    Because I've seen it being mentioned a lot, more so since the launch of Shadowlands, I thought I'd quickly clear something up, Il'gynoth's quote at 0:27 isn't referring to Sylvanas as she has died three times (thus far) in the lore.
    Her first death was to Arthas during his siege on Quel'Thalas.
    Her second death was after Arthas' death atop Icecrown Citadel after she committed suicide by jumping off the top of ICC.
    And finally her third death was during the Cataclysm version of the Silverpine Forest quest line at the hands of Lord Godfrey after he shot her.

      @@fellowhuman8682 Some of them are fine, but things like Void Elves and LFD fighting together? No. Void Elves have apparently mastered something even the titans don't understand. Wow. LFD are Light infused and entirely subservient to the Light, and as we know, the Light doesn't tolerate the Void. Why the hell aren't they killing anything that's even gone near shadow? Nightborne leader (can't remember her name) goes horde just cause Tyrande is a bitch to her. Never mind your Warchief is an undead abomination, and ofc don't worry about that goddess you used to worship that 100% exists. The whole thing just seems illogical to me. :

      1. Magni is now the "pawn" of Azeroth's world-soul or he connected to the Earth, Old Gods tricking him into believing their voice was the Titan's.
      2. The 5 Pillars of Creation. (Old Gods could know it can open their prison, manipulating Magni into saying the key was in a book on Karazhan.)
      3. Khadgar finding the book and unknowingly looking for and using the Pillars, falling into the Old God's plans.

      Odyn is the lord of ravens. What's more interesting, at the end of Trials of Valor he goes off to Ulduar to visit his titan keeper cousins... Which, from the prequel even to Legion, is revealed to still be affected by faceless, so it stands to reason Odyn doesn't return from Ulduar entirely normal...

    @jem5378 8 ปีที่แล้ว +103

    Ok so I've complied a list of this guy's quotes and the multiple theories of their meanings I've found:
    "Flesh is his gift. He is your true creator." - Yogg'Saron spread the Curse of Flesh upon the Titan's creations, who eventually devolved into humans, dwarves, and gnomes. The curse was intended to "facilitate assimilation", AKA make the mortal races more easily bent to their will.
    "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn." - Most likely Magni Bronzebeard, after turning into diamond and presumed dead, it was revealed that the ritual causing is was was actually successful, and he became one with the Stone. He returned, claiming to serve the "Earthmother", Azeroth's World-Soul (an unborn Titan.)
    "The lord of ravens will turn the key." - Either Khadgar, Medivh, or Malfurion, who're all known to shape-shift into ravens. Or Kur'talos Ravencrest, the undead (ghost) night elf who died in the War of the Ancients and, during Legion, was temporally enslaved by the Legion. He also has the title "Lord."
    "The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies will he offer you." - Anduin is now a king, but also a priest (and cinnamon roll) so it would be interesting if he lied to you once, much less three times. Wrathion hasn't been mentioned since Warlords of Dreanor, and also has the title "Prince", not "King." But aside from him and Anduin I cannot recall anyone else fitting that description.
    "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." - Possibly the Maelstrom. When the titans ripped the Old God Y'Shaarj out of the earth, it not only created a huge crater but also wounded Azeroth's World-Soul, and it's blood filled the crater until it became the Well of Eternity. Also theorized to be Jaina, who's home, Theramore, was reduced to a crater by Garrosh's manabomb, but I believe Blizzard said Jaina would not be present in Legion.
    "Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path." - There are five Pillars of Creation.
    "At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming." - Often theorize to be Sylvanas, but she's died three times (Arthas, suicide, bullet to head.) Also considered is Elisande, who we fight three times because twice she uses the Nightwell to reverse time to when we first engaged her, her third attempt fails as the Nightwell can no longer sustain her, and she dies.
    "From the earth, he draws strength. Our earth. Our strength." - Either Thrall or Deathwing, both previously Earth-Warders. Honestly a lot of people, particularly shamans and druids, "draw strength from the earth," so it's hard to tell.
    "Its surface blazes bright, masking shadows below." - Elune (the moon), or maybe a Naaru? No idea.
    "To find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars." - N'Zoth is believed to be buried under Kalimdor, which the Titan's named "Land of Eternal Starlight." Again, no idea.
    ---
    And that's all I can think of. Any other theories? The last two were are especially a mystery to me.

