Somewhere a Stanely sales exec is scratching their heads and wondering why they are selling so well all of a sudden and why are non construction retailers buying their products. LMAO
This literally happened. Sales of this product spiked after this video, and when they sat down to look at sales numbers, they found this box made up 60% of toolbox sales. They did research and found out why. They claimed they were about to discontinue it, but with the high sales decided not to for another 3 years
The funny thing is that if Ultra-Pro or Ultimate Guard would build something like this Stanley box, it would cost between $50-$70. Stanley be like "$17".
tastymelon while diversity amongst products is real, the issue is that ultra pro makes the inferior product, it's worse in essentially every way, costs more, deteriorates faster, holds less, etc. the Stanley box was created to hold tools, while yes it is creative of the consumer to use it for something other than tools, ultra pro is most likely the brand that everyone uses because it's made for TCGs, meaning that people end up paying more for less efficient product, ultra pro could easily make a better/just as good product for probably just as cheap, but they don't, because they don't have to, when the economic system is based around money, and not progress, you tend to see stalemates in design and innovation

Fits perfectly and has room for extra deck boxes or anything else even play mats.

Ok, I’ve just gotta say that the Prof came in seriously clutch with this one. I decided to go to my LGS the other evening to play commander, but my commander decks were in very awkward, not-easy-to-move storage containers. I had roughly four hours to somehow figure out how to transport ~12 commander decks easily. Then I remembered the Stanley Container Thingy from this video, and it turned out my father had one in his garage that he wasn’t even using. Without this video, I would’ve probably rocked up to my LGS with an arm full of boxes. Outstanding.

I've been using the Stanley case for years now and can confirm it's fantastic. Only thing buyers should be wary of is the fact that each compartment isn't completely flat on the bottom. There is a slight indent in the middle of each one that can slightly damage the sides of sleeves when used for long periods of time. I avoided this problem by cutting thin foam pieces to make the bottom flat or by leaving the cards in some sort of simple box (ex Dragon Shield sleeve box). Apart from that I've loved how durable and convenient it's been, would easily recommend.
I've been looking for this but all the ones I have found online have 8 regular compartments plus two larger sizes compartments. I can't find any that look just like the one in this video which has 12 normal size compartments.
@@blaarfengaar I'm having the same issue. I found one in a local store which is EXACTLY the same organizer, but it comes with two larger compartments in the middle instead of 5 small ones... Can't find any like the one on the video :(
@@juanignaciobidegaray honestly I suspect that the one Prof has in the video just had the compartments swapped out and put back on the shelf by someone
I tried getting into MTG again a while back, but just couldn’t get into it. On the plus side, I remembered seeing the Stanley organizer on this video and it solved another serious organization problem I had been having for a while, so thanks! 👍🏻
Oh Im back, I forgot to ask, is it water resistant? If I spilled water on it while its closed or if I carry it through the rain, will water run into my box and damage my cards?
I'm guessing, but I'd say yes. It was designed to hold hardware for handy men so there's that possibility it'll get caught in the rain. And getting those metal bits wet could hurt them.
You can also buy silicon tape and tape the upper and lower outside edges of the lid and base. Simple water resistance at about $0.95 a box. (The spool I used on my 12x18 box was $6 but there is way more than I needed.)
Colin McKean what is the title again? Because I plugged the one from the description into google and got one that has the same name but different compartments. The dimensions might also help.
I don't play MTG, (I play yu-gi-oh super casually) but you fine sir have earned a subscriber in me with your amazing content and the friendly atmosphere of your work. Great stuff.
Small note, the Stanley Toolbox comes with 8 deck sized trays and 2 extra large trays by default, so you're missing out on 4 deck-sized trays unless you pull a sneaky in the home depot aisle when no one's looking. As a tradeoff, the extra large trays PERFECTLY fit the deck boxes that come with the Commander Precons, if for some reason you want to carry 2 of those around with you...
