- The Blazar Remus line has my heart. I would pick it 9 times out of 10...The 1.5x Squeeze anamorphic pairs beautifully with my FX3, and has such beautiful character.

@JonnyRoams is an incredibly talented artist, go tell him I say hi!

I love how you deepen your blacks. You have no idea how much it irritates me to see stale looking footage nowadays, even in hollywood.
With a 100K, I’d start my dream docu-series, taking a couple creators to create their dream project in a fly location. Documenting their whole creative process from start to finish.
I genuinely hope you win
With tattoos, had, long hair... Brady is morphing into that "what's up" dude from Canada.
Great review ! I just received mine, close focus is crazy indeed !
That Porsche build is so clean!
Brady wearing a Cam Mackey hat talking about anamorphics is like when Kenjaku took over Getos body in real life
Why don’t you get back in your bronco and stop telling you want my blazars 😒😒😒😒😒
Jk I love u kofi
I mean, I will if they’ll send them to me
You think Gojo gone for good bro? 😢
@@BraxChatI think the manga ends tomorrow, he ain’t coming back bruh🥹
I waited for this video of you for so long. Thank you for this!
Of course!!!!
I would pay my crew a decent wage.
This man deserves it😭😭😭
This is such a cool lense, but holy shit bro. Your shots and colorgrading make that lense look so freaking cool! Absolutely legand
I would love to use a Blazar Remus lens for my wedding films and see if I can create anything close to what Justin Porter does. By the way, if I entered the Artlist 100k contest, I would shoot the college script that I wrote, since it was the only B+ script that I got. Yes, there were formatting issues with the previous scripts I wrote for the class, but it was the most fun to write about an American veteran coming home.
If you're planning to get any of Blazar's Remus lenses go for the B-set selection + 33mm. They're much sharper.
Yeah I'm gonna need one
I ordered this lens the day it was announced and I can’t wait to get my hands on it!
Love it stopped down, that really seems to be where the magic of the wide anamorphic happens! Also love the iFootage car mount. I shot a driving short with mine last year and it was so easy to adjust to any setup inside and outside the car. 🤘
I would create my dream Sci-Fi Mind Bender mini series, with music I score and sing over. Something like if Labyrinth, Donald glover, and Christopher Nolan worked together 🤔
Good times dude 🤝🏼
33mm is hands down my favourite, but 85mm comes close 😍
If only I had it I could agree 👀
Perspective from 3:36 reminds me of the Norway chase from No Time to Die, incredible lens
ok well that settles it last one I need - I have 100mm 85mm and the 45mm in PL Blue - I think this last one makes a nice 4 lens set... folks PLEASE dont forget to to buy a +.5 close focus filter(Diopter) You will want .5 if you only get 1 good one.
So I have a feature I'm doing in October. I charged $7,500 for it. I'm receiving a deposit soon and I'm def buying at least 2. 33mm and the 50mm and somewhere down the line, the 100mm
Loving your channel! I was wondering, where did you learn about lighting? Were you self taught, TH-cam, workshops, etc? Looking forward to watching more of your videos, they are super helpful!
Thank you! A mix of in person experience , and TH-cam!
@@BradyBessette Very cool, thanks!
I have the A set and though I want this lens I think this month have to spend the cash on the B set while the promotion is good. But since the 45mm is my favorite so far, I bet the 33mm will be a fav as well
😍😍😍😍😍
Great video. If you could only buy one Remus, which focal length would you go for? 33, 45, 50, 65? I can’t decide!
Yeah, would definitely go with the Atlas Mercury 36mm over the Remus 33mm as a forever lens. The Remus lenses are fantastic for the price… but they are entry level. Blazar will one up themselves soon enough, and everyone will sell them off upgrading. The mercury’s are lenses to last a career.
They definitely are two different markets. But both fit each market well!
🔥🔥🔥
really really informative video... thank you so much for the reviews... it would be really interesting to see how a short film made from the lens, as well as the location... could make for a good thriller short..
