The bombing of Theramore was justified in more ways than one. If you think you know better, poke me and I will school you on Garrosh's history and lore.
You need to consider that at least the Blood Elves and Goblins supported Garrosh in this. But to be honest, I think Malkorok was the prime mover behind this, even if it's not written anywhere. He pulled so many strings behind the scenes and Garrosh himself didn't seem like someone who would just throw a bomb somewhere, that's more Malkoroks style. He had much influence on Garrosh, that wily minx ;-)
except he did. Warcraft is all about conflict and no one race is perfect. Every race have their share of sins. Garrosh may be a "honorable warrior" to the horde but he is just outright brutal and lost his way
@@navyflyboy07 I did enjoy resurrecting him. I dont care if the horde and alliance hate me. My blood elf may technically be apart of the horde but that's just for gameplay reasons. Deathcoldan What about Germany's expansionism? Hitler clearly intended to expand to Reich and that was a legitimate geopolitical threat to other European nations, hence it was in their best interests to ally against him. A nation has the right to pursue it's own interests no?
I miss Garrosh so badly....😭 he was such a stalwart and powerful Orc, I just hope that Thrall suffers now, he killed one of my favorite characters ever! Lok'tar Ogar!
Sylvanas saved the horde. If she did not sound retreat all horde leaders would have been killed. It was the logical and right thing to do. Jaina is a hypocrite to complain about it because it was exactly what she did in Warcraft 3.
I had a rough and depressing week. So i remembered this and came back to it and INSTANTLY felt my pride come back.. it made me rethink what kind of man i am and what kind i WILL BECOME!!! all of my problems are trivial compaored to the strength and confidance a man has. THERE OS NOTHING I CANT GET THROUGH OR DO.the power flows through ALL MEN YOU JUST GOTTA TAP INTO IT.
He was a true soldier and a true leader just to be abandoned by the majority of the community and the writers. After that i couldnt take the Horde seriously
I love how you can hear Garrosh change throughout this, like he did throughout the game. It starts with honest concern for his people, his Horde. A sense of betrayal by Thralls abandonment of the Horde, and of Garrosh. This eventually drives him to commit more and more atrocities, in the pursuit of what he believed would be good for his people, and deem him worthy to carry the name Hellscream. With every step he took, every other member of the Horde took two steps away from him, until he stood alone, against the might of the Alliance, and the Horde. Then, Thrall returns, so full of self righteousness that its sickening. Was he not the one who handed the mantle to Garrosh? Going against the wishes of his advisors, and even needing to convince Garrosh he was ready, when he swore he wasnt? Then, after promising to return, he all but abandons the Horde, and Garrosh. Now he storms Orgrimmar, and vies to destroy Garrosh, claiming he failed the Horde, dishonored his father, and was not fit to be Warchief? No, Garrosh failed nobody but himself, Thrall on the other hand, failed Azeroth.
Caleb Crockett That changes nothing of what I said. Thrall did have to leave to stop the Cataclysm, that is not debated, but did he return to the Horde once it was over, as he promised? No, he didnt. I do not defend the actions of Garrosh, but I d believe he was trying to do what was right for his Horde. Vol'jin was nothing but confrontational to Garrosh from the start, even threatening Garrosh. Vol'jin walked the line of treason multiple times, but threatening a Warchief crossed it. He sought the power of the Old Gods as his father sought the power of Demon Blood. It was never going to be worth it, it would always cost far too much, but it cannot be argued that he did it for himself only. What was he to think at the end? All the other races of the Horde banded against him. The Horde may exist because of the Alliance, but Garrosh became what he was because of the Horde.
Yea thrall failed the horde he betrayed everyone he told them that garrosh droppes a bomb on a city while he wasnt there they blame garrosh on everything
We all know that is something Blizzard wouldn't have done, even tho, it fits those 2 characters perfectly, the proud alliance and horde npcs brawling against each other, but at las. Blizzard makes it shite like perusual.