Wow dude you look after your things so well, all those binders look brand new and that's what I assumed with each of them until you said otherwise. Nice!
Actually, I don't! I am very messy and lazy and all around rough on my things in real life. My jackets are rumpled, my trunk a mess. I am always grabbing my MTG accessories in a hurry and tossing them in and out of whatever bag I am using for transport, dropping things constantly, or leaving things lying around and exposed to harm. I'm a mess; the classic absent minded professor. But that's exactly why I have found all these products. I need things that can survive ME.
@@TolarianCommunityCollege that explains why you put the products through lots of testing such as shaking the deck boxes or pulling apart the card sleeves
They make a slightly bigger version for 40 bucks. It has a compartment in the back for a laptop. I carry two trade binders back there easily. Mine has held up very well for a couple of years now. I did cut off the extra straps that clip around the waist. I have it packed full and have had no problems with it thus far. Fantastic bag.
I have the $40 larger bag and have used it since December 2017 and I love it. In the laptop compartment I keep two standard trade binders. I also keep a 4 binder in the front pocket but wouldn’t recommend doing that as the edges have started to curve. No damage to the cards inside but I’m in the market for another 3x3 trade binder for that pocket. I may consider cutting off the waist strap, that’s a great idea as it isn’t necessary for going from my car to the store and other short trips and just gets in the way.
I swear by that Stanley tool organizer! I always make sure to credit you when asked about it. I keep 15 of my most played decks in it. It's tough, easy to carry, and affordable! I've been using it since this video came out and I bought one. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Professor!
My wife and I both play magic together and she saw your video, immediately went to home depot and got the stanley 12 (10?) compartment toolbox. It works GREAT! Wonderful for our library/collection or storing decks, tokens, dice, you name it! So happy with it and the removable nature is extremely handy. Thanks for the review! (PS I have a fibromyalgia and the full toolbox was so heavy it sprained my wrist! So be careful and use two-hands when it's full! Very sturdy construction!)
I don't comment often, but I love this video. I would like to see more things like this. Things from outside of the hobbies eyes that get missed or overlooked because it wasn't "made" for TCGs. Thanks Professor.
Amazing work professor! We need many more videos like this, catering to people who can't reach a local game store or looking for affordable quality items! Bravo!
After watching this video, I went right to my local Lowe’s and picked up the Stanley organizer. Being able to have so many MtG and Pokémon cards in one nice case is a huge plus for when I’m gaming on the go. Thank you for posting quality videos and keeping a passion for the games going!
With all honestly. For all my years of player Card games. I never thought a camera bookbag would be that great for transporting and carrying deck boxes. For years I hated hearing the rattling and crashing of my deck boxes against each other. Thank You Professor. You opened my eyes for sure great products. Especially the book bag. Thankyou and love all your content
I bought the Stanley boxes for my boys. They store decks, spare sleeves, tokens, dice and empty pack wrappers (silly pack rats). They work wonderful and my toddlers will stand on them if they get left out. Very sturdy design and I think it will take an act of God to break them
Majin Shinsa I do have a question about the Stanley box and you might be the perfect person to answer. Can you store deck boxes in the compartments? Mainly a standard size deck box? Or are deck boxes not really worth it because they offer great protection?
Seth Hayes a few of my decks are in deck boxes for my commonly used decks (I have one I use a my commander deck storage) so I can grab them easily if I'm not taking all my decks.
I've been looking for this but all the ones I have found online have 8 regular compartments plus two larger sizes compartments. I can't find any that look just like the one in this video which has 12 normal size compartments.
