I feel that the Jedi don't do romance not because it turns you dark but because it creates emotion and like other emotions they believe it could overpower the lightside. If you have no attachment then you feel nothing that could compromise you. In the event that your attachment is taken from you and you ultimately break, like Anakin, then there is a big Sithy problem for the span of three and half films to contend with. In the same sense a Sith is taught to have no remorse or empathy. Forming an attachment changes their outlook to see that perhaps some people are worth caring about. In turn uprooting their belief that nothing is important.
There have been Jedi in the lore before(iirc Revan was one of them) that advocated for allowing personal relationships because they believed that positive emotions like love strengthened their connection to the light side but the council shot it down
This makes me believe more in the theory that love is the balance of the force (how cliche it might sound). It brought Anakin to the dark, it brought Vader to the light.
Yep and we may never see them finish it unfortunately. The third game was cancelled by Disney after they acquired the IP.. there are a variety of elements/game mechanics that carried over into Jedi Fallen Order.. however the games aren’t identical by any means..
@@CasualAdept someone should look into finishing it. I found more care for story in those games than anytying disney could ever pay someone else to write. Jedi was great, has a conclusion and good story. Cousin to Force Unleashed. Also NOT disney. Please let there be someone to finish the Saga of Galen the OP.
People say star killer is overpowered, but the games as stated, or just an exaggeration of what actually happened they completely overlook the battle between Vader and star killer in the first game and Palpatine The reason why Vader lost a star killer because Vader lost focus in the book star killer went for his box on his chest and his helmet, therefore, causing Vader to lose focus because of his breathing, and in a black fit of rage that’s when star killer got the drop on Vader crushing his body with three large metal pipes, then throwing him out the window into a statue, crushing him, but not killing him as for Palpatine he knew star killer had to turn back to the Darkside somehow so I figured he either kills Vader or kills him in anger, but he was distracted, trying to kill general kota Star killer just ran over there, blocking Palpatine force, lightning and directing it back at Palpatine sending him back and now star killer standing over him. He was about to deliver the blow. Palpatine would’ve reacted, but he chose not to because he knew that if star killer kills him he goes back to the dark side if he kills him and anger means he’s already won but general. Kota stopped it. warning him if he strikes him down in anger, he’ll be right back where he began
Yes, unlike Reva who in "canon" was able to somehow travel to Tatooine from a different planet and more or less seem just fine only a few days after Vader fatally stabbed her through the stomach (for the second time).. Force Unleashed is underappreciated.. the writing was actually really good..