That would have made the final patch make way more sense. Remove NZoth and replace it with a better SoO where the focus is preventing Garrosh from developing an Azerite weapon so destructive that it would put the mana-bomb to shame.
The only Warchief i still respect and come back to hear his speech and quotes, even though i stopped playing WOW after defeating him, he was one of the most content i enjoyed. /bow
Man...I really wanted to see Warchief Garrosh continue his legacy. He sure could've learned a lot. But Thrall left, Cairne challenged him, and Vol'jin wished him dead and Sylvana was walking the line between her and the lich king. I'm not suprised he prefeared not to trust anyone besides his people.
Garrosh was also unable to keep order in the horde under his new policies, and the best quality of a true leader is to inspire unity and calm. While I can agree Garrosh's story could have gone farther, he brashly betrayed his allies.
Kev Risky he didnt betrayed anyone thrall betrayed him he did a propaganda against him thinking that he Nikes a city that he never was there at that time fuck thrall
I always come to this video when I feel weak. The sound of Garrosh's words, with the music in the background, its enough to make you get back on your feet and remember your own strength and be emboldened by his.
Imagine if Garrosh gave this speech as part of an Alliance based raid in BFA where the horde has to talk with Garrosh to start the raid. Imagine the immersion the morale boost... too bad we can't stand side by side in the battlefield anymore... Bring back Garrosh... The best Warchief we ever had.... Lok'tar ogar
Garrosh _did_ do wrong, it's just that the writers sacrificed all of his developments in Cata and what future he could have had as a good and compelling character to make him do so in Mists.
why is this my 5th time in a row watching this and I'm still getting chills listening. Garrosh you truly were a great war chief, shame the writers and a talking green pickle did you wrong. Lok'tar Ogar! My warchief!
I think more people would like Garrosh if Blizzard had better represented the fact that Orgrimmar is in the middle of a dessert and the Orcs had a lack of food and resources.
***** Yes indeed, Ashenvale is next to it and they used to have a trade route with the elves until the Twilight Hammer ambushed the negotiations between the elves and the taurens, the night elves closed the trade with the orcs so Garrosh saw no others way than to take it by force.
Since your passing, the Horde has been headless. Your leadership is what drives me forward. Your spirit encourages me. You are the last Warchief for me. They have disgraced the Horde, making a traitor and a selfish bitch take your place. They are nothing compared against you. Some of us still uphold your legacy. Some of us still fight for Hellscream, and will die for your name. All hail the real WARCHIEF of the Horde! We will not retreat! We will not surrender! For Hellscream! For Garrosh! For the Horde! LOK'TAR OGAR!
Awesome comment dude. I think the way they handled Garrosh was incredibly stupid. I mean, he went from an admittedly brash and hot headed hero who actually cared deeply for the welfare of his people to basically just orc Hitler who's all but a cartoonish villain. Blizzard's writing team at their "best" I guess.
@@chubbyninja89 I think what's even worse is, we SAW what Garrosh could make the Horde, into an absolutely SCARY powerhouse, if the whole Horde united under Garrosh, we might be up to Draenor technology and actually be a threat to the space marine goats and death lasers.
@@zonolith5912 Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous. I just really hate how they butchered Garrosh's character arc. Like I said, they took him from a hotheaded hero of the Horde who cared for the welfare of his people, to just being an almost cartoonish orc Hitler who wanted to destroy the world. Though it's kind of Thrall's fault that Garrosh turned out the way he did, as Garrosh told Thrall that he was a warrior and not a diplomat, and that's why he didn't want to be Warchief. I just think the Blizzard writers shouldn't have been so biased and allowed the characters to be a bit more complex and such.