      "At the hour of her third death, she will usher in our coming" can also mean Azeroth. First, the Sundering. Then, the Cataclysm. And the third one will come probably soon.
      "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn" - What if Magni thought he heard Azeroth, but actually it was N'zoth, who told him to get the Pillars of Creation, which will be used to open the way for Old Gods?

      ***** well to correct you :D azeroth doesnt have ONLY world soul,it is just most powerful one... what do you think why did sargeras go all burning legion shite?? cause when he found out why void lords sent old gods to corrupt the land on different planets,he instantly split the planet in half and when he came back to pantheon, they were not happy and told sargeras that they should have known about it first and then they would do something about it, cause of that sargeras didnt have much more faith in pantheon so he went back to marduum and when he opened the legion's prison's gate fel energy came runing out and it turned him into fire badass he is,and thats why he created legion to stop void lords from corrupting world souls and getting void lord powerfull minions... so thats why he will continue to invade azeroth cause if azeroth and old gods are continued to live then all life will be truly lost even sargeras will be puny grunt in front of azeroth WS, and if WS gets her body then... even void lords will die

    When Sylvanas dies one more time, which is what sylvanas has been trying to prevent by subjugating Ayir in Stormheim, the old gods, or N'zoth will arise as a consequence of the event, whether direct or stray.

    "the Boy King Serves at the masters Table, Three lies he will offer you." - This is very disturbing considering that the only "boy-king" we know is young Anduin. Theres probably some future or past references is his lore we missed where he at some point lied to us in the story. especally Pandaria. for all we know he may have had a few conversations with Wrathion which influenced the boy to be a little more. Deceptive. but hey. it doesn't exactly clarify: the masters table: perhaps he may have given these lies with Wrathion considering they both were at the table discussing politics and offerings at Wrathions table. in which the pandaren who speaks to you "the master wishes to speak with you, he is upstairs with our other guest."
    "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." - I'm pretty sure he's refering to Azeroth herself. we can point out other speculations like Jaina, but thats up to the persons imagination.
    "The King of Diamonds has been made a pawn." - this is pretty cryptic, you can't exactly say that he is being made a pawn by the old gods. one can say he is since he can speak to the planet itself, which has roots of old gods seeped into her soil. either he's a pawn of the titans, or a pawn of an old god. they're meant to be deceptive, making you beileve that the King is a pawn rather than a champion of the titans.
    "At the hour of her third death, Ushers in our coming." - this can be debatable: technically Azeroth died twice. the first was during the war between the Titans and the Old gods. the Second was from the great sundering during the first invasion of the burning leigon. the third is now the supposeivly sward sticking right into her core impaled by Sargeras.
    "From the earth, he draws Strength. Our earth, Our strength" - again, pretty cryptic, but Ultimately indicates he's probably talking about N'zoth. "our earth" meaning its their earth, which means "our Strength"
    "Its surface blazes light, masking Shadows below." - either a metaphor that promotoes to the belief that no matter how much good a person, creature, or being has. they are still evil inside. (example: Bishop Benedictus who was once a believer of the light, helper of the innocent and helpless, a symbol of hope and peace. now a disgusting and horrible pawn of Deathwing)or: This may Highly point to the Narru since they are both Darkness and Light. one can discuss with Xe'ras disturbing intentions with illidan. but for now im leaving it like this.
    "to find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars." - Another mystery i can leave a few guesses, but he might be refering to sargeras, N'zoth, or Illidan. i have to put N'zoth as the first since they highly regard to their creators and induce fear into their victims, for curiosity satisfaction he could be refering to sargeras or illidan, ones the hero who will help us defeat the leigon. the other is the Lord of the Leigon we are trying to stop. the Circle of stars however. is a big mystery for me. one can imply he speaks of the stars itself. Old gods and Titans arn't exactly planetary entities. Sargeras communicates in the twisted nether, the Old Gods were created by Void, which existed in the far reaches of space. can't really tell.
    "Five keys to open our path, 5 torches to light our path." Yeah likely refering to the pillars of creation. Aegis of Aggramar, Tidestone of Golganneth, Eye of Aman'thul, Hammer of Khaz'goroth, and the Tears of Elune. as the five keys, and the five torches.
    "flesh is his gift, he is your true creator." - This one seems very obvious. as it was stated long ago that the old gods bestowed the curse of flesh to titan constructs, Humans, dwarfs, gnomes are a prime testiment to the Old gods curse. this may imply to other creatures such as the highborne and trolls. since they were around along side with the Old Gods before the titans set foot on Azeroth.
    "the lord of ravens will turn the key." - Likely refering to Mediv or Khadgar as they both represent "The Raven of Tirisfal"
    "a presence, something new, yet familiar, yes." - This is an introduction, so he's likely refering to the champions that come through the portal to face him. he seems to be pointing that the champions are new, yet the feeling is somewhat familiar. my guess is the following: like certain bosses, he's probably reacting to certain artifacts that the players have, such as the healing staff from the druids, the dagger from the shadow priest, and the two handed (arms) sword Strom'kar the Warbreaker, all have a connection to Old God lore. (The book of knowledge in your class hall will explain that. and not just a small portion. it's a huge connection to them)
    "your coming was foretold in the rings, the long circle is nearly complete." - This ones hard too but still an introduction, i still think that it has something to do with a prophecy thats implying that we're somehow indirectly releasing the old gods from the prison. the circle that could be referring to is the fact that how much they constantly die and revive just to complete a scheme that will finally release them from their prisons.