That could be a good idea
Nice Cam Mackey hat
I can’t decide between the 33mm and the 35mm. Leaning towards the 35mm for now tho.
Beautiful showcase of lenses and personality. Hell yea
Which flare and which mount? Would be lovely to know.
Guess Amber and Nisi?
Thank you so much!!! Silver flare, I think NiSi adapter
Can you shoot a short film on it soon? We're waiting for you to do a narrative.
1:42-2:04 is so me!
Man this lens looks sick! Great review and video! 3:51 Whats the fisheye lens used on this?
bro wore a musicbed t shirt to talk about artlist ads :3
Any word if well ever get this in black?? Maybe im boring but i hate how they look physically and would rather just have a black one but image quality is looking so good
I thought this was 1.33 anamorphic though...but that it LOOKS like 1.5
No! True 1.5
@@BradyBessette Ah you know what, I was thinking about the new auto-focus Remus. I feel like I saw you on Brandon Washington's channel talking about it. That's what I'm waiting for honestly.
My man cool video! Did you use the silver coated lens in the video?
Could one of you creators please do a tutorial for how to use these BLAZAR lenses in Premiere pro... I'm a noob and playing around with one.. sent footage after playing with open gate, 1.5 aspect and exporting 1.5 or 1.0 and peeps are getting squeezed video files.... you've obs nailed it - any advice :))
can someone tell me how he got his shot so smooth at 6:05 what mount did he use ? Did he use the ronin ?
Hi. Great shots. Were all the shots shot with natural light?
Yes!
hey brady, did you use a step up ring of 77-82mm to use that nd filtre? and which PL adapter did you use for the fx3?
Brady, another quality video man.
If you were to go for the set, can i ask if youd get the 33, 45, 65, 100.... or the 33, 50, 85, 125? Going to pull the trigger on these but im torn!
I'd do the 33, 50, 85, 125. That set is sharper than the other set. And that 85 is real nice
@@jaxfilm I agree, and ordered it about 2 seconds after writing that comment HA! super excited 🙌🏼
I dont any thing know about you skills// tell me about you car skills and internel sound ambiance please
Looks great! What camera Car mount was used??
It’s an ifootage one
Amazing rev, btw which lens in 4:47? looks amazing! thx!
maybe, Blazar Remus 33mm 1.5x Anamorphic ?
33!
you go wrid of the distortion, I see ? I know the 33mm has a lot of distortion.
Nope , this is exactly out of camera
@@BradyBessette at 7:30 you do talk about the distortion, but if you would compare your footage to the video of the Asian coffeshop Blazar has on it's website. It looks like the distortion is les knowtesable in your footage. Or is it becouse you did not make pan shots ;)
thanks for the review! One question: does the stabilization in FX3 sensor works well with an anamorphic lens?
No, since anamorphics squeeze the image, you can’t use ibis! But I’ve heard LUMIX has anamorphic support for ibis
LUMIX is the only option for anamorphic IBIS
Is it easy to pull focus since the image is squeezed on the camera monitor?
It isn’t hard but it isn’t the easiest thing
those micro jitters ain't doing it for me. Grab a cinesaddle or one of the cheap knockoffs of a cinesaddle to soften the micro-shakes on that tiny-ass camera.
I also have an FX3 and I am planning to buy this 33mm lens, what is your adapter?
Yeah, I just checked and they just have PL Mount. I would like to know to @BradyBessette
What if i win the 100.000and i do not use it to make one film, but to live from it 3 jears, making free movies for all small businesses in the area that otherwise could not afford having videocontent for their website, or socials
What’s the lens u use @ 3:51
What color flare is this?
Silver flare!
@@BradyBessette Awesome thank you! Looks like it adopts the color of the light source a little bit which is perfect in my opinion. (unless you did that in the grade). Great video thanks!
It doesn’t even have autofocus
I can’t tell if bro is trolling or serious… Thats just how Cine lenses are. 🤷♂️ they are all Manual focus. 😃
Then wait for their Apex lenses 🔥
Nothing like being rich.....
😍😍😍😍😍😍
