I’ve never been to NYC and have always wanted to visit. This is so cool, you made me feel like I was there and I love that there isn’t background music, you hear all the natural sounds. Hopefully I’ll visit one day. Thanks Mr. Kong
Thanks so much for including the names of the landmarks when you were giving us the views of Manhattan. I wasn't sure if I was looking at the Flat Iron Building but then you confirmed it with your titles. Great clip.
Last time I was up on the observation deck was 52 years ago. My goodness how much the skyline has changed. What an iconic, historic building! Absolutely great tour you gave I felt like I was right there.
One of my top dream vacations is to visit New York city. None of these exciting travels will happen until I am much older, but that would only give me something to look forward to in life! Can't wait to see this in person. If I was shocked how tall it was on video, I guess I definitely won't be disappointed in real life!
Dude ! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POINTING OUT AND LABELING WHAT WE WERE LOOKING AT. THE WAY IT OVERLAPPED SOMETHING YOU PANNED OVER EARLIER AND YOU LABELED THE CHRYSLER BUILDING TWICE IS WHY YOU’RE A PRINCE FOR PUTTING THIS VIDEO TOGETHER. NICELY EXECUTED ! It’s one thing to talk over what we’re seeing but having those neatly placed texts over what we see is so much better. Plus I t didn’t take away from the sound of the whole experience. ✨✨✨👌🏼
During one of his trips to N.Y. my grandfather filmed a whole Kodachrome reel from the Empire State Bldg. observatory in April of 1941, he captured scenes from all around giving you a nice rendition of the city's whole area, the Manhattan Skyline had about five really tall buildings towering over many shorties if I remember well, very sparse but it looked so nice in color versus the many B&W photographs of the era.
I'm sitting at my computer desk on a Sunday afternoon in New Mexico--it's almost 80 degrees outside, hot for early May here...but, I'm also touring the Empire State Building for the very first time, via my host, Mr. Kong! It's absolutely incredible inside & outside of this venerable landmark building--I feel like New York really is the United States encapsulated in this one state; the building itself seems inviting with the myriad interesting displays, such exciting history here!--I especially liked the King Kong exhibit--does that have anything to do with your choice of "Mr. Kong" as your blog name? Now I'm scheming to figure out how my husband & I can get to New York once travel is safe. Until then, my appreciation goes to you for taking the time to provide such a memorable occasion on a lazy day!
Looks a lot diff on the 86th floor than when I went as a kid around 1975, there were none of those video or interactive displays, there was a photo booth and a glass showcase with one brick in it, I think it said the architect ordered 100 million bricks and this was the ONE brick left over.
I’m so thankful to live in a nation where people of color have the freedom to be wealthy and ambitious, senators, presidents, congressmen, CEOs and everything else you can imagine. God has blessed this country and I’m grateful to be able to experience it through TH-cam. Thank you for posting, Kong.
Trust me, Brad, ... 'God" has nothing to do with this or anything else in existence. "God" is a figment of (some) mankind's imagination. Man created "god" ... in his own image.
This is not a tour, it's just walking. With just a few words this would really be something. It's just strange. Like you had nothing better to do that day.
The Empire State Building, no longer the tallest but STILL the most iconic skyscraper on earth. The fabled Cathedral of the skies.

Very nice. I love this walk. Thanks for taking me with you.
It’s amazing how something from before Ww2 was the tallest building until 1970

Those animations of the construction makes me want Rockstar Games to do something in this time frame there.
as someone who hs a massive fear of heights, this was a nice way to be able to see all of NYC
An amazing place! I was there around 1971! Great video!
@Jefferson Villatoro Osorio he probably died before you made this reply

I LOVE THIS CITY ❤
My favorite skyscraper as a kid. I visited an uncle living NYC in 2000 and all I wanted to do was go up in the ESB.
Amazing views! But I WOULD NOT GO OUTSIDE NO WAY!
Great job. The best I have enjoyed.

I’m just tryna figure out how many doors each floor has because I’m making an essay on if there are more doors or wheels in the world rn
How did u get to tour the whole building by urself?