@@chubbyninja89 At the end of the day they needed a villain of the week and Garrosh was just it, you could argue that Garrosh was mean't to be what Varian would turn into without the positive influence, but that's bad because it paints everyone as either uncaring or incompetent as leaders. Or if you want to go on the other side of the argument, Blizzard themselves joked about how the main timeline Garrosh was the worst outcome and wasted potential. Like.. So you made a character, who had lots of potential, but then wasted them to fulfill a raid boss? Admittedly, it was a great raid boss, but after Garrosh we literally had Vol'jin who died an expansion later, Sylvanas, a Garrosh copy cat and now the council, which is an improvement, but why the hell couldn't Lor'thamar or Baine take up the reigns? Bad blizz writing.
War-Chief of the Warsong, First and Last axe of the Horde. Lost his wife and children to the Gorian Ogres... Anyone who loves their family would also sing the War-Song.
Indeed, they did a great job with Malkorok though (book version). He should have had more appearances in game since he was one of the main characters in Tides of War and maybe resposible for many things that happened... Perhaps Garrosh should have given him free rein, but Garrosh protected Baine and Vol'jin when Malkorok wanted to get them out the way.
Trashloot Yepp me too, I want to see him come back from this and no not a redemption scenario........ I want him to save his ppl from the demon blood and the " society " that Thrall made them turn into
Look guys I like*d* Garrosh , BUT I love trolls and undead and taurens too. Garrosh killed Cairne Bloodhoof (in a false way which HE HATED) I don't blame him for that but, He ordered the killing of Vol'jin and Sylvanus one of my top 10 WoW Characters (which are Ga'nar,Rexxar,Sargeras,Thrall,Sylvanus,Vol'jin,Illidan,Durotan,Ner'zhul,Gul'dan,Grommash Hellscream) and he said it , "I regret NOTHING, muhahahaha" and did many heinous crimes that I do not approve of (except the ones vs the alliance those are ok with me fuck the alliance) If garrosh had NOT done that, I would be team Garrosh all day
He was awesome ingeneral in Cata, actualy made you feel like you were playing Horde again, he wasnt entirely ruthless either like in MoP, he made you feel like you were playing the bad-guy but without staining your honour too much, just like the real horde prior to warcraft 3.
I know right? Remember when he killed Krom'gar? He was certainly a fierce warrior by all means, but he certainly had his limits and lines he wouldn't cross.
This guy was the perfect Warchief! The horde should never be ruled by weaklings that have no thirst for war, like Thrall. In Legion Sylvanas is going to become Warchief..She is a cool character but she will never be like Hellscream...The Horde should always be ruled by a massive orc warrior.
Honestly, I'm really happy that you like my tribute. I saw it has been shared on several websites and forums and I'm glad that it prompts the feelings that were intended. I don't think Blizzard did a good job with Garrosh - while playing and while reading Tides of War I always missed some depth of character. This tribute was intended to represent who and how Garrosh was meant to be, and I'm happy that I was able to share what I think about him, and perhaps present him in the proper light. For the Horde!
Blizzard did a good job at portraying Garrosh as the enemy. But King Wrynn and Garrosh are very much the same, they want the best for their people. Garrosh is just a bit more forward about it. Love the video Vishanka, brilliant work.
Blizzard made him an amazing character in my veiw. My problem was them making him seem like the bad guy instead of Vol'jin (Who technically is the traitor since Garrosh is the leader of the Horde) and they fucked us over with not being able to choose between the Kor'kron and the traitors. The Horde used to be weak. Garrosh brought its strength and pride back. Blizzard fucked him over by turning him into a raid boss.
I cry everytime I listen to this and I fully support the best Warchief the Horde ever had but Blizz took him into the wrong direction and needed a villain. Since most people hated him since Cata because they play My little Pony Friendship is Magic, they made him that candidate. Rip Garrosh, you will never be forgotten. You father would be proud of you.
I really do wish that Garrosh still led the Horde. That he was never turned into a villain. Imagine the Horde being unified under him, against the Alliance, in a true war. Not this idiotic conflict in BFA that has the Horde more split and fractured than ever. I just wish we still had a good Warchief, not a villain-batted Sylvanas. At least I can level alts through WotLK and Cata and see what could have been the greatest Warchief Azeroth had ever seen. Before his character was wasted. RIP Garrosh Hellscream.