    Now that Nazjatar and Azshara's eternal palace have been leaked, this all makes sense now
    The diamond king has been made a pawn - Magni sends you to capture the essence of each dragonflight and contain them into an amulet "for healing Azeroth" he claims, which has been EXACTLY the same process for crafting the dragon soul
    Five keys to open our way, five torches to light our path - 5 dragonflight essences for empowering the amulet: Blue, Red, Bronze, Green and Black
    Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it - We filled the amulet, which is Azeroth's Heart
    To find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars - The circle of pillars next to Nazjatar's Eternal palace which contain N'zoth prison
    At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming - Azshara metaphorically died two times: Once when she turned for the legion, the second for N'zoth, and we fight her right in front of N'zoth cell in Nazjatar's Eternal palace
    Plus, Azshara says: Yes, a titan's heart was exactly what was needed. Not to heal the world... but to shatter the prison of a god.
    We brought the heart of Azeroth right into N'zoth prison. We fucked up

    • @brunom7162
      @brunom7162 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't get the Azshara's death thing. The only "death" she had was when she drowned and become a Naga. If her "deaths" mean the times she sacrificed her people (I don't get why these events would be referred as "death" at all), then does that mean that she intends to sacrifice them again? I think the prophecy is not about Azshara. It's not about Azeroth too, because she died more than three times (the destruction of Y'shaarj, the Sundering, the Cataclysm and Sargera's sword). And it's not about Sylvanas too (she already died 3 times: 1) at the hands of Arthas; 2) when she tried suicide; 3) When she was killed by Lord Godfrey.)
      So it could only be 3 characters: Jaina (her father's death and the destruction of Theramore - two metaphorical "deaths"); Xal'atath (If she is truly an Old God, then she died at the times of the Black Empire, and again when we used her power against Sargera's sword); or Alleria (she already said to Turalyon that she feels like she died twice, although I don't remember why)