Thanks for a great video! Having just purchased the Stanley 10-compartment, I have a few observations to add. First off, mine was indeed a 10-compartment item, and contains 8 trays of the size shown in the video, but also 2 double-sized trays. My guess is someone "customized" yours prior to you getting it, but I digress... The double-sized trays are actually great for me, because I like to store my decks in Ultimate Guard 100+ Boulders, but the smaller trays are just slightly too small for them. However, because the double-sized trays don't have to be split down the middle by a strip of plastic, they are the perfect size to hold a pair of the 100+ Boulders. With 2 double-sized trays, this then acts like a budget ArkHive, sans the Xenoskin, microfiber, and magnets. The one structural downside of this compared to the ArkHive is that you do have to tip the boulders out of the trays to get to them, but considering all the additional space for dice, etc and how budget friendly this is, I'm a very happy purchaser. I also tinkered around with what else I could fit in it, and it turns out the boxes you get with Fat Pac....er, I mean set Bundles...fit very well two two across (two of them replace a row of five trays with some space between), a UG Flip'n'Tray Mat Case does fit inside (albeit VERY tightly across) but with almost too much room in the the other dimensions, and an ArkHive does not fit as the lid can no longer close (though why you'd actually want to do that, I don't know). That said, being able to add a mat into the mix (I'd love to find a better solution than just shoving my mat box in - if you can think of any please let me know!) makes this basically a budget SuperHive, but at under 1/3 the price. Also, I'd simply point out that this is a GREAT mobile lands station. I'm the unofficial draft coordinator for my friends, and I'm looking forward to this easily helping me carry everything I could possibly need. Thanks for the great suggestion! PS - I've been watching your videos for a while now and have taken a lot of great suggestions and ideas from them. Thank you for all the detailed work you do! :)
I pulled out the dividers in a couple of the Fat Packs (now Bundles) and two of them fit side by side perfectly in the large containers, as well as holding 100+ sleeved cards easily.
That Stanley box is exactly what I need, not because of budget constraints, but because our playgroup has shifted to where on many nights, I bring a large arsenal of commander decks and we all play from my collection. I've been using an ammo box from my local hardware store that holds about 6 decks (we also store our cube in one), but I'm about to inherit the collection of a friend who doesn't really play magic anymore, and I'll need to upgrade my storage capacity when I do.
This video was such a huge help. I've been looking for a way to transport my decks to and from my brother's house which is a few states away. I can't thank you enough. I'm a huge fan of your videos. Keep up the great content.
I use the Milwaukee brand version of the tool box. It has double sized buckets so you can fit satin towers in them. Plus tons of counters accessories and other stuff. I took one row of buckets out and put two tubes with playmats in it with pens paper etc. my son and I play in pods so I can bring that and nothing else is needed. It has 4 commander decks in satin towers, life counters, 2 play mats, bags of dice, bags of glass bead counters, pens paper, and extra space to put smaller card boxes to hold cards from wins or cards for trade. Super durable, and water resistant. Been using it for over a year and I’m hard on it, looks new. Home Depot has them sometimes on sale for 17.00 I got two for the extra buckets so I could customize it more.
Billable they are also stackable so if you get a couple you can connect them. They only come with two double compartment trays so you need to get 2 of them to hold 4 satin towers. I took the third bottom row out to fit playmat tubes and have 4 long trays to fit 4 towers.
I found something different-the All-Media Artist’s Sketch Box from Hobby Lobby. 25 bucks but it can hold all of my magic stuff, and they have a free 40% off coupon so it is about 16 bucks. Durable and looks fantastic , and easy to pack up. Can even hold a monster brand binder
I saw somebody with the Stanley case at my LGS. It was super clever then and it's still super clever now lol. Gonna have to look into that camera bag though.
I've just today played my very first mtg tournament and I need to thank you. I've played mtg before, but always way too casually. This time, with the advent of challenger decks, I was able to build a playable deck quickly and it was A experience. I didn't have this much fun playing a game for a long time. Thanks to your tips and insights I was able to learn a lot in little time and perform very well. Thank you, professor. I love what you do here on this channel and especially your vlogs/IRL content (about being an adjunct professor; Q&As with your dad; IRL stories; etc.). Thanks for choosing such a hard path. If you'd like a challenge, I'd ask you to try and make IRL gameplay content that's not only nice, but "pedagogic" to watch, because that's one of the biggest challenges a tcg youtuber may face. If someone can do it, I believe it's you. Thanks for being such a good influence, and, even though I don't think you'll read this, the first day I'm able to, I'll register on patreon and support your work right there and then. Once again - and borderlining obnoxiousness - : thank you.
