I think N'Zoth (or at least what he does: driving people insane) is the strongest and greatest threat that could ever be. He existed a hero, and died an useless, weak villain.

Me and my old guild before I lefted wow we had struggs with nzoth on normal difficult we won on almost 12 am while It was an school week most of the people of the raid gived up but I didn't gived up with few other people we finally beated nozth than I went straight asleep
The Void should be something that players should be able to follow or pursue in the game. The Light only sees one way. Example: Illidan in Legions. The Void sees countless ways, giving you the choice of choosing. "Your eyes are opened" to the possibilities, now choose. N'Zoth, my beloved Corruptor, you better use that damn blade to survive. You better not have died to that Goku Spirit Bomb bullshit.

You get to keep the Gift of N'zoth after the raid (there's even special NPCs with dialogue about his defeat), and a new title "Servant of N'zoth" that you get from the Unseen Presence (N'zoth) to prove your loyalty to him by killing ten players of your own faction. So you can theoretically stay loyal to N'zoth but you still have to kill him in the raid.
Darin DePaul plays such interesting evil characters with this voice. Emperor Valkorion from Star Wars: The Old Republic is another character thats voiced by him and sounds very similar.
"save" is up for debate. Given as it seems right now N'Zoth is still no different than the other old gods and by that nothing but a minion of the void lords without any deeper lore that could give him a twist (i would have so loved it if N'Zoth over the time had came to view us as his children (given he made so many races mortals and sentinel to begin with like the Humans, dwarfs and gnomes) and had decided to turn against the Void Lords and even wage war against the Light in the name of his children (as the Light is in no way different than the void. Both corrupting forces). But in the very least he is not an ally of Sylvanas. Sylvanas wants death and the void lords dont want to kill, they want to corrupt and they cant corrupt what is dead or undead (a reason why Arthas was a thorn in their eyes).
Has nothing to do with Bwonsamdi, it's the voice lines from the Azshara Warbringer video where N'zoth is talking in his fish form, he has a different voice.
I think Blizz did an amazing on all the old gods, C'Thune spooky...Yogg mysterious, Y'Shraaj powerful (him being dead and his heart able to cause a lot of destruction as is) & N'zoth being a mixture of all other 3..hell a FRAGMENT of him (Il'gynoth) was very powerful and a personal favorite of mine..plus the voices are amazing! Hell, look at the Lich King, as Arthas it was disgustingly badass..even as Bolvar!
I actually REALLY like the Ny'alotha raid. If N'zoth wasn't an old god it would be a PERFECT Raid. the "n'zoth the corruptor" raid boss should have just been a fucking servant of the old god.
I honestly don't think nzoth is dead for good, we saw what he did with wrathion at the beginning of the raid so perhaps the entire thing was a vision. Even if it wasn't he may have been reoroginated, what that could mean for an old god I'm not exactly sure but it could lead to some interesting lore
"His crown will open the way"... Did N'Zoth just predict Shadowlands? I start to believe he let Xal'atath leave, so he could hide inside the dagger once they made physical contact in Ny'alotha, leaving just a puppet behind to convince us that we had won over him, while he safely hid away in the dagger that nobody retrieved or mentioned since the explosion. Now he waits for shadowlands to play out one way or another. At least that would make a bit more sense for the master of cunning that he supposedly was than his canonical ending (for now).
Xal'atath also thanks us for gaining entry into the Seat of the Pantheon during the Antorus fight. One more victory for the Void - ultimately every access point to Azeroth.

From the past and as some TH-camrs covered it, old gods speak in half truths. So it can be taken seriously, but at the same time can't be taken seriously.
He is trying to corrupt the player. Saying basically "They" meaning people of Azeroth. What is coming is his black empire and a herald is an official messenger. So in short he is trying to covert the player into a messenger of the black empires' rise.
Considering that N'Zoth can see the future, one could believe that he knew he would be "defeated", and it might have been a part of some bigger plan. If not blizzard will be wasting some good lore, why build a evil that can foresee the future, just to be defeated like that.

I think Blizz did an amazing on all the old gods, C'Thune spooky...Yogg mysterious, Y'Shraaj powerful (him being dead and his heart able to cause a lot of destruction as is) & N'zoth being a mixture of all other 3..hell a FRAGMENT of him (Il'gynoth) was very powerful and a personal favorite of mine..plus the voices are amazing! Hell, look at the Lich King, as Arthas it was disgustingly badass..even as Bolvar!

I actually REALLY like the Ny'alotha raid. If N'zoth wasn't an old god it would be a PERFECT Raid. the "n'zoth the corruptor" raid boss should have just been a fucking servant of the old god.

I honestly don't think nzoth is dead for good, we saw what he did with wrathion at the beginning of the raid so perhaps the entire thing was a vision. Even if it wasn't he may have been reoroginated, what that could mean for an old god I'm not exactly sure but it could lead to some interesting lore

"His crown will open the way"... Did N'Zoth just predict Shadowlands? I start to believe he let Xal'atath leave, so he could hide inside the dagger once they made physical contact in Ny'alotha, leaving just a puppet behind to convince us that we had won over him, while he safely hid away in the dagger that nobody retrieved or mentioned since the explosion. Now he waits for shadowlands to play out one way or another. At least that would make a bit more sense for the master of cunning that he supposedly was than his canonical ending (for now).
Xal'atath also thanks us for gaining entry into the Seat of the Pantheon during the Antorus fight. One more victory for the Void - ultimately every access point to Azeroth.

Hearing these again now with the current Dragonflight story and the whole timeways stuff, a lot of these quotes where he is talking directly to the player seem more prominent. Like he has always known us from thousands of years ago

@@3DTyrant I'm not sure but i remember hearing that the void lords are actually stronger then the titans, they just can't manifistate thats why they can't really put up a fight. Though the world of the Ethereals was destroyed by a vod lord that managed to manifistate, and based how the ethereals look now... well void lord are strong.

He tries to make your character in the game his herald, and the they in the situation is the rest of the raid group...I think
He is trying to corrupt the player. Saying basically "They" meaning people of Azeroth. What is coming is his black empire and a herald is an official messenger. So in short he is trying to covert the player into a messenger of the black empires' rise.
