Incredible how tight this band was in the rehearsal space ...many bands with pro tools and all modern technology at their disposal wouldn´t have a clue where to start emulating what I hear in this "rehearsal demo " (??!! ). This is fire ,won´t get much more Metal than this...1st saw them on the 7h tour of a 7th tour with Helloween opening -you might not believe it but there were still pretty strong residues of what I hear in this . Thanks for sharing ...priceless !
I like both Bruce and Paul’s vocals. Both in remember tomorrow, but Bruce did it better in one part. In the part of “yesterday sorrows”, I felt Paul kinda rushed it a bit and the beat is a slower one. But, Bruce slowed it down a bit and fits better.
Bruce is great, he even tries to sing close to what these gifts from IRON's first albums did, they belong to Dianno and no one can take that away, if he sang like that to this day, he wouldn't have a throat anymore! Hugs from Brazil. Bruce é ótimo, até se esforça para cantar próximo do que esses dons dos primeiros discos do IRON exigem, eles pertencem ao Dianno e ninguém tira isso, se ele cantasse assim até hoje, não teria mais garganta! Abraços do Brasil.
Each singer does their songs best and I can't imagine either of them doing the others better than they do themselves. Who do I like better? I'm undecided because I like the first four albums the best and would have a hard time picking one
Paul kicks ass, but for those who don't like Bruce due to his operatic tendencies, they need to hear that version of Killers, thats some young Hetfield stuff with better range, almost the perfect thrash singer. Just to add, Bruce is my favorite vocalist, just when he was younger, with that screaming, he could of fronted a killer thrash band, that was still a couple of years and some more brutal guitar playing away though
Is it Bruce singing ? Sounds odd, like neither quite Paul nor Bruce ... thanks for the information though ,all these years and I had never heard of that EP´s existence ...actually got into Maiden 1 or 2 years after at a very young age ,at a time when even the official records were extremely rare in this country . Where I currently live there was 1 record store in the Capital who imported Metal music .Imagine that in case you happen to be younger than I am .
@@saraivatoledo1842 It's Bruce. His early voice is outstanding and had a wide range. This maxi single can't you buy officially. But on YT it's streamed well. Otherwise you have the option to buy the old 12 wasted yers single series from 1990 for a lot of money, or the orginal single maxis for more.
I think Bruce does a great job singing Dianno era songs. Off course nothing like the original but he does a great job. I can't say the same for Blaze era songs. He does ok/pretty good , not bad. Blaze voice and style is so different so I guess it must be hard.

The last song is clearly live , and not only that ...I recognized Bruce in the 1st two songs -not so much on "remember tomorrow " though ...even the way he thanks the crowd at the end ,I have strong doubts that is Bruce ...could it be that Maiden auditioned anyone else in between ? And if so, who exactly ?
Remember Tomorrow was recorded by Di'anno in Japan 1981, Bruce voice is oberdub, this raw and vulgar mix is a quite worse than definitive release later as a b-side of The number of the beast single.
Into Iron Maiden since around 83/84 and also , just like you , did not recognize the voice on "Remember tomorrow " ...it´s odd cause it didn´t sound like either Paul or Bruce ...maybe it´s ear damage from hundreds of concerts in over 35+ years .
It's taken from a Paul live track. You can hear him introduce it in the beginning (all right,we're going to slow it down a bit). The vocal is Bruce, but the song I slightly sped up giving his voice an odd sound
@@saraivatoledo1842 Brother from another mother! \m/ since 11 \m?/ and Im 46 now. Cheers! Btw that voice is between Bruce and Paul + big bit of hair and spandex hehe
Can’t help but laugh when people even compare Dianno to Dickinson.Dickinson just cripples him especially here when he’s at his peak!Like saying who like better someone who sounds like Bon Scott mixed with Bruce Springsteen or Bruce Dickinson !
Lazy comparison ...matter of fact is that if we go by "musicality " you should be listening to Opera singers instead of poor man´s copies of the Ian Gillans and Ronnie James Dios of this world .Paul Di´anno was an unique singer/frontman ,precisely why those 1st two records are still held in high regard ,timeless even ,whereas albums like "Number of the beast " aged extremely poorly .
Bruce a toujours eu du mal avec les chansons des deux premiers albums, Paul beaucoup plus puissant et monte vraiment dans les aigus… les cris de Bruce sont irascibles
No no no not Bruce on this songs! It sounds terrible. He shouldn´t sing these songs at all. Number of the Beast was epic with him but this old stuff doesn´t suite him. Paul is epic on those two first albums and he and the band is the true Maiden sound to me.
No point in speending it up the way it was done here. The original recording was not like this. Crap sound. Love Maiden and this track but in the normal version.
Stop singing his songs? Hahaha, what were you on when you wrote this? This is an AUDITION TAPE from 40 years ago! Bruce had no problems at all with not singing "Paul's songs." He only had to sing Paul's songs long enough to take his job, then the band moved on to much bigger and better things. Solid career of genre defining metal, huge smash albums, world tours, one of the greatest and most successful metal bands to this day. That's Bruce's resume. Meanwhile, Paul lived off "his songs" for the next 30 years playing nostalgia shows to bars full of 50 people in Eastern Europe. Tried to make some other music that made no waves. Pretty clear winner there, mate.
I think that Steve Harris had some chills hearing this audition
It’s like being a teenager again in the 80s! Thank you for this!
Close but it’s no DIANNO. Paul’s voice and attitude dominate those first two albums, they are his and cannot be done justice.
ninguém vai tirar os dois primeiros discos do Iron do DIANNO, abraço do Brasil.
Pure love. I love Maiden. Saved my shitty life several times.
"Music forms the soundtrack to our lives, and helps us get through life" said Axl Rose
crazy how music puts things into perspective..we're all going through some trauma or another but if we keep the faith we'll get through..up the irons!
C'mon there are no shitty lives. Cheer up 👍
Chilling.. gives me goosebumps. Incredible. Bruce is the best.
He can't sing Diannos songs ,it's shit ,he should stick to his own
I am a fan of Paul DiAnno, but this is great. KILLERS is my fave Maiden album
I can imagine cartoon style £ signs shooting out of Steve's eyes as Bruce auditioned :D
Steve wasn't there they had Bruce sing on the original recording of the first 2 albums, there was no musician playing
I love the first two albums, but upon hearing this I would love them even more if they had this raging singing!
that fucking voice is amazing! great video!
This is why Bruce went onto become the greatest metal singer!! Even the bad quality makes ,this, sound more #EPIC \m/ \m/
Yes the air reid siren himself.
"Bad quality " ? Where ? 🤷♂
This guy is pretty good, I think he'll make it some day.

