody has attacked the boot with a lever, so unnecessary extra damage. Looking forward to this one’s progress guy’s.. Alex.
One thing I love about this channel is the mystery into each vehicle and the little obstacles on the way
That piece of Hair sticking up gets me all the time 😂
Don’t talk about hair Chris is sensitive about it😂
A tip to getting a vehicle off the hauler, that the wheels are locked. Put plastic food tray's, like they have at McDonalds under the tires. It will slide on the ground easier.
We had proper wheel sliders under it 👍 but yes trays wheel trims they all work 👍
@@srukwheel trims can tell you’ve been at it for many years😂top video lads
we had a similar car with a bootlid issue, it cost 3k in parts at the end, the roof had come down on a hard suitcases + slightly bent every rod etc. the owner had broken the boot safety switch, so they jammed a lolly stick in to make the roof work... expensive things those lolly sticks...
keep up the excellent work chaps
Lads - this is the best shot and edited video you've ever done. I've been watching a lot of older videos recently and the quality now compared to earlier is worlds apart. Not that the old ones were bad, but you're getting so much better at structuring and editing now. this series is gonna be a real winner for you. interesting car, interesting process and I think we all know that it's gonna be a big winner!!!!! Bravo lads.
Can’t believe someone tried to pry their way into the boot (I can’t even think of a good reason for doing that). I’ve got a feeling it’s gonna end up as a nice car in the end though
Copart done a number on that boot. They have no respect for the cars. They do so much damage.
Every video, the copart cowboys try to do as much damage as they can. Their motto, leave no airbag un slashed.
Nice motor, looking forward to watching this get repaired lads. Cheers.
Your experience is showing. You no gamble longer , you take calculated risks , and they always pay off ! Well done guys !😊
Looks like a nice car especially when it’s fixed 👌
Lovely car, lovely mileage and not too sore in comparison to many previously. Good luck to you both
Glad to see your over your cold.
You two have a good set of eyes to look for details from the on-line photos to see if a vehicle is fixable by you. A hassle to get into the boot for the fuse but you finally got to it. Should be a nice bit of profit and a bargain for the customer.
A beautiful beautiful car eh Rob, you Stevie Wonder? What we do know, is by the time you and Chris have worked your magic, it will be beautiful
Looks like a good one damage doesn't look to bad shame about the extra damage caused by copart or whoever tried to get in not very professional atal don't touch what you don't know about sorting off thing but you will get it sorted I'm sure
Great video guys this has to be a £30,000 car, i can't wait to see the numbers.
Chris.
looking forward to seeing this one fully repaired , you guys get some bargains , keep up the good work..
Good evening Rob & Chris. Nice seeing a sore bit of salvage on the channel 👍🏻 It’ll be a great fix keep salvage rebuilds fresh 🤩
Makes me laugh when you say a tiny bit of damage it looks destroyed 😮
Going to be interesting how you get that boot lid open. Looks like that front end might be an easy repair for Chris with the legs being missed in the accident. Could be a nice little earner.
Another cracking purchase, Rob, well done. Great progress with the roofing between the containers, Chris, looking forward to seeing the update on that too!
Looks to be a nice car and what a bonus with the mileage! You are right Rob a late car like this can be driven all year round with no fear of leaks. I will look forward to the rebuild. This will make a nice car for someone. Thanks Rob and Chris for another great video. 👍👍
Nice find gents! What a PITA that boot is and can’t believe they tried to crow bar it! I wonder if the car thinks the rear deck panel is in the process of opening the roof, hence stopping the boot switch from releasing? Can’t wait for the next one!
should showed how far dan got with the tin roof
Still got the blue wrap on the sill badges 👌
Nice car, 3-years old and just under 9,000 miles
Numbers will be interesting. Thought the wind deflector looking forward to you stripping it down. Can't believe someone tried to open the boot with a bar.
Location of that Pyro fuse needs looking at by the Manufacturer Need to be able to swap it out Easier than what you guys had to do
Great to hear the engine run and miles on it. Look forward to seeing more
Don't remember the 306 cabriolet having such safety measures!! Hats off to you both taking on what you do!
Definitely didn’t and that’s why in a crash at 70 you’d be dead in one, but you can crash this at 140 and survive (in some instances not into a brick wall ofc😂)
Love what you do - like same challenge thrown down to find various faults, Great video Rob
If you plug your seatbelt in you can drive most automatic cars with the doors open
Not a BMW. It comes to a dead stop and throws on the handbrake, if you drive with the doors open.
@@gingerjacaranda Hi mate, I’m a spray painter/body shop tech and I regularly drive BMWs with no doors on.
Great Video Rob and Chris , yard looking great too Chris and Dan 👍
Amazing how quickly a dismal cr can be turned around, well done! 👍👍👍
You fall in a bucket of muck and come out smelling of engine oil well done to you both. This needs to be a top price sale to cover your illness rob Thanks for giving us your cold crack on be safe
Ye another great video guys liking the bmw and that’s gonna make someone a very tidy car finished can’t wait to see it done great start already fellas!. 👍👍👍
Hi rob and Chris good luck with the wee BMW from marty in Belfast northern Ireland God bless
Well done guys, going to be a cracking car for some lucky person, looking forward to part 2 👍
Stupid question, but did you have a look at the handbook? (For how to open the boot without power).