I understand. My comment was also a roundabout way of denoting that this time, unlike the beard we saw months ago; is a beard looks much nicely groomed. As a bearded Docent myself, I'm happy so see this. K, bye!
Haven’t watched anything on Magic for maybe a couple of years now but this popped up and watched it during Lunch. Very impressed on how far you’ve come teach. Great video! Congrats 😊👌
Professor, I have been a long time subscriber and I just wanted to say thanks for making these videos. I work with a very tight budget, so when I save to buy supplies for my Yu-Gi-Oh cards, then what I buy has to be carefully considered for my needs, the quality of the item, and the price. Your videos have long helped me to decide on these issues. For example, my Dex 4-pocket binder that is reserved for only my most precious of cards that are for my personal collection and not trades or display, is something that I would never have obtained if not for these videos. Additionally, I just placed an order for the Dragon Shield Nest Deck Box, as your videos again helped me to decide on getting a new deck box for my main and more expensive deck. So again, I offer to you my thanks, and look forward to many more videos. :)
Love all of these solutions! I would also recommend the Apache #63927 from harbor freight. Extremely heavy duty and waterproof, and can hold 12 Boulder 100+ cases.
This video helped me massively. I ended up getting the Amazon Camera bag and it's been great for Magic but I also recently got into photography and so it's been great for both, especially my recent trip to GP Denver. Thanks Prof!
I've heard only good things about the Stanley Toolbox. Thank you for the review! Nice to see and hear your thoughts on them, as well as the other items. I keep meaning to pick up one of the Stanleys, but haven't gotten around to doing so. May just have to fix that this weekend! Anyway, great video!
My man, this was a quality video. Very interesting and innovative. I love my LGS but I also love having my cards in the best possible situations they can be. Appreciate the look, and this is a good thing for the community in general.
So when I looked up the toolbox online it's actually slightly different it does only have 10 compartments and 2 compartments are double size any way I could get a link to the exact version you purchased?
I'm pretty sure he picked up the same one you're looking at. When he got it a Home Depot, someone probably opened it up and swapped out the two large from his and replaced it with 4 small from theirs because they wanted more large compartments. I've purchased two of these myself and both came with 2 larger compartments. They fit 3 60 card ultra pro decks sideways perfectly tho.
@@Legion8511 ^this^ I'm using mine for my Ravnica Guild Kit battle box, my EDH deck, and my 2 Modern decks, as well as dice and tokens. So, for 60 card decks, having the 2x wide compartments actually allows you to carry more decks, because 60 card decks take up just barely over half of one of the smaller compartments, and the 2x wide compartments also don't have space loss from the compartment walls in between, meaning you can actually fit 3 sleeved guild kits, sleeved and in their box, as well as the spin down dice they came with, in one compartment.
Stanley discontinued the 10 bin Organizer. You can find a near identical clone from PerforMax one from Menards for $16.99 and the quality is excellent.
Stanley case is great especially if you love deck building I take the dividers out and just use ultra pro deck boxes it houses 20x 80 count boxes, not sure how many 100 counts it will house, you can leave some empty for dice and counters or use some dividers, you can also fold a playmat and lay it across the boxes and it will still close perfectly the playmat actually gives it some cushioning, absolutely my favorite and reasonably priced at all home depot's 👍🏽👍🏽
Also if you don't like the Stanley sticker it will leave sticker gunk if you peel it off, but you can use organic paint thinner and scrub it off with a rag that's what I did anyways it doesn't damage it, but maybe there's other techniques
Awesome video Prof! I have used Stanley shallow organizers for over 10 years for my (ever growing, lol) Warhammer bits collection. I had never thought to try them for Magic. Off to Home Depot/Lowes/Canadian Tire for me now!
