    Hi Rudy,
I just discovered you today! I binged watched many of your videos, especially booster box openings so much fun. I'm new to MTG, well, not "new" to MTG I have known of MTG since I was a kid in 1994 my uncle who had past away at the age of 28 had bricks on top of bricks of cards! he shared a strong love for this beautiful game.
I have a couple of friends and they too love the game, and with me remembering that my uncle had played it, So I decided that I wanted to start getting into buying cards. I am falling in love with the game. I expect to buy many cards! I'm excited to learn everything there is to know in this crazy world of magic. But the main reason why I wanted to write this is, that I feel as if you had the great passion and love for this game just as my uncle did and it shows in every video. You expressions for this game is hilarious, you care about many types of trading card games some have more love than others clearly, you enjoy these games and I love that. Thanks for doing all of these videos you and my friends are making me love the fact that MTG exists and that there is such an amazing community behind it with people like you Rudy,
    Thank you, Daen
P.S. I may even want to buy a booster box from you! Perhaps a signed box of booster box? That would be fun.

Great video, been watching a few videos from your channel recently. Love the passion you, your friends&fiends in the videos have for collecting and honest investing. I am more of a player and was introduced to magic a long time ago(I purchased from physical site retailers boosters of unlimited and antiquities,) and played consecutively in the first 10 pro tours and was invited to the first two all star events. I came back to the game in 2016 and was/am glad to see it still evokes passion in artists, gamers, and collectors. The reality of economics being a part of magic the gathering seems to be cementing in, and your role in such is a very important one. In short I chose, or had to choose, to stop playing in the 1990s(right after a top 8 finish at a pro tour) for economic reasons; so I am glad to see persons like yourself understand the realities of economics and integrate them into magic as a lifestyle.
    Thank you, very much.
    Sincerely, Mark Chalice.

I remember seeing something in a Duelist that said Wizard's was doing a special give away if you were deployed in The Middle East.
My brother in law said that when he was in the military. That when a new set released in the States they would get it tons of stuff mailed to them. They used to do FNM and drafts, He said that them doing all this really helped to keep going.
I can only imagine what it was like for them over there. But WoTC helped to bring our Armed Forces a sign that they supported them.

    • @Str8edgejon

Redneck MTG. No I think Wizards would still help considering all Our Brave Men and Women go through. If anything I think they would go that extra mile by not only sending them physical cards but also setting each person who has a active DCI # up with insane accounts on MtGO or Arena.
( That way when they can they will have the ability to play family and friends while protecting us.)
*I for one would rather have the account so I could play and let everyone know I am okay. If I was in the military knowing I can hear and play my wife online would give me that extra insensitive to keep going.*

Army Sappers are pretty much Special Operations Army Engineers. They blow stuff up, build bridges, and plant large explosives, all while under fire. Many Sappers are also Rangers or have gone to Ranger School. Those cards are from a certified Baghdad Badass.
Was funny for me seeing the Engineered Explosives card. 😁

I also wanted to say thank you! I am approaching my 38th birthday, and I began playing magic shortly after the release of Beta. In early 2000, I decided to sell my entire collection. Through the years since I have kicked myself constantly for the biggest blunder of my life, I look back at a collection that could be worth an astronomical amount in today’s market and seat over the fact that I accepted just $3,500.00 for every card I had ever owned. I recently have begun the Sisyphean task of beginning the rebuilding of said collection. I can’t quite describe the feelings of my childhood but watching your vintage magic content takes me back to those amazing days of my youth, spending my entire summer at my LCS and burning through so much of my parents $$$!! Anyway, sorry for rambling on... I truly wanted you to know how grateful I am to be able to see the joy I described above in another. Thanks Rudy! -Aaron

What's crazy about most military players is that when they deploy or get stationed at their next post, base etc, they stop playing and just don't take their cards with them. As a collector I can't tell you how many people just drop off their cards or leave them behind for someone else to pillage through, most times its just a bunch of starter decks and a few booster packs cracked with bulk rares. However, every now and again you get some collections that are just beyond belief. And there's nothing you can really do to contact said person, they've already taken off to their next command.

I have taken sharpie ink off of MTG cards from all sorts of sets. It comes off easily with Q-tips and 91% Isopropyl. Heavy ink like that might take off some of the wax coating on the card, but if you want to restore the white border you could. I have done light touch ups without damaging the ink layer.

Zamir Sux I agree 100% that it's his dream. But sometimes people don't know what they jump into and.if you have listened to Shitlord Rudy before you know what it's like. Unfortunately profit margins are shit and selling cake snacks and running a 7/11 of nerdism is meh.

probably already been mentioned, but that colored city of brass is arabian nights, not chronicles. if it was chronicles, it would have a the tap arrow and (c) 1995 in the corner.

That city of brass is 100% a real arabian nights sharpied. Chronicles is like 4th edition and says the year at the bottom, and the text is different than real arabian

I think the reason FoW isn't going up is that the supply on that was already surprisingly large even before the reprint.
Also the legacy scene isn't that large so the demand for it is not huge.
Mana drain is way better in EDH anyway.
