He's not underrated. He's not near as good as many of the virtuosos that were playing at that time. Seems like he's a good capable rhythm guitarist. He has had lead guitarists playing with him on occasion.

Saw him live a few years ago. He's quite the showman. Had everyone in the audience out of there seats & up on their feet dancing. People in their late 60's & even 70's (Everyone). The guy in front of us said it was his 5th time seeing George. I told him I can clearly see why. If you ever get a chance to see him live - Do It! You won't be disappointed.

He had a short musical career but years later appeared on tv to explain how his stammer had been cured and has since worked as a tv presenter.