Oh man, there was a shortfreeze for buffering, but I needed that so I could hit the like button already because I am to engrossed watching Professor's great videos!
When I was in middle school, I carried my cards in a plastic bag with a rubber band on the outside... It was Kentucky and we didn't have those fancy deck boxes.
I just picked up the amazon basics bag for my MTG decks. Even though the price has gone up (Canada) it is still an amazing bang for your buck. Thanks so much prof
I was about to buy a binder and was feeling a bit lost by all the choices, worrying that I'd buy the wrong size of binder and sheets. And then I stumbled on this video and now I'm going to buy the sheets first at my local game store, and then chose the best binder that suits my needs and the size of the sheets I will have bought, at my local stationer's shop. Thanks a lot prof! ~Skoyatt
Professor, your insight and opinion on MTG products and non-mtg products has been so helpful and entertaining to watch. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Anyone have a link to that Stanley Box? All I'm finding is the 10 compartment one that has two double size yellow boxes and 8 of those "deck" size boxes.
The prof got lucky with finding a mis filled one. They are supposed to have 8 single and 2 double size compartments. But the double six ones are great for dice, glass beads, pens, life pads and other life counters.
Love your channel prof. 😊 Apart from that; My fiancé is a photographer and I never thought about her camera bag as an optimized magic bag. Thanks for that.
Hey Professor, I think the Stanley carrying case is suppose to be 10-components. As I looked it up for purchase, every picture showed 8 small cubbies, and 2 larger ones. I think you got super lucky with a manufacture loading mistake. But you could always buy two, swap out the larger ones with 4 smaller ones from another, then return the one with the larger components.
You are right - I have one too and it comes with 2 large compartments and 8 small ones. Maybe prof got lucky and there's someone out there who wanted 4 large compartments and swapped with the one he got.
Just went and bought one myself, and can confirm that Prof probably just got lucky with the all small boxes (looked through all available ones at the store, all had 10 total boxes). Still, some double size ones might be nice for holding things like tokens and dice if you need a lot of them, and they're big enough to hold a Satin Tower if you want to double box your cards for some reason. Alternatively, the case itself is also JUST long enough to hold a playmat in a case if you take out a row of boxes, leaving you with up to 7 slots and a place for your playmat if you don't plan on being rough enough to displace the remaining cubbies.
Okay, he did some trickery. He took four small compartments from another box and replaced his two long boxes in the center so he would have 12 equally sized compartments, instead of 8 equally sized smaller ones and two larger sized ones. The boxes are still available at Home Depot and Amazon.
Supplyworks by Home Depot has them for $20 with a $10 handling fee for orders under $150. So $20-$30 each depending on how many you get. I'm still torn on getting it, because I imagine those notches on the lid could cause pressure points if it got flipped upside down for some reason.
Aww man, that Stanley case is awesome. Reminds me of my own card plastic cases that had a handle and a top area to put cards and dice in. Then the main box had a lot of room with card index's. They don't make them any longer, but it was the best, I still have one, but it's old.
I bought the Stanley. Yes you can fit a play mat in there horizontally. Also make sure you get the version of the Stanley in the video. Stanley makes boxes that have the angled cups. Thanks prof!
I have a portable tool chest/lockbox that I bought from Harbor Freight years ago that has latches you can lock with a small key. I've been using it ever since I destroyed the cloth and foam Ultra Pro bag that is sold at most LGSs. Those only held 10-12 deckboxes and some dice. This one that I bought can hold up to 28 normal sized deckboxes! I was super thrilled with it because I have a ton of decks that I always had to carry around in multiple bags to many different places. If you're thinking about getting something to hold your deckboxes, and not just your cards, look into getting a tool lockbox. They are usually modular with some foam cutouts or plastic slats that you can adjust to fit the configuration that you like best. It has been one of the best investments I've made to protecting and securing my cards when transporting them .
Many thanks for recommending the Stanley case! I found something similar, the correct Stanley product isn't easily available in Finland, unfortunately. But your video peaked an interest to get something suitable for card storage, something more robust than cardboard storage boxes.

