This is a great tutorial!! Thank you so much for the brilliant idea to use dried flower stems, just simply genius!! Wishing you all the best 🌺
“Garden Therapy” is an amazing channel name, i love it ❤
Really appreciate this! Cannot tolerate synthetic fragrances, love this alternative.
This video was just what I was looking for: simple, easy to do, down-to-earth. Is that close to a pun for Garden Therapy. Really liked Stephanie Rose’s natural approach and style.First time to subscribe to TH-cam.
Thank you so much!
I love how you used things from your garden. I'm inspired to go to my backyard and find some sticks and find and reuse an old glass bottle from my used moisturizer bottles or makeup for this project. Cheers!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Just clicked the like button and subscribed - looking forward to more great content from your channel!
You are gorgeous and made the video i was looking for, Thanks for the Video!!!
Thanks!! So helpful
Love this video! Can’t wait to go try it :)
Hope you like it!
Great tutorial! Thank you!💟
You are so welcome!
Is it ok to use Avocado or Peanut Oil? Thanks for posting!
Can oil plug the pores of the sticks? I though the base must have some liquids with essential oils but without extra carrier oils.
Hi...im not allowed to use alcohol , so what can i use instead
Thank you for the hint with the sticks! I've been looking through some videos on the same topic. I haven't figured out yet why I need to add alcohol if I'm mixing oil wit oil. I'm also wondering what will be left over once the liquid parts of the oil are evaporated? Why would I not use water, essential oil and a bit of alcohol for "binding" instead of an oil based one? Thanks!
Thanks Katherine, do you know if Rosemary stems would work?
Do you think weeping willow sticks would work?
can I use skewers instead of reed? I don't know where to find it
Can i use sunflower oil as a base oil?
Hi can I use ceramic instead of glass as well?:)
Yep
Yes you can!
Can I use coconut oil?
Yes
is it normal if the essential oil doesnt mixed well with the carrier oil??
I like!
You are so lovely! Great ideas!
Thank you so much!
Can you leave the flowers on and make a Dried Flower Diffuser?
If you’re only planning on using it for a few days before refilling it and using new sticks, yes that should be fine. But long term you run the risk of the flower molding so I wouldn’t advise it.
Do we dispose all the Remaining oil after 1 month ?
I check it to see how it smells. If it is still pretty fresh, then I would add more essential oils. If it has gone bad, then dispose of it, yes.
Instead of using essential oil, can i use fragrance oil ??
I don't, because I don't like artificial fragrance. You are more than welcome to sub it into this recipe if you don't mind it though.
@@GardenTherapyVideo okay. Thank you
Do you ever use soluberol and water for reed diffuser?
I have not.
Fantastic video; thank you so much. You explain everything so well! 🙏🏻😌 Hope you don’t mind me asking, but can you also use rose stems? Would that perhaps work, too? Many sincere thanks!! ❤
Hi Katherine, Thank you! You could try it and see if they are light enough to diffuse the oils. The stems need to be quite porous. Give it a try and please let us know!
@@GardenTherapyVideo Right on & thanks!! So, I tried with the rose stems, and tbh, they didn’t work very well. So I ordered some reeds online & those work better. Gratitude* 🙏🏻
Can I use baby oil?
Hi, I would not use mineral (petroleum based) oil for this. Use another carrier oil like the ones suggested.
Tried this with 2 different types of dried stems, didn't work at all.
Hello can I use Mineral oil?
I wouldn't use mineral oil as it is a byproduct of petroleum.
Can i use bamboo sticks?
I find them a bit too hard to absorb the oil myself. I would use a softer wood.
❤
I love this idea Stephanie. Do you know if dried lavender stems with the flowers still on would work? Or even for example the dried allium stems behind you? I would like the idea of some dried flowers left on the stems.
Hi Debra, What great ideas! Try them and see how they transfer the oils and scent. I found that the light and porous stems of daylily, echinacea, and poppies worked. Particularly the giant oriental poppies - they have great stems. Lavender may be a bit woody and thin, but I think the allium could be a good one to try. It can't hurt to add some lavender stems though, they will have their own fragrance.
I was wondering the exact same thing. I love the idea of using stems as the reeds!
❤❤❤❤
Hi, beautiful video, loved it, Can you please tell other options to using alcohol, because we have kids and do not want them to expose them to the alcohol.
Itu batang kayu apa ya mom?
Where did you get the funnel to put in your glass bottle; for pouring?
Aliexpress
It came from a dollar store. :)
very nice video. my interest in reed diffusers began when i saw some at the store today. how long do they typically last?
It depends on how big the jars are and how much you make, but mine last for a few months then I make them again.
do you reuse reeds
I don't, I use fresh ones each time.
