Hey 𝐕𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭. I am just a simple dude from Australia, but I want you to know how awesome it is what you did, and what you do. Love your work mate and God bless you for everything you do for people in the future. I was truly touched by this vid.
The excitement in your voice when you finally reach a victim is priceless. You're so compassionate and empathetic. Merry Christmas to you and your loved .ones, *GrindTechiei* 👍 Thank you for everything you doo
That is what literally happened to me yesterday. Thank you so much for putting out this video. I wish I would've seen this sooner but thankfully nothing happened with my Google account. I also blocked and reported that person.
𝐕𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐭 I'm relieved that you're out there fighting these thugs. We must take all precautions to protect the elderly and the general public from these despicable scammers.
How do you report that potential buyer/scammer to FB? I tried following FB's steps to report a buyer, but their steps only worked until step #4. After that, FB wrote to tap "See More", but that isn't on my page for the item's listing (which is where they take you in step #4). If you will tell me how to report that, that w/b great! Thanks!
This happens to me all the time. I think they are trying to set up google voice accounts in your name, with your phone number. I always give them my own google voice number and they say it doesn't work, do you have another phone. Then I block and report conversation as a scam. Very frustrating when you are trying to do business.
Thanks for posting your experience I had a few try the same with me Asking for my phone and telling me they needed me to call I said I only communicate through fb messenger, they finally stopped responding
I usually prefer they pick up from my place, because im well defended or we meet at Mcdonalds becuase its so public. If they deny both i know its sketchy. One person today tried to get me to deliver to an address they clearly dont own because it was abandoned.
Yep, I had two people ask for my address on the second message. No way I’m doing that. I always meet up at a local business. Once I tell them that, they stop responding. Very sketchy.
This happens to me everytime I post something. Like within 5 mins I get some scammer wanting me to give out my #. I'm starting to get more scammers for my higher price items (such as my restored furniture) more then people who are actually interested.
Do they start the conversation with "Can I pick this up now?" I haven't used marketplace in a long time and just recently started again. Since someone tried this very same scam on me from this video, I'm very concerned about even using it now.
@@amberconner32 yea the scammers are getting annoying. Maybe posting your items in local groups rather than the whole marketplace might cut down on it??? Not sure. Just make sure you don't give out any personal info if you do sell stuff. Yes they're usually very eager to pick up the item
Not sure if this is a new scam but seems fishy, I got over ten people messaging me and asking if they can pay in advance to meeting me, they say secure the item. its 2k item, who in the right mind would want to pay upfront to a stranger. I am guessing they then don't show up and ask for their money back, meanwhile if I send them their money back, somehow its my money, maybe they are linking a stolen or new CC to Venmo that they plan on saying was stolen. who knows, seems like a new trick.
Almost happens to me because someone in fb was selling this truck pretty cheap and they told me to email them then they told me that they would send me the truck to where i live they ask me where i lived and my phone number and all that then i was like nah let me check on youtube what type of ways you can get scam in fb thank you for saying this about the phone number thing I didn’t really think about that
Hi, I just had this happen to me too! Stupid me gave them my number but not that code! Can they still do anything with just my phone number? I blocked and reported them too.
Literally this happened to me yesterday on Instagram. I thought that I was helping them sign in on a new device. Thank you for telling me. I didn’t even receive the code.
I bought a table from one of the users in Market Place, and when I arrived at him he gave me the table outside the house and the place was dark. I asked him if it had scratches and he told me that there were no scratches on it and I paid for it, and when I took it to a place with a light it showed me that it had Many scratches, I returned them immediately to the user, but he refused to return my money, what should I do?
Sorry to hear that. It's a shame the seller lied to you. Unfortunately you do need to be careful what you buy on there. Theres no way you can force him to take it back. You're responsible for making sure you really want it before you buy. If it's a wooden table maybe you can repair the scratches?
@@KyleMerl Thank you for answering me , it's actually not fixable because it's covered with like marble paper also I didn't take the table with me it's in his house , as you said I should be careful next time and thank you for advice
@@KyleMerl I think it was I changed my Gmail password which is my goggle account and turned on 2 step , and completely locked down my card and have a new one coming. I rather be safe then sorry. I’m done with Facebook marketing , it was my first item too. $50 timberland boots. I actually quit online selling in general it’s too dangerous and too many fees I’m going to start selling at flea markets on tables. No fees but paying for my table and no scammers like that
@@realshots3968 I stopped selling online too. Not worth the hassle. Here's more info on the scam to see what you should about it. You may need to look into the Google voice thing consumer.ftc.gov/consumer-alerts/2021/10/google-voice-scam-how-verification-code-scam-works-and-how-avoid-it

Yea I normally did Walmart parking lots as a meeting place. Def prefer public places. If I did McDonalds id be fatter than I already am though.

I recently made a fake account with obviously fake posts with ridiculously high prices to waste scammers’ time.
But the person is creating different accounts
Same scam going on “offer up”. They stake out new sellers

Not as far as this scam goes, no. Im not sure if they do anything with phone numbers they get a hold of.
Just sell them to other scammers.

This has been happening a lot to me recently.
SAME THING HAPPENDED TO ME I GOT SOME RANDOM NEW ACCOUNTS MESSAGING ME AND ASKING FOR MY NUMBER
They are so many scammers, today I was dealing with to of them
I gave the scammer my phone number and text them the code ! What do I do??