Wow ! You sold me on that stanley case. Im going to my home depot now. See you later. Thanks!
I've been using one for about a year, and its great. Mine has withstood several spills with nothing leaking through
Colin McKean what is the title again? Because I plugged the one from the description into google and got one that has the same name but different compartments. The dimensions might also help.
I don't play MTG, (I play yu-gi-oh super casually) but you fine sir have earned a subscriber in me with your amazing content and the friendly atmosphere of your work. Great stuff.
This review is refreshing, please do more every day items that we can use for magic!
you could keep cards in plastic food boxes. :)
Or a spam can. Just rinse it out first... Or not, could make games more interesting having a deck that smells like such fine deli meat.
Warren Dax Be sure to run Thopter Pie Factory ;).
Im probably gonna buy that camera bag not because i need it for magic card but because I need a better camera bag.
I’ve been looking for a hard case, and apparently Apache cases are all the rage among camera and drone owners. It’s a budget version of pelican cases.
RIP to the Stanley cases. They were discontinued, but will never be forgotten.
Aha, and this is why you are perfect for the job, if a product can survive you, it can survive anyone! :D
@@TolarianCommunityCollege that explains why you put the products through lots of testing such as shaking the deck boxes or pulling apart the card sleeves
As a new magic player with a growing collection, this is an incredibly useful video. Thank you!
I've been using the amazon dslr bag since November 2014 for magic cards, absolutely love it 🤙
Ricky K has it held up pretty well over time?
Does it hold a 9 Pocket flexxfolio?
I have the larger $40 one for a year and its amazing. Held up great, and fits a standard flar 9-pocket binder in the laptop pocket.
I swear by that Stanley tool organizer! I always make sure to credit you when asked about it. I keep 15 of my most played decks in it. It's tough, easy to carry, and affordable! I've been using it since this video came out and I bought one. I am very happy with my purchase. Thank you Professor!
Love this! I'm always getting creative when it comes to MTG stuff, because I hate how a lot of the game-specific products can be so overpriced.
Sales for Stanley (and other) products like this increase ten fold.
New market niche! Gamers.

Bravo!
Gosh, i have one of those dewalt boxes. I didn't even think about the corners. I'll have to swap my cube to a stanley. Thanks Prof!
After watching this video, I went right to my local Lowe’s and picked up the Stanley organizer. Being able to have so many MtG and Pokémon cards in one nice case is a huge plus for when I’m gaming on the go. Thank you for posting quality videos and keeping a passion for the games going!
The lighting looks great holy crap!
Thanks. I tried a new setup just to shake things up and then I got nervous I had gone too far. haha.
I havent been able to find the Stanley box anywhere online, where did you get yours?
Christian Wilkerson home depot. I love it!
That Stanley deck box is perfect I need to get one
Paul Wade it’s fantastic works so well for mtg it’s almost perfect

Amazing video prof. Definitely going to spend some cash on the Stanley.
Thank you! Been a long time since I was able to play in an LGS and a lot has changed. These videos are a bank account saver
as a player on a budget this was extremely helpful. thanks prof!
I really like the Stanley box, that holds so much! Thanks for this video, Professor!
D Carncr could you be a kind soul and link me to the kind you use? I have so many satin towers and that would be a great fit for me.
Billable www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-10-Compartment-Red-Deep-Pro-Small-Parts-Organizer-225046/205847797
Billable they are also stackable so if you get a couple you can connect them. They only come with two double compartment trays so you need to get 2 of them to hold 4 satin towers. I took the third bottom row out to fit playmat tubes and have 4 long trays to fit 4 towers.
D Carncr nice thank you so much
I found something different-the All-Media Artist’s Sketch Box from Hobby Lobby. 25 bucks but it can hold all of my magic stuff, and they have a free 40% off coupon so it is about 16 bucks. Durable and looks fantastic , and easy to pack up. Can even hold a monster brand binder
I've been needing a new bag and this was perfect! Just purchased mine. Thanks for great advice as always and keep up the great content.
