I don't like the way some manufacturers are trading the column shiftier in for a knob/dial/push button shifter.A column shifter is not only natural but its easy for most everybody (including those with some physical challenges) to reach. Its right their by your hand easy.
T Ritchie ikr, that’s one of the reasons the Suburban is better than the Expedition, because it has a column shifter, and you don’t have to continuously look down to change gears. This is why I also hate the Expedition and prefer the much better suburban.
Drove the 2015-17 model as a rental this past summer... can't wait to drive the 2018!!! BTW, you said it was available in FWD, it's RWD, easy to mix up. :)
just wondering about the cargo space for max with all rows up. thinking from third row up is the same. sine max is 120+ total value and regular is 104+, is it safe to say regular is abt 20 and max is abt 36 with all 3 rows up(so reg abt half of max behind 3rd). interested in expedition but max to much and think regular fits what i need.

Americans are driving bus size vehicles disguised as SUVs and they don't even know it. I would only want to drive something like that on a road trip with a full family and my kids are paying for gas.

You get used to them in America. This is nice and roomy for the average American and the average American can usually pay for the gas. It also works great in San Francisco as a comfortable transporter

It doesn’t mean the expedition is bad, it just means the Suburban has major reasons that it’s dominating. I would buy the Suburban, just because it offers more and looks better at a lower price. But Ford definitely improved, but they didn’t improve enough to overthrow the Suburban.

Where is your hardshell? wearing that sweater on cold windy days is unwise. 23mpg highway? No way, my sister 2013 Lexus GS350 awd sedan (v6 306hp, 2 ton, aerodynamic) hardly achieve 24 mpg on the highway let alone a 3 ton 400hp suv. Can you do a mpg loop test Dave? Ford always lies about their mpg figures.
The EPA rates MPG, so I am not sure about the "Ford always lies" part. That Lexus you speak of is rated at 19/26-29, and weighs around 4000 pounds. This thing has a 10-speed, military strength aluminum "skin" and a turbo 6. It might be heavy (5500 pounds), but it's efficient.
You should actually drive the vehicles you review. I would actually watch your videos if you did, but it's too boring to watch your videos. Most other car reviewers drive the cars they review and I actually watch their videos. Not trying to be mean, just trying to help you out.

The MPG numbers sound too good to be true! That thing is a beast! Oil companies would just love it if we all drove something like this!