    So here's the character theories I've gathered from these voices...pretty well aware this has already been done before but I want to speculate for myself a bit.
    "The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies will he offer you." It's easy to assume this is talking about Anduin Wrynn. I mean, Anduin was literally "The Boy King" of Stormwind at 10 during vanilla while his father was missing, and with the ongoing trend of notable priests of the Church of the Holy Light (Archbishop Benedictus and Bishop Farthing to be specific) being secretly in league with the Twilight's Hammer it's an easy thing to assume. I think that's a Red Herring and Blizzard is aware of it. Truly I think that the character this applies to is actually Wrathion, the de-corrupted Dragon Whelp of the Black Dragonflight. Wrathion's corruption was supposedly cured by the Red Dragons, but what if it actually hasn't been entirely cured? After all, Wrathion shows many of the tendencies of his father - paranoia, delusions, a sense of accomplishing a greater purpose at any cost. He just doesn't have voices in his head (that he's aware of). He's already managed to screw stuff up thanks to WoD, so whose to say he won't do it again? We already know that dragons that have been purified of Old God corruption are prone to being retainted once again with Ysondre, a Green Dragonflight formerly corrupted by the Nightmare who supposedly was redeemed but has since fallen back into old habits and a boss in the Emerald Nightmare raid. So it's entirely possible that Wrathion, prince of the Black Dragons and last of his kind (known to him anyway, since there's already a legit pure Black Dragon in Highmountain and a couple living ones in Outland right now, along with the Netherwing Dragonflight) could well be the boy-king serving at the Master's Table.
    "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." This can also apply to two characters. The very obvious one is Jaina Proudmoore (and the one I kind of hope it is), since the crater could directly refer to Theramore's destruction and the resulting gash that she feels now that the Horde - the group she trusted and tried to aid since the events of the Third War - managed to ultimately betray her. But it could just as easily refer to Azeroth itself. We already know, thanks to Magni, that Azeroth is a female titan soul in the making. Considering the Titans have warred over her surface, perhaps her literal heart has developed a crater that the Old Gods are trying their damnedest to fill. Scary thought, hope we don't have to fight our own planet as the game's end boss.
    "The king of diamonds has been made a pawn." Way too easy, definitely Magni.
    "At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming." This has got to be Sylvanas. Sylvanas has already died twice - once to Arthas, the second when she threw herself off of Icecrown. I will bet that Sylvanas will go crazy after losing her chance at immortality and will wind up sacrificing everything to try and get it back, and in the process will make a deal with Yogg-Saron himself to do it. Whether this will make her a villain in an expansion has yet to be seen, but considering it will help make her character interesting as she continues to marr herself with her mistakes I am more than looking forward to it.
    "From the earth he draws strength...Our earth. Our strength." This has got to be Thrall, but it could also be a different character, perhaps Magni again or perhaps someone we've yet to encounter. Thrall has basically been the Green Jesus of Azeroth who could do the impossible, but that's obviously changed thanks to WoD now that the elements are basically rejecting him for his dishonorable kill of Garrosh on Draenor (which, 1. How would the elements even be aware of it when Draenor's an alternate reality separated by a portal in time?, and 2. Garrosh deserved it, the elements should give Thrall a break seeing as Garrosh literally dropped a nuke on Theramore and sicked the heart of an Old God in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms). This means that unless Thrall's weakness portends to the Old Gods potentially losing their grasp for whatever reason, that it could potentially mean a different character entirely. Magni? Very distant maybe, though again he's had his own phrase so why two in a row? Farseer Nobundo? Who knows...
    "It's surface blazes bright, masking shadows below..." The sun could be an obvious factor here, but perhaps it's talking about light in general...perhaps even THE Light. After all, the Light has managed to mask shadows before - Archbishop Benedictus was a pious man up until Deathwing showed up and he turned to follow the Old Gods, and Bishop Farthing soon joined him in turn. Maybe there's a deeper plot involving the Light that could wind up changing everything if our heroes aren't careful enough...
    "To find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars..." This one I can't figure out. Drown yourself? Maybe a plot regarding the depths of the ocean, perhaps even N'Zoth. Circle of stars? Could it be a Naaru, since they're from distant stars? I am not sure...
    "Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path." Obviously the Pillars of Creation. The torch reference could refer to the Burning Legion. Given that Illidan just managed to open a massive portal to Argus that may well encompass much of the Broken Shore's skyline, those pillars are going to need to be working overtime to close them up. If that doesn't cause the planet to melt and wake up the Old Gods then nothing will.
    "Flesh is his gift. He is your true creator." Obviously Yogg-Saron and the Curse of Flesh.
    "The Lord of Ravens will turn the key..." This is in reference to either Khadgar (obviously) or maybe even Medivh. Good old Medivh has been missing in action for a while, since at least the Third War, so even though Khadgar has his stuff and his place of residence there's still a chance that the good prophet is still alive and kicking around somewhere in Azeroth. It would prove interesting if he became a villain once again the moment Sargeras is dead and the Old Gods decide to make him a pawn instead.
    "A presence. Something new, yet familiar. Yes." Considering the only other line I can think of with this one involves the Warrior Artifact quest to acquire Stromkar, perhaps this is in reference to the Titan Keeper, Tyr, who has been missing in action since before even Arathor was a thing.
    "Your coming was foretold in the rings. The long circle is nearly complete." This is another one I am clueless about. Rings aren't really a common theme in WarCraft from what I remember. If he said Discs that would be a different story.
    "Aargh! What pointless impudence! We share a master!" An interesting thing to note. Perhaps it suggests that there's some greater plot going on with the Old Gods than previously thought, perhaps some greater control behind the scenes. The next Old God expansion is going to be interesting.