Well done Rob a convertible is money in the bank anytime of the year 👏👏
An interesting job ahead, but yes, driving and mileage
looking good

Convert it to an ice cream van mate. 😀
well done guy's for getting it mobile so quickly can't wait see the follow up video's👍
Sunday tea time sorted 👌
Looking forward to seeing you guys doing the repairs on this one, unfortunately I’m sure that the bits you need will be expensive, nice post guys
Car looks like it's had its head punched in... Rob any lights 😂
Great video as always both
It just shows you if you have the knowledge and the tools Thea's cars are repairable it shows you the insurance company writes them of where they can be repaired and so this is why we are paying high insurance for are cars etc
Can be repaired of course that’s always been the way they’ve done it nothing has changed in that respect.. what has changed is:
1) hire cars and the amount they charge insurance companies for them eg 28 days at 150 per day = 4200 and I’ve seen them up to 400 a day.
2) parts have gone through the roof and they have to use brand new
3) Labour has gone through the roof so if 10 hours used to be 500 quid it can now be 2k
4) waiting times for parts. Some things are on back order for months these days so just doesn’t work and is easier to write it off save themselves the storage costs and hire car costs
Was just watching one of your old vids and autoplay took me into this one. Looking forward to the finished product and yes the number crunch.. But whatever the numbers I can't afford it.. Nice to dream though. Thanks guys
Hi Rob just to let you know your truck needes MOT on the 6th of November love the video's rob and Chris
Lmao mate think he already knows cos it’s his truck why do people sit there doing mot checks on other people’s cars😂😂
Great video 📹 fellas you have had a bit of luck on getting this one 👍 I am sure you and Chris will get her back to showroom condition not looking forward to the parts bills 😕 stay lucky and healthy fellas looking forward to the next video 📹. On it 😊❤

Nice purchase gents…. Profits always in the purchase! 👍
Interesting new project should be a cracking car once its done❤
Nice project guys, looking forward to seeing it done❤❤
Another great find Rob 👍
Rob, Chris.. we need a 24hr challenge from start to finish 😂
Great video as usual boys ❤
This is an interesting buy I can see this progressing quickly.
When you said you panicked about it being a private entry to copart, don’t copart make it clear if it’s an insurance company entry?
I certainly wouldn’t entertain a vehicle a random has had a go at then entered it to copart.
I have put washers between the rim and the hub just to get a vehicle loaded. just steps it out a bit.
Brilliant as always gentlemen 👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Can’t get that model in the states with that motor sad really. I think Copart damaged the sensor that tells you the trunk is open time for Chris’s magic jumper wire in just the right spot. Great car thank you Gentlemen
Was the test drive filmed in slo mo?😂
Well u mentioned the back head rests as check the front ones as they all will go off as it’s the similar safety feature on Audi ,Vw and rolls Royce. As u can check on ur vehicle scanner check and use scanner for the activation on the locking mechanism in the boot
You can’t use the scanner with no power 👍
@@sruk read the full message as I am saying when you are scanning I did not say anything about no power! as I know u need power! as u can move the boot release mechanism in the scanner. you can have power tricking on the jump posts. As the same thing as when ur using it for tuning.
@@Jbubbs-381 I did read it all bud. the Piro breaks the connection in the posts so a diagnostic cannot be used until the repairs have been made
Not gonna lie, I saw the damage and thought ohhhhhh fu......but it's not as bad as 1st thought
Should be interesting to see this sorted guys
Sound!, well done 👍
another good buy lads.great video.
22:17 the ice cream vans coming?
Look forward to a new yard update vid 👍
Amazing video - very interesting content. (Again)😊
Great Channel
Fantastic motor be nice once done great video Guys
It's going to be one seriously nice car when done 👌👌👌
If it's like Volvo, you can't operate boot and roof together. One isolates the other.
Nice car chaps. Lovely on the mileage
Can you stop that ice cream man and get me a 99 please.
RICKAAAAYYYY... ... ...
Not many of them new shape 4 series convertible about, I have not seen any I can remember
Might be a silly question but I'm not a rich man..Any idea roughly how much the alpina is going to be sold for ? All time favourite car. Great video as usual
I take it there's no mechanical release on the boot lid that can be accessed from inside?
US/Canadian market cars are mandated to have a cable release in the inside of the boot (or as we call it, a trunk) if someone gets trapped or forced into them in a criminal act.
Evening fellas
the chimes are probably because the car thought the boot was open
A new headlight will probably cost nearly as much as what you paid for the car lol.
Not quite 👍
I think you have to change the passenger and driver's headrests are gone off🤔
suprised Chris doesnt have some dollys about you two have been in the game how long.
We have
Nice car guys