Garrosh is the second Illidan. He tried only to help his people, but got kicked out because of his own Ambition."I won't let MY people starve to death in the desert. I will stop at nothing - NOTHING - to ensure a proud and glorious future for the orcs and anyone with the courage to stand with us." When Vol´jin turned against him with his Darkspear Rebellion of course he saw them as the afraid, pitiful races that they are. He wasn´t prepared for Vol´jins move and he was even more disappointed when he saw Thrall and even Saurfang joining them. "You are an orc no longer, and speak for none but yourself. You betrayed our people to forge your fragile alliances," Fragile indeed. Vol´jin wanted only to save his people and the Horde from loosing what they are. But instead of challenging Garrosh to a Mok´gora-Duell, like he did with Thrall and like Cairne did with him, Vol´jin chooses to lead an Army of his own people against him AND lead the Aliance into Orgrimmar. After this Garrosh thought he could only trust his fellow orcs and took offensive to that in Pandaria."They are no longer part of MY Horde!" When Garrosh bombed Theramore the Horde was dishonored by that? But there is a difference between what he said in Stonetalon and what he did with Theramore. In Stonetalon, Krom´gar bombed Tal´darah Grove an"ancient tree which has been a place of peace and learning for generations and has been used by both the night elves and tauren." Civilians and childs lived there so Garrosh killed him for that. In MoP Garrosh bombs Theramore Isle, an Alliance military base on the Lands of the Tauren. Garrosh wanted to protect his Horde with this actions. No, not the Horde alone, the Tauren people whom you think he doesn´t want in his Horde, because he´s an racist? He killed Krom´gar for killing Tauren Druids who lived in piece with the night elves there, while in Theramore he destroyed an Aliance army, ready to march into the Barrens. He always wanted the best for his people in his actions until he was betrayed by them. And even after that he would have still protected "those who have the courage to stand with him." I´m a Tauren ingame and I was sad when Cairne died but when Garrosh found out his axe was poisoned by magatha grimtotem for his duell with cairne, he send her a letter with best regards for a slow and painful death which shows that he took the fight with cairne very seriously. IMO: The son of Grom was worthy of a place as Warchief, Succesor to Thrall and Slayer of the Alliance but instead he got betrayed by those he wanted to protect and almost killed by his Idol. Just like Ilidan he has to do anything on his own from now on or he will meet his Akama(maybe a certain Warlord of Dreanor we know?). However there will never be another Warchief like Hellscream the Younger. I would´ve died for him in Orgrimmar. Lok´tar Ogar! For the Horde! Sry for my shitty English.
And take my like as well, brother. Lok'tar ogar. People fail to see this, but Garrosh was doing what was needed for the Horde to survive. To be strong enough to withstand their enemies. To claim what was rightfully ours.
And mine aswell!, the one ive wondered about is the events after the Siege...i mean lets say not all the orcs that were on Garrosh's side died that day or and to be knownest I find it weird that we dident see a "hero/heroes of the horde" type boss because if we had a choice iam sure many players would have gladly fought on Garrosh's side. Its sad really because when Isle of the Thunderking came out and I saw the Blood Elves trying to find relics for the Horde I hoped Blizz would put it ingame showing the playerbase that not all the Horde races hate Garrosh and that he respects them because they are doing what is needed to make the Horde strong. If it were possible ingame I would have gladly had my char not only help fight in the Siege on Garrosh's side but help him break out and go to Draenor.
"With this character's death, the thread of prophecy is severed. Restore a saved game to restore the weave of fate, or persist in the doomed world you have created"
Garrosh was/is what every strong society needs. He was right about the fragile alliances; they always fall apart, so why put off the inevitable. He is the leader we need, but maybe not what we want.