    With the info from this boss fight and others, I'm pretty sure I know what's going on here. The Boy King is referring to Anduin, as for him "Serving at the Master's Table", that may be a reference to him consorting with the Old Gods. The Old God in question here is most certainly N'zoth, because of all the references to Ny'alotha, as well as him (it?) being the last one alive. The five keys are the Pillars of Creation, and my theory on that is that they will allow us to banish the legion, but in doing so, N'zoth's prison will weaken. "At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming" That refers to Sylvanas. I don't think that she is working with the Old Gods, but she will certainly be involved. The King of Diamonds refers to Magni. I believe that due to his unusual connection with the earth, he has been corrupted and/ or driven mad by the Old Gods, not unlike Deathwing. 'Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." I believe that this is a mention to Jaina Proudmoore. She's not been heard from since Dalaran, and it hasn't been a great couple of years for her before that. She will definitely turn to N'zoth for power. That's some of what I think is coming for the next expansion. Thoughts?

    Theory time including other information from other sources like the comics:
    Anduin - The boy king will offer us 3 choices what they are probably will depend on the events at the time all I know is from the comic of him that is free.
    Her heart is a crater - Could point to either jaina or azeroth the titan spirit that has had to deal with the imprisoned old gods, remember a lot has happend to her with influences of the old gods. Deathwing and magni are the ones who have been closest to azeroth one being the protector and one using an old titan ritual to communicate with the titan spirit, deathwing went mad and got corrupted what about magni? in time we will see. As for jaina she had a love for peace and now she hates the horde pretty much so you can expect as much as well as reading her novel(Her cover is her drowning).
    Sylvanas - In the game has been trying to procure valkyr to make herself and her horde unkillable to a degree to face the legion and to save the horde she is also afraid of death because pain and darkness is all that is left for her, she has also died several times and has been resurected.
    The old gods - Having been imprisoned and they probably have been drawing power from the possibly most powerful titan in our universe azeroth making it their own. On the surface the fragments of light us and the naaru as well as other powerful beings live but down below lies only mad things (nyalotha, azshara, old gods etc).
    To find n'zoth - We must drown ourselves in the circle of stars maybe with the upcoming suramar raid we will understand that meaning better. I would assume the nightwell a font of immense titan power that has a purple and white glow would be the stars to drown ourselves but that is speculation(purple is a color found in the cosmos as well as related to the arcane and old gods the nightborne have purple skin and glowing white eyes almost otherwordly looking, the nightwell itself is similar to the sunwell and well of eternity which if you recall sargeras tried to use to enter our world could it be used by an old god or to get to the old gods?).
    The pillars of creation - The 5 we collected are the keys to opening the prison to free the old gods. The lord of ravens which there are only 2 medivh and he is "dead" as well as khadgar who assumes the raven form and holds ateish will move the events along unknowingly and perhaps in thinking he has sealed the burning legions advance will open a gateway for the old gods to come out from their prison thus continuing our fight until we finally face the void lords themselves. (look to anduins free comic I won't spoil it but it is very good and interactive it gives us clues to the future).
    Last thing is pretty much a *spoiler* we will end up going to space based off velen repairing the exodar and we will be traveling to argus after that maybe into the dark beyond where the army of light fights and the fragments of the light the naaru reside but that is also just a theory.

    “The king of diamonds has been made a pawn.” Is referring to Magni Bronzebeard. It makes me wonder. What if Magni isn’t speaking for Azeroth but is instead speaking for a much much darker force than N’zoth. Think of it Magni wanted to keep the Chamber of the Heart in BFA from N’zoth.

  • @amburgerzz

    at the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming. Could be referring to sylvanas dying a third time since she was raised by the litch king once, and then threw herself from the top of ice crown citadel only to be brought back by the valkyr.
    seems like getting named war-chief of the horde is a as good of a death sentence there is these days.

    • @deco7039
      @deco7039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sylvanas has already died three times. Once when Arthas killed her and turned her into a banshee, then again after Arthas dies she commits suicide by throwing herself from the top of ICC, and lastly she dies during a quest in Silverpine, I think it was.