With all due respect, dear professor: Keep the beard!
Kyosean i am an advocate of beards, but not on the prof’s face 😞
I understand. My comment was also a roundabout way of denoting that this time, unlike the beard we saw months ago; is a beard looks much nicely groomed. As a bearded Docent myself, I'm happy so see this. K, bye!
Haven’t watched anything on Magic for maybe a couple of years now but this popped up and watched it during Lunch. Very impressed on how far you’ve come teach. Great video! Congrats 😊👌
13:37 location of a very cool EDH wooden deckbox.....coincidence?
I got the same one.
I can vouch for its durability.
Oh yeah you can kick the shit out of one of those and it won't break. You really have to try to even damage one.
So the Stanley fatmax does not fit a Boulder 100+?
Cause i already have the Stanley toolbox but id like to order 100+ boulders
I appreciate the effore of you putting a glass window behind you just so you could break it with a bag of cards. That's some dedication right there.
You know if these products were made by card supply companies, they'd cost twice as much. Good ideas for using normal stuff for gaming.
PART 2 PLEASEEEEE. this video was SO helpful a few years ago another one would be such a huge help. Love the vids thanks!
Liking the new office setup prof!
+Chonjae pabo same setup, new camera position and lighting. Was an experiment, glad to hear you liked it!
Really?! it looks completetly different to me, maybe my memory sort of just sucks but still! Keep up the Great work!
Fill it from bottom to top... lmao
Man, that toolbox looks perfect for storing my pauper gauntlet.
My thoughts exactly :D
This channel is so good. Like he's such a genuinely nice, polite, and professional dude.
Yep. The Prof. is great. He definitely helped me to stay with magic when I became frustrated at various points.
I’m digging the beard Prof!
Prof, you and Oete from Cedric and Ada Outdoors are the two most wholesome and genuine channels/personalities on TH-cam. Thanks for all you do.
"More counters than you'll ever need"

I continue to be impressed by your videos, Professor. You're getting better and better!
@@Legion8511 ^this^
I'm using mine for my Ravnica Guild Kit battle box, my EDH deck, and my 2 Modern decks, as well as dice and tokens.
Videos like this one is why you are the biggest MTG youtuber!
Thank you very much!!
"Dual flippin' tray"
Did Rudy help with the script?
Pre-emptive: Yes, I know it's Flip 'n Tray
Love this review of the Stanley. I asked you to do a review of these before and I’m so glad you did. Probably going to pick it next week.
They don’t sell that same Stanley anymore
I feel I've been waiting for this video! Thanks Prof!
you should do a new updated version, the Stanley tool box is much harder to find nowadays and the amazon camera bag is now $42
Please prof!
If you have a harbor freight tool near you, they sell a clone of that stanley box, and it's 13.99 (today). Should work just as well.
Stanley discontinued the 10 bin Organizer. You can find a near identical clone from PerforMax one from Menards for $16.99 and the quality is excellent.
@@Whiplash47 I just ordered one from Home Depot they didn’t discontinue it
Stanley case is great especially if you love deck building I take the dividers out and just use ultra pro deck boxes it houses 20x 80 count boxes, not sure how many 100 counts it will house, you can leave some empty for dice and counters or use some dividers, you can also fold a playmat and lay it across the boxes and it will still close perfectly the playmat actually gives it some cushioning, absolutely my favorite and reasonably priced at all home depot's 👍🏽👍🏽
Also if you don't like the Stanley sticker it will leave sticker gunk if you peel it off, but you can use organic paint thinner and scrub it off with a rag that's what I did anyways it doesn't damage it, but maybe there's other techniques
Yooo, that Stanley box is actually genius.
Awesome video Prof! I have used Stanley shallow organizers for over 10 years for my (ever growing, lol) Warhammer bits collection. I had never thought to try them for Magic. Off to Home Depot/Lowes/Canadian Tire for me now!