It's fucked up because it was his destiny to save Azeroth from the legion. It was shown to him by Wraithion and that Bronze dragon personally. They showed him what was going to happen and put it into his head he was literally the only one who could stop it. So hearing him lament about how he failed was truly sad indeed. Even his surrogate father, Thrall hated him for what he HAD to do and he was executed like a dog. It's not fair.
I love this video Garrosh is my favorite wow character of all time! Hope he comes back in someway if not i hope his daddy pulls through and i can cheer for him at least.
If it wasn't what the world, those he was supposed to be able to trust, his own friend Thrall basically thrusting him into a position that he had no business being a part of, Garrosh was an amazing character, one who fought for what he believed in and would do anything to defend his people. Blizzard may portray that his downfall was because of himself, but the real depth of his character was when you look really closely, you realize the people who were supposed to be there for him were just as responsible as he was. One of the only, truly, deep characters that Warcraft made.
By far my favourite orc in the history of warcraft. And coming second in my favourite lore characters before Arthas, truly a warchief that deserved a better death and honestly I think should have not been killed especially the way he was as thrall even cheated at the challenge he gave Garrosh. What he says to thrall I think should be haunting thrall for the rest of his life, but we'll we all know blizzard. ...let's put Grommash there to replace him even though he started the iron horde. Not saying grom is bad but that was such a chappy ending to wod. Rip Garrosh Loktar'ogar, the best warchief the Horde will ever have the pleasure to serve under.

Garrosh did nothing wrong.
He was at war with the alliance, it wasnt if he just randomly was like hey lets nuke a city, no he was at war with the alliance for months years even
Manahan You are so right. And what honor is there in just dropping a bomb?
except he did. Warcraft is all about conflict and no one race is perfect. Every race have their share of sins. Garrosh may be a "honorable warrior" to the horde but he is just outright brutal and lost his way
Garrosh should have found redemption fighting the Legion on behalf of his father. But instead, we got green jesus fanwank for Metzen.
play a Death Knight, we resurrect NAZGRIM as a HORSEMAN!! :D (good consolation prize if ya ask me)
@@navyflyboy07 I did enjoy resurrecting him. I dont care if the horde and alliance hate me. My blood elf may technically be apart of the horde but that's just for gameplay reasons. His true faction and true allegiance is to the Ebon Blade. If I could resurrect Garrosh and allow him the chance at life again I would but then I think about it and remember, he wouldnt want that. Sure I love sylvanas but garrosh is also a favorite warchief of mine.
Garrosh could have been the next broxigar if he was there, I like the idea of the ebon blade making him a dk, a potential second chance

Still a more honorable death, no? (To die to Garrosh, that is).
Sylvanas saved the horde. If she did not sound retreat all horde leaders would have been killed. It was the logical and right thing to do. Jaina is a hypocrite to complain about it because it was exactly what she did in Warcraft 3.
Garrosh wouldn't have let Harambe die like that.

@@warcrimeenjoyer881 100% true
True
When he says "Every choice I made, I would proudly make again!"
I can't help but think of the Goofy meme: "I'll fucken do it again!" 🤣

Imagine BFA with Garrosh and Varian as main protagonists... cinematics with them fighting...
10 times better than current
Kev Risky his allies betrayed him
Kev Risky he didnt betrayed anyone thrall betrayed him he did a propaganda against him thinking that he Nikes a city that he never was there at that time fuck thrall

If they gave us the option i would've stayed loyal and fought till death with him
I think more people would like Garrosh if Blizzard had better represented the fact that Orgrimmar is in the middle of a dessert and the Orcs had a lack of food and resources.
TenecoGaming no not in the middle of a desert they had ashenvale.. thats where they got their resources from.
***** Yes indeed, Ashenvale is next to it and they used to have a trade route with the elves until the Twilight Hammer ambushed the negotiations between the elves and the taurens, the night elves closed the trade with the orcs so Garrosh saw no others way than to take it by force.
