Q&A'S ANSWERED 1. The full recipe is in the decription box. 2. If dough is too sticky keep adding 1/2 cup flour until it is comes together. Just remember, dont add too much as this is supposed to be a sticky dough :) which will make soft buns. 3. Yes you can skip the butter. 4. Yes you can skip the powdered milk. 5. Yes you can replace the milk with milk substitutes or even water. 6. Yes you can decrease the amount of sugar. BUT, this is a recipe for an enriched, flavorful dough. The more ingredients you skip or make substitutes for, the less likely it will taste the same as my recipe, and the less likely you will get a soft bakery style dough. So you can make all the substitutes you want, but you may not get the same results I show in the video. If you do substitute an ingredient and it taste good, let me know! Happy baking :)
Made these today. Excellent! Very flavorful dough. Simple to make and they look amazing! Sprinkled on some sesame seeds before baking for a little extra eye candy. 🙂 Thank you for a great recipe and a great video!
lovee your recipe! i made this by hand as i dont have a stand mixer or electric mixer.. i mixed all the sugar into the yeast mixture first and had to prove twice but all good and soft and airy and yumm! i also used himalayan salt and less sugar
It come out delicious. The dough is very sticky even with adding the flour. I guess the video just a commercial purposes but I’m glad it still come out good. Thank you
Thank you for sharing! I'm going to make this soon and was just wondering do you need to cook the sausage beforehand? Also, whenever i make bread, it's always really hard and dry. It's never soft and fluffy like yours. I wish i knew what i was doing wrong :(
Hi I would like to make about 100 pieces of hot dog sausages for the orphanage. Do I just multiple your recipe? What about the rising time and baking time?
Just regular white sugar 🙂 & if you dont have dry milk powder just leave it out and you may need to add a bit more flour. Let me know how it turns out!
I'd say give it a whirl. I've done double batches of much sturdier bread dough in mine and they come out okay. This is a fairly slack dough (with a nice fluffy end result) I would expect it to be okay. I was thinking about doing a double-batch to share at our next game night. If you do it before then, please share your results. 🙂
I just made these early this morning and my kids cant stop eating it for breakfast. Can i ask if i can use this recipe dough to use for red bean buns as well??
hi! tried ur recipe! love the buns!!! i was a little worried though because the dough is way too sticky even after proofing.. still sticking to my hands? tips to getting the elastic form?
@@FlouryKitchen Thank you! I followed the recipe and my bread turned out quite tough? I’m wondering what caused it. My yeast looks different to yours (smaller granules) so I’m wondering if I might’ve got the measurement wrong. Else, because it’s cold where I am, the dough didn’t really rise after proofing, so I put it somewhere warm and proofed it for another hour before rolling. It also took longer to cook, and was still raw on the bottom even after nearly 30 minutes. 😅 where’d I go wrong?
Hers looked pretty dry in the video, so I decided to do a quick 40 seconds in the microwave for 8 dogs and a wipe down / cool down before I wrapped them in the dough. (I used cheapy ole Farmer John dogs from Costco). No gaps between the dog and the dough in final product, so I was very happy with the results. If you have high quality/oily dogs, it may need more time so you don't end up with a gap between the dog and the dough. I wonder if you could lightly flour the dogs to alleviate that...hmm... :-)
@@FlouryKitchen i use this recipe as donuts fry it instead of bake it and turns out superb!! It was fluffy and awesome!!! Since u have not try you should!! It’s worth trying!! Filled it with nutella or vanilla pastry cream or just coated with sugar n cinnamon!!
If you are going to post a recipe at least get your ingredients measurement right! I was going to buy you coffee but I just wasted my money on my ingredients as your measurements are incorrect!
I'm sorry it didnt work out for you :( i still use this recipe to this day and it always works for me. Did you try to add half a cup more flour to your dough to make it less sticky? In the future you can also always just add more flour (half cup at time) to any bread recipe if it is too sticky, then let it rise, shape, and bake. That way you will still have delicious bread and will not have wasted any ingredients.

How much you add sugar when you put to the milk ?1 tsp ot 1 tbsp ?
Hello! Can I use bread flour in place of all purpose flour for this? I'm going to try this recipe this weekend :)

use cake flour if you want it softer

If you knead it by hand, how long do you need to do it for? Could you also provide recipe by grams ? Thanks!
That's why, in cup how can know exact, cup in different sizes. She think we stand next to her.
hi! tried ur recipe! love the buns!!! i was a little worried though because the dough is way too sticky even after proofing.. still sticking to my hands? tips to getting the elastic form?
If its too sticky add a 1-3 tablespoons of flour during the kneading process :) try not to add too much flour though, or it won't be as soft!
If you use low fat milk powder will that be the same?
Does salted or unsalted butter make any difference?
no, just make sure it’s not too salty. add less salt i mean
Hey!! Thank you for this recipe but do you use cooked or uncooked hot dogs?
Cooked! 😊
I don’t have dry milk what can I substitute?
Liquid milk
Bit of a dumb question here, should I cook my frankfurts before wrapping them or will they cook with the bread?
You cook them first 😊