To anyone who is curious, the Stanley tool organizer box is definitely worth every penny.
392Muscle I know the feeling, I'm from ky too, we did that all the time when I was little lol
I just picked up the amazon basics bag for my MTG decks. Even though the price has gone up (Canada) it is still an amazing bang for your buck. Thanks so much prof
Found this video in 2023 where this thing is like $38 now😂😂
Came here in April of 2024, yup it’s expensive lol. Might as well buy an ultimate guard or something at this point.
Harbor freight has a similar one for 12 dollars
In store they are cheaper than online
I was about to buy a binder and was feeling a bit lost by all the choices, worrying that I'd buy the wrong size of binder and sheets. And then I stumbled on this video and now I'm going to buy the sheets first at my local game store, and then chose the best binder that suits my needs and the size of the sheets I will have bought, at my local stationer's shop.
Thanks a lot prof!
~Skoyatt
I bought a Stanley commander deck holder, but it came with two long compartments, not just the small ones
That is how it is sold but you can remove the two longer slotted trays for smaller trays which he does not explain in the video.
I really like these videos prof. It's nice to see reviews of everyday items that most wouldn't think of for transport/storage
Damn, the Stanley 10 compartment is like 42 AUD at my local Bunning's.
I'm looking for the same thing rip
The prof got lucky with finding a mis filled one. They are supposed to have 8 single and 2 double size compartments. But the double six ones are great for dice, glass beads, pens, life pads and other life counters.
Love your channel prof. 😊 Apart from that; My fiancé is a photographer and I never thought about her camera bag as an optimized magic bag. Thanks for that.
Insert Homelands Depot joke here.
filpaul the clerk named Ihsan is quite helpful
I dunno. He's always throwing shade at me.
He's quite the edgelord, but even if he looks like it, he must not be very Serra about it.
I think he's an ex-con because he's always talking bout his Shiv.
As his Dark Confidant, i can assure you no blackblades of any kind have been reforged nor carried by my client.
Dude this video helped me out so much. That Stanley thing is a treat
Hello from 2024, that Stanley box is now over 40 bucks
Can’t wait to purchase the Stanley Organizer! Thanks for the reviews. We appreciate it!
Pinkie Pie that's what I did. That one also has a little lip for labeling
You are right - I have one too and it comes with 2 large compartments and 8 small ones. Maybe prof got lucky and there's someone out there who wanted 4 large compartments and swapped with the one he got.
It's also 40 Euros here in Germany on Amazon :/
yeah i'm getting the same when i look it up
Just went and bought one myself, and can confirm that Prof probably just got lucky with the all small boxes (looked through all available ones at the store, all had 10 total boxes).
I have been looking for a decent way to transport my decks and that box looks perfect. I wish I knew of this AGES ago. Amazing. Simple.
Hey professor, I know this is an older video but I was wondering what Commander decks you currently have in your arsenal that you play?
well that stanley case is worth the like alone! great vid, thanks for all the work and research you put in Prof!
Can anyone send me a link to the right Stanley case online. I can't find the same model
www.homedepot.com/p/Stanley-10-Compartment-Deep-Pro-Small-Parts-Organizer-014710R/100375900
Tolarian Community College I found it for $14 at walmart
Sam Miller thanks
Those all have 2 large boxes in them now.
Okay, he did some trickery. He took four small compartments from another box and replaced his two long boxes in the center so he would have 12 equally sized compartments, instead of 8 equally sized smaller ones and two larger sized ones.
The boxes are still available at Home Depot and Amazon.
Son of a….somebody at Stanley caught on because now it’s $40 lol.
If I took out a row of those cups could I fit a playmat in there horizontally?
Wow, prof is looking great with a beard.
Thanks!
Many thanks for recommending the Stanley case! I found something similar, the correct Stanley product isn't easily available in Finland, unfortunately. But your video peaked an interest to get something suitable for card storage, something more robust than cardboard storage boxes.