Bruce recorded his vocals over the original album recordings. It is a bit sped up for unknown reasons. It does create some extra energy.
Bruce KILLED this, YEA, YEAAAA👍🔥🔥🔥
This musics are better in Diano's voice. It sounds more macabro😂
Maybe...
Paul's voice is not macabre, Bruce's is
Clive on drums ❤

this version is playing way fast. I think that gives it that effect
"those who don't like Bruce" - not a sentence I've seen before, and an interesting concept. Perhaps found in a parallel universe or something.
One of the legends :)
It sounds like this is pitched up; probably from speeding up the original recording. I’m curious as to how it sounds in the original key.
If it is a Bruce voice audition, I wonder about who was on instrumental track .. Samson? Nice audition tape filtering sounds.
Uhm... Iron Maiden. Those are the master tapes, I would presume.
This is a iron Maiden live record without Di'Anno vocals. Di'Anno vocals is in a Very low volume because Its just in audience microphone.
This version of "Remember Tomorrow! is from the B-Side of The Number Of The Beast Maxi 1982, ... "Beast Over Hammersmith" 1982.

bruce singing here over live recording where paul sings. bruce tried also cover di annos speaches to the crowd by grunting over it.
Bruce did an interview where he addresses/explains this... go here: th-cam.com/video/6RwCDbRTNeI/w-d-xo.html

It’s sad how one of the best metal/rock stars has died at age 66 he was a great singer that left the band in ‘83 I think his name was Paul dianno
Paul left in ‘81
I would like more Dickinson's Maiden era if he have singed this way at least on records
bruce actually sounded great on these songs. he became a little too operatic by Somewhere in Time ,singing in his mono tone voice.
That's still Clive Burr on the drums, right?
Yes, Nicko didn’t join until the peace of mind, which was the second album with Bruce

Wow I loved Remember Tomorrow's version
There's no way this photo is the demo session, it's gotta be Compass Point, Bahamas recording Piece of Mind or Powerslave.
Probably Powerslave, since the hair is blonde
Uh!!why didn’t they take better care of these recordings?
Bruce kills!! Anyway this tape runs too fast, music is half a tone up
You forgot Twilight Zone!
Really!, just missed Twilight Zone.... Because its quality was very bad. Sorry.
Oh, its alright. This video is great already :)
Even this quality give me a new sensation
He still had his Samson voice. That got ruined by mid 82
Bruce Bruce is much better than Bruce Dickinson.
Yes Dickinson after 1978 ruined his voice , 1978 May to be precise....
Great songs

Good but he can't match what Paul did with these songs.