    • @amburgerzz
      @amburgerzz 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Deco Sylvanas cant truly be killed because of the pact she made with the valkyr in icecrown citadel. She is bound to exist so long as the valkyr do. My guess is maybe something happens to the valkyr in the halls of valor? i don't know. Just speculation.

    • @deco7039
      @deco7039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am aware, but my point is, she has already died three times, whether she can truly be killed is irrelevant considering the same can be said of anyone that this "prophecy" is about. How else would they be able to die three times? There's another theory that I find more likely and that is Elisande in the Nighthold. There are, apparently, mechanics that cause her to reverse time twice when she dies until the third time when she dies for good. Not saying you are wrong, just saying that it's not likely to be Sylvanas.

    The boy king, obviously Anduin.
    "Her heart is a crater and we have filled it" Jaina?
    "King of Diamonds" Magni, though Azeroth truly contains a titan spirit, was it really a titan he heard or the whispers of the old god.
    "At the hour of her third death, she ushers in our coming" Has to be Sylvanas, First death by Arthas, Second death on top of Lich King throne, she committed suicide there, only to be thrown into limbo and exchanged places in limbo with the Val'kyr. for the ones that dont believe this you can read it in
    meaning a third possible dead might be awaiting her.
    EDIT: Since she died 3 times already one i forgot was b godfrey. Unless they are counting her deaths after she became banshee queen
    "Five keys to open our way.." Pillars of creation, Eye of Aman' thul which will be available in new Suramar story.. though the place where you put the Pilars of Creation has six pedestals, if five are meant to open a gateway, what purpose does the sixth serve, if theres a six. Or is not a pillar of creation and just was assumed to be one such as Tears of Elune since you basically carry it with you (unless its a bugged it stayed in your bag) or the Eye of Aman'thul meaning the real fifth one is still lost somehwere possibly found after the Suramar raid.
    If Magni is truly being duped by the Old gods/N'Zoth then these truly might be the keys to the gateway since he told us about it(not saying he's corrupted but mainly being played for a fool)
    "Flesh is his gift, he is your true creator" Yogg-Saron, as far as its been told and explained in Wow chronicle vol 1: he instigated the curse of flesh, so the wording "True creator" would refer to him being our creators/species since the creators of flesh are due to his being. Or is he reffering to N'zoth since he seem to serve N'zoth. That somehow he is made Yogg-Saron think he was acting on his own will to create the curse of flesh. The Xal'altath blade is all that remain of a forgotten unknown old god who was devoured by his own kind. So could mean that they can influence one another. (also an old god dying does not mean Azeroth destruction. Ripping them out like Aman'thul did with Y'shaarj, that would result Azeroth destruction)
    "Lord of ravens" Khadgar obviously.
    "A presence, something new, yet familiar" Blade of Xal'atath? i mean its all that remains of an unknown dead forgotten old god. but since its in a new form it would explain why its new and familiar or perhaps combined with the priest power it makes it for something new. Any shadow priest that goes there, keep an eye out to see if it procs with you being there.
    "Your coming has been foretold in the rings" At a lost here, perhaps Yogg-Saron? since he had those visions of past and future?
    The rest just seems to be taunts and telling us the end is coming.
    The "we serve a master" i know he serves N'Zoth but something tells me we're not done with Yogg-Saron.
    "Ny'alotha" the sunken city, the drowned city, city of the old gods, easily the remainder of what could/use to be the Black Empire.
    anyhow love these whispers

    • @deco7039
      @deco7039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      'though the place where you put the Pilars of Creation has six pedestals,
      if five are meant to open a gateway, what purpose does the sixth serve,
      if theres a six' I have been wondering about this myself since Beta. The Lord of Ravens could also refer to a few others. The line about the new yet familiar presence I think is most likely N'zoth himself since we have fought Old Gods before he would be familiar but since we have never faced him before it would be new. The boy king I definitely think is Anduin but I'm hearing and reading about other theories that seem plausible. The crater I do think is Jaina but it could also mean Azeroth herself since the maelstrom is exactly that, a crater that is referred to as Azeroth's heart, I do believe. There's a theory going around about the 'hour of her third death' suggesting Elisande in Nighthold because I guess she uses some kind of ability to reverse time twice to escape death and then we kill her after she uses it the second time.
      Overall, I'm with you on this, and I hope you're right about Yogg, he needs to make a reappearance.