And thus on that day our beloved chieftain Cairne died.
Teneco well it's the hordes lands now!
Garrosh:....in their weakness. They allowed the pitiful races of Azeroth to join the Horde.... Im looking at Vulperas joining the "Horde"
Nail in the coffin right there. I haven't played WoW since 2017, but now there's 0 chance i'll play it again.

@@zonolith5912
Yeah, it's kind of ridiculous.
I love Garrosh so much. Such a good character that pretty much got fucked over by the writers.
He is truly a warchief. I wish we could follow him to draenor and fight beside him :D
Trashloot Yepp me too, I want to see him come back from this and no not a redemption scenario........ I want him to save his ppl from the demon blood and the " society " that Thrall made them turn into
They did a great job explaining everything that Garrosh did in War Crimes in a oh shit way :D.
Look guys I like*d* Garrosh , BUT
I love trolls and undead and taurens too.
Garrosh killed Cairne Bloodhoof (in a false way which HE HATED) I don't blame him for that but, He ordered the killing of Vol'jin and Sylvanus one of my top 10 WoW Characters (which are Ga'nar,Rexxar,Sargeras,Thrall,Sylvanus,Vol'jin,Illidan,Durotan,Ner'zhul,Gul'dan,Grommash Hellscream)
and he said it , "I regret NOTHING, muhahahaha" and did many heinous crimes that I do not approve of (except the ones vs the alliance those are ok with me fuck the alliance)
If garrosh had NOT done that, I would be team Garrosh all day
Thrall? Voljin? Sylvannas? The Horde Council? I know no Warchief whose name doesn't end in Hellscream
I love this video so much, and I'm not sure why. I don't even have WoW but the way you composed all this is perfect. Thanks! :3
Blizzard did a good job at portraying Garrosh as the enemy. But King Wrynn and Garrosh are very much the same, they want the best for their people. Garrosh is just a bit more forward about it. Love the video Vishanka, brilliant work.
This is amazing
Blizzard made him an amazing character in my veiw. My problem was them making him seem like the bad guy instead of Vol'jin (Who technically is the traitor since Garrosh is the leader of the Horde) and they fucked us over with not being able to choose between the Kor'kron and the traitors. The Horde used to be weak. Garrosh brought its strength and pride back. Blizzard fucked him over by turning him into a raid boss.
I agree with almost everything u said Mark

Long live Garrosh, the horde is nothing without you…
He says that a true warrior fights with honor never fear never retreating never betraying helping poeple and doing the good
Garrosh is the second Illidan.
Take my like :-) Well spoken.
ShasOKain Garrosh is hero , aswell , as Grom was .

Varian and Garrosh were the best leaders for each faction. Garrosh was put in a lose lose situation when he became leader
Who is back here after the Sanctum of domination cinematic?
I miss my True Warchief
It's fucked up because it was his destiny to save Azeroth from the legion. It was shown to him by Wraithion and that Bronze dragon personally. They showed him what was going to happen and put it into his head he was literally the only one who could stop it. So hearing him lament about how he failed was truly sad indeed. Even his surrogate father, Thrall hated him for what he HAD to do and he was executed like a dog. It's not fair.
I love this video Garrosh is my favorite wow character of all time! Hope he comes back in someway if not i hope his daddy pulls through and i can cheer for him at least.
Good old times, everything was perfect 10 years ago... Even real world.
Fake, the best moment in warcraft history was after the second war where we had orcs as slaves, where they should forever be
Never thought i would miss Garrosh this much.
It still hurts
If it wasn't what the world, those he was supposed to be able to trust, his own friend Thrall basically thrusting him into a position that he had no business being a part of, Garrosh was an amazing character, one who fought for what he believed in and would do anything to defend his people.
Blizzard may portray that his downfall was because of himself, but the real depth of his character was when you look really closely, you realize the people who were supposed to be there for him were just as responsible as he was.
