@@leecox6241 "Now That I've Got You" is a song from the band's last LP album called "Love and Conversation". It's a beautiful song, no doubt, and Danny's voice is amazing on it. There are two different recordings of this song, one in single format and the one on the LP. Both are beautiful.
@@citizenseventies6738 No doubt, but most importantly, talented, always reserved and never a showy frontman, I think the more laid-back and reserved attitude of the three on stage didn't help the band's media fame, which might have given them more chances of commercial success, but they prioritized making good music over being a media sensation.
@oliver-vl4lk I believe his voice and talent as a songwriter and guitarist led him to success in the rock world. Although he was undoubtedly attractive, over 80% of the people who loved his songs and bought his records didn't know what he looked like physically; they fell in love with his voice and, in the case of 'Fallin' in Love', his compositions. I myself fell for his voice and music before knowing what he looked like. His beauty was notable, but he also had a special energy or sparkle that radiated to those around him. Moreover, his exceptional musical talent was admired by all the musicians who knew and worked with him, and his humble attitude. His simple and understated style also kept him from becoming a media heartthrob, despite having all the qualities to be one. At heart, he was a true musician who only loved making music, not a showman or celebrity obsessed with his image.

@@Mila-wc4yb gracias por comentar, El destino quiso que Danny fuera eternamente joven y talentoso, sus melodías y hermosa voz seguirán resonando en nuestros corazones 💕🎶
Thank you for taking the time to put this together. I had not thought about these songs for decades until around December 2023 and I must have seen a video on TH-cam and listened to it. This really brings back good memories, so again, thank you.
I am so glad you posted this. Dan Hamilton had such a distinctive and beautiful voice. I read the book about Hamilton, Joe Frank & Reynolds written by Robert Reynolds released in 2016. What I found reading it is the chapters post Playboy records are sketchy and short, and it appears to me that the group just fell off the face of the earth post 1976. They didn't perform or record much after that. Too bad their career ended so abruptly.
@@alanfarber3831 Thank you for commenting. Without a doubt, Danny had an amazing talent, but for some reason, the band's luck was never long-lasting. First, the shock of Tommy Reynolds' departure from the band, which was very surprising for Danny and Joe Frank, but they were never great businessmen, they were friends, and what a friend wanted was respected, even if they were the ones most directly harmed. On the other hand, after achieving the contract with Playboy and seeing a brighter future, everything suddenly became dark when Playboy stopped paying royalties and eventually claimed bankruptcy (probably due to internal maneuvers by Hugh Hefner). Danny and Joe Frank always fought to maintain their success, but ultimately preferred to give up and continue on their own in the music industry, perhaps behind the scenes and without fame, but they continued to make and play music until 1994 when Danny passed away unexpectedly. He had been battling Cushing's syndrome since 1993 and had spent a year in the hospital and undergone adrenal surgery that was supposed to help him improve. But fate can be very unfair and surprising, and during the early morning hours of December 23, 1994, Danny suffered a stroke that caused his sudden death. It was very difficult for the entire family, even for Joe Frank, they were devastated. Danny had even recorded a song four months before his passing, he attended the recording studio immobilized in a wheelchair after spending a year in intensive care, he sang the song in one take, surprising everyone in the studio. The song is called "Santa Monica Nights" and was never released after Danny's sad goodbye, but you can hear a part of the song among the shorts on my channel, his brother Judd Hamilton kindly published the song on his Soundclick profile. Again, I believe Danny's talent would have led him to become a legend, either as a composer or performer, but his early departure from this world, prior to the rise of the internet and social media, submerged all memories of the band and their beautiful music almost into oblivion. His only daughter is a super kind soul but very reserved, and she has not wished to share her father's musical materials, perhaps someday we can enjoy the complete story of this great musician and his legacy. 🎸🎶
Thank you for commenting ❤ We all want to know more about the history of this great musician, but he was very private and there are very few photos. All the recordings of interviews and TV shows are undoubtedly somewhere, but they haven't come to light. We hope that in the future, with some luck, we will discover more. The important thing is that his beautiful music doesn't fade into obscurity.
@@philiptreece3339 I wanted to create a tribute video to part of Danny's work as a composer. All the songs in the video were composed and performed by Danny.
