Thanks for posting these videos, captmoonbeam! I will be transferring to DFW approach and your videos have been very useful when combined with my study materials, with regards to "putting it all together" and seeing things from a pilot's perspective. Especially the live ATC communications. Thank you!
+James Thorpe Hi James. I'm always happy to hear that someone found one of my videos useful in their daily life. That's better than a like. Hope you like Dallas. As a frequent visitor there it seems like a good place to live.
@2:55 I love the comment, "Its gonna start fallin apart!, seriously!" yikes..! Were you guys a bit nervous or just frustrated..? Thanks! By the way I need that type of visor system for my van! lol :)
+BossaNossa1 More of a comment on the situation. The weather was going to start cutting of arrivals and departures which crowds more airplanes into less space. Lots of work and stressful for the approach controllers.
Did I understand that you crossed Addison heading 212? Landing 35, but the base turn onto final was up Hwy.360 from the west, so were you vectored for your downwind on the west side of DFW? I'm mixed up, but sure love watching this.
captmoonbeam I've watched all your videos- luv em ALL. You have a great sense of humor. Long aviation story here ~1964-2015 flew about everything GA, Mil C130 - Vietnam, UAL 727, 747 FE, :: CFI fixed+rotary. Etc etc. FAA grounded TypeII diab. Please call, text or E. I now fly + giggle with you Utube. Your funniest
That real talker piece of work in citation left goin round build ups into 35C DFW, you were sooo quiet cool in R seat tolerating all his gibberish and pointing gnawing on atc why this etc. Your displayed great aplomb.
Just curious, he was in a and out of Autopilot. Did he do that to perform all those turns for the weather, then go back on for the approach? Does that plane have CWS and was that was he was using?
Yeah. I might be going to the ATP flight school in Trenton,Nj. It is something I'm working toward. Ever sense I flown a Cessna for the first time. I felt like aviation is what I like to do. keep up the great work with your videos
Perfect. Keep them coming Moonbeam.
+samms doc Thanks Doc.
Cool approach! Great view, captmoonbeam. That's a busy day with those CBs hangin' out.

Beginning @5:19... How beautiful to be flying in between those cells! hun?
Nice landing!
+Brian McGee I always hate to hear that when I'm the non flying pilot. I'll pass it on though.
Storms, long line of planes. noisy. Very busy.
Great video !!!
+Neal Ogletree Thanks for watching.
You were not cleared to end video recording lol I don't mind watching until parked. Very cool video!
+Bowzer Thanks Bowzer. Missed that call. I obviously need to pay better attention to what ATC is saying.
Hey Captain Moonbeam. That was an exciting video. I really enjoyed it. When I win the lottery I'm going to charter a flight with you.
thanks I hope you win.
I thought I heard someone say "Holiday" isn't it "Hotel" or was he talking about something other than a call sign...?
+BossaNossa1 I don't know.

Yes. we were in a line of aircraft comming in from the east that had our arrival corridor cutoff by the growing storms.

+Brian K Rich MD Hi Brian I'm pretty sure he was using the CWS at one point as he was descending and turning.
What was all the amber annunciators coming on at touchdown??
Thrust reverser armed, unlocked and deployed lights. In that order.
great video. any advice for a future citation pilot?
Practice your instrument skills and network with corporate pilots at your local airport.
