This was a great video and looked to be quite helpful until it cut off abruptly at the end. Out of all the videos I have been scanning on this topic, yours was really easy to follow and seemed to be the one I was hoping to use to with my iRobot. Like others I’m wondering what the red dot means. I was hoping a part 2 showed up. A sequel would be most appreciated 😁
770 Getting error 2 after a few minutes but only on carpet, works fine on hard floor, changed the brushes and cleaned everything out including opening the gear box cleaning and regreasing and zero difference, brushes seem to be making a clunking noise on carpet
My Roomba always gives me a error messsge 14 which means the dust cup isn’t seated. I have always maintained my Roomba. I clean it after each use which is the least I can do for it after saving me hours of vacuuming. Any ideas?
Hello, I have an iroboot 700 device. When I start cleaning, it takes a simple step, and then there comes a red triangle with an exclamation point inside it. I cleaned all its parts, it is useless. What is the solution, thank you
I just put a new board in my roomba And now it seems to be stupid it can not find the docking station i checked all plugs there all in . do have any idea or fix to assist that thank you
did you pinch the 3 wires which wire into the top sensor on the roomba (or forget to plug connector into PCB). The ones which hide behind the front bumper (IR sensor). Google roomba built in self tests.
Doctor, I need your advice. My Roomba failed to navigate around the puppy poo and has left a messy trail down the hallway. It then navigated into the sunken lounge and proceeded to tangle itself in the white shagpile carpet. The only tool I have available is a rusty pair of garden shears. Any tips for recovering my Roomba and saving my carpet?
Diana paul yes. That can be removed. I can do video later if you want. It is held in place by 3 clips and you just open it fully and then pull it up. No problem to remove. Do you want to clean it? Is that why u want to remove ?
@@drroomba5045 980. I used high pressure air gun into the small fan motor inside the bin and got most of the water out. It's still drying. Haven't tested it yet.
@@drroomba5045 So i put it back together after i dubble checked it for any water and i noticed that these is a small motor inside the bin through the red plexi. So cleaning it with water is not a good idea, although i removed the water right after cleaning it. It works fine as of now but ive put it at risk of rusting the motor perhaps. If i knew there was a motor inside i would just just used air to clean it.
Here's a really good tip that has done wonders for me, to clean the bristle brush: I use a cat brush with the thin metal spikes! One example of that brush is called "Grreat Choice® Soft Slicker Short Haired Cat Brush". The Roomba tools don't do a good job. I also use an exacto knife to remove the tightly wound hair on the beater brush and bristle brush. Finally, I use a hand vac to suck out fine dust that is at the very middle of the bristle brush.
@@drroomba5045 thanks it’s showing error 8 I opened it and cleaned it the red dot fell off when I opened the robot so I taped I think I didn’t tape properly but I think that’s the problem

Great video. I'm a 76 year old woman and I was able to fix my roomba. Saved me the price of a new one.
Best video on you tube. I appreciate how thorough you showed each step. Thank you soo much.
Thanks 🙏
You saved my Roomba! She wants to eat everything now, thank you!
Very good step by step! Thanks for sharing this. Like+

Why do I need to make sure the red dot is there? New video please Dr Roomba?
So you know how to remove the wire bale on the cleaning head?
watch part 2 and see if that helps.
@@drroomba5045 it did not. That wire frame on the cleaning head can you create a video with removing it.
@@dianapaul284 you mean the wire cable connected to motor on one end and covered by red dot on other end? why you want to remove this?

Is it ok to clean the bin with warm water and let it dry some days?
I would not. I have cleaned many bins and remove all screws and separate the plastic and the motor. I then wash only the plastic. What model you have?