    • @iamkhronos1041
      @iamkhronos1041 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I heard the theory about azeroth as well which could be very true and Elisande as well. Lord of Raven if not Khadgar it could be ravencrest. But it's funny how Khadgar during quest you get when choosing a zone he specifically talks about enjoying the raven form. The line of N'zoth new presence could be true but since its his servent says it i think hes referring to something else and yes Yogg definitely could make a reappearance

    • @deco7039
      @deco7039 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It could also mean Medivh since it's Atiesh that allows Khadgar to become the raven as it allowed Medivh, though I don't think that is likely but he does make his reappearance in a week. Have also seen theories suggesting Odyn is the Lord of Ravens due to Norse mythology regarding Odin but I don't know much about that particular subject. When Il'gynoth talks to us about the new presence it could be a taunt saying "I know who it is but you don't, not yet." sort of thing. It's all speculation at this point but it is fun to speculate :)

    K so let's try to unpack this:
    The boy-king...: K obviously Anduin, waiting to see what the lies could be.
    Her heart is a crater...: Jaina is under the influence of the Old Gods, I hoped they wouldn't use this as a copout for their shit writing of her character over the years, but it's better than nothing.
    King of diamonds...: Magni is being played, I don't know too much about his story right now, I should look into it. But this could imply that the Azeroth titan is already corrupted or that he's been communicating with the old gods instead of her. You tell me which is worse.
    At the hour of her third death...: FUCKING YES! SYLVANAS WILL DIE AGAIN! WOOOO!
    From the earth...: K obviously Neltharion.
    Its surface blazes...: I had no idea what this was but someone mentioned the new Naaru in the comments so that could be it.
    To find him, drown yourself in the circle of stars: I have no idea what this is. Circle of stars could be anything but the drowning bit... Algalon? Something else in Ulduar? Or is it that one easter egg in Tirisfall with the circle and the Faerie dragons. If it is the latter holy SHIT would that be cool.
    Five keys...: They can't possibly mean that the old gods on Azeroth all need to die for a bunch more to appear... I mean we dealt with C'thun and Yogg'Saron, Y'shaarj has been dealt with eons ago so that leaves only N'zoth and G'huun. We're gonna be dealing with G'huun in Zandalar by the looks of it and Kul Tiras might see us up against N'zoth. It all falls into place a bit too conveniently but holy shit if this entire expansion is only a setup for the old god expac... the Azerite, the pointless war, the old god influences in Zandalar and Kul Tiras... It could actually be legitimately epic.
    Flesh is his gift...: OK this line is actually kinda underwhelming upon closer inspection. It just seems like he's going "Oh Yogg'Saron made the curse of flesh which you are a victim of, it's a gift, stop resisting, generic "the villain is the good guy speech". Course I could be wrong and it could be a completely third entity he's talking about but I don't think so and that's sad.
    The lord of Ravens...: I was gonna say Medivh but then I remembered Khadgar is now basically Medivh. Does that mean he will kill Sylvanas? Hm, we have no word on what he's going to do in BfA, let's wait and see. (Also I just googled him and his status is active, the fuck you at bro? If we ever needed a prophet to come and tell the leaders to knock it off it's now.)
    A presence...: I have no clue what this means. I'm guessing they will spin it as some old character/concept with new relevance/status. Maybe Jaina will snap out of it and revert back to WCIII Jaina where she was a decent human being? A guy can only dream...
    Your coming was foretold...: Might be talking to the player but that would be complete bullshit. Then again WoW's story has been going down a singleplayer-y path for years now. The long circle and ring line gets me however... There is some significance behind it I just don't know what. Could be some titanic creations like the Discs of Norgannon. This one's gonna kill me. And the long circle being complete, perhaps they were planning to reestablish the black empire again and they refer to it as a circle cause they believe it's inevitable, and the empire should be the default state of the world? Let's hope it's hubris...
    And the rest is fluff. Also I found out some of the lines happen when you enter the fight. A bit of a disappointment but meh you can't win em all.
    The Old Gods and how they were handled were always one of my favorite things cause the stuff they say and how they act makes them seem like they are so much more than we can even begin to comprehend. Let's hope they don't ruin it when the time comes. After all this is the "morally gray" era of Blizzard's writing.
    Also I don't expect anyone to read this but if you do, thank you and tell me what you think. It's rare I get to speculate about something that, if I may be so bold to say, I know my shit around.
