    Aesthetically this is a stunning piece of minimalistic design- it gets 10/10. I must arrange a listen here in the UK.

    Easy to listen to this reviewer, and his explanations are clear.

    Man the visual quality of your videos has improved tenfold! Great review, must be a blast to work around gear like this full time.

      Thank you! Yeah, I'm shooting with a DSLR now and I added the anamorphic bars for dramatic effect in this one. It can be fun to work around the nice gear sometimes. :)

    The cartridge alone was rated in stereophile to equal that of a $2000 cartridge. It just sounds that good. Also if you replaced the center record clamp, the cheap plastic one they give you with a VPI stainless steel record clamp that just fits over the spindle that too will improve its performance.

    • @Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy
      @Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The plastic one they give you works adequately, but my favorite is the Clearaudio Twister Clamp. It grips the spindle as you twist the lock and tightens down without adding undue weight that can effect the bearing. Some clamps are too heavy for some tables.

    This turntable is basically the same TT as my old Clearaudio Emotion mk1 from around 15 years ago, but upgraded a wee bit. Not a bad TT at all and like this guy said a lot more deck than the cost suggests :-)

      @ptg01 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Curious.. what are some of the pros/cons ? "Not a bad TT" sure sounds like you have some reservations with it? Thanks.

    I have a Marantz 6100 Turntable. It makes a perfect set with the Marantz 5220 Tape Deck and a Marantz 2225 Receiver. I think the Marantz 2225 was the best and most beautiful (without that exaggeration of buttons) model already developed until today. Its sound is soft and pleasant. I use this set with a pair of Akai speakers from 1972. All in new condition.

      I have nearly the same Setup. But i have the Marantz 2238 Not the b Version. But i have very modern Nubert nuvero Speaker. I like my Marantz 6100 turntable. Thumbs up from Germany.

    You mentioned that it does not come assembled.. Is the cartridge already properly attached to the headshell ? I am confident I can handle anti-skate and the counter weight but worried about properly aligning the cartridge to the headshell to the tonearm. Also, it appears that this turntable is from 2006 or so ? That's quite a good, long run !

    Clint, I just bought this TT after watching your video and reading reviews. Added a Phenomena II Plus preamp and a cover. Am torn between this and the Clearaudio Concept. Which do you prefer?

    • @Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy
      @Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are very close. I like the frosted acrylic look of this, if you play different speed records, the Concept is easier to change speeds since it's just a dial. Both are nice. In Clearaudio I like the Performance DC, then you're taking a nice step up.

      You don't need to. It doesn't come with one though, if that's what you're asking. If you don't use a dust cover, just make sure to take your LP's off after you're done playing them so they don't get dusty.

    Nice ! What options are available for covers that are not $200 and up ? Also, does this mean that the 2MBlue is compatible with this TT ?

    • @Clint_the_Audio-Photo_Guy

    Hi ,Clint. I'm from Argentina. Your excellent video made me buy one of this Marant TT recently , but i have a serious problem because i´ve mistakenly bought the american version designed for 60 Hz and my country (Argentina) is 50 Hz , so the rotation speed is too low , about 28 rpm instead of 33 1/3 rpm.
    Would you please do me a little favour that would be very important to me ?. Can you measure the external diameter of the pulley you have (its larger diameter) , and tell me that figure ? Only that. Marantz doesn't respond to my inquires, and i have the doubt of the model of pulley that i need. With the diameter of the pulley you are using for 60 Hz, i can assure the one i need for 50 Hz.
    Sorry and thank you. I give you my best regards from Argentina.
    Juan Carlos Madera

      Yep. As I say now, you're lucky if you've got anything right now. Everything went up in price drastically this year, plus we can't get stuff even if we wanted to. We have to order and wait months, and they might raise the prices in the meantime.
