You make the best how to videos. you should get a ktm since i heard they break so much. plus i own ktm 450 enduro. what does it mean when you have metal shavings in the crank case oil filter
Your clutch or something is grinding away ;( change oil frequent and make sure there isn’t too much of a lose from your riding. If there is then you may be leaking or burning oil. Oil is essential to good engine clutch piston the whole 9 yards. Do not want that shavings to get into anywhere and stop anything from moving. If possible it be best to buy a drain bolt for your bike that has the same bolt specifications but has a magnet 🧲 built in the tip to catch all the shavings and metal sludge. But your filter is already A1. Somehow I’d say inspect gear box or clutch disc you will likely need the harbor freight tiny electric mm ruler. To measure it properly to compare to spec’s
Question, I just drained my oil in my 2010 yz 450f and put in the 1 quart that it’s supposed to have (from what the owners manual says). I notice that when I start the bike, the oil goes to the top of the sightglass and starts bubbling a little bit. Looks like air bubbles floating to the top. Do I have too much oil!? Need help!
That’s normal. With some old oil still in it, it will mix with the new oil and make a couple bubbles. If you’re following the steps in the manual I wouldn’t worry about anything.
Basically advertisement for valvoline atv/utv 4 stroke oil 10w40 5$ a quart! I’m using valoline just because it’s cheap 10w40 atv Utv oil. Unsure wheather it is fully synthetic or not idc it’s valvoline Kentucky from Mexico. Also if you have an old big red Honda 3 or 4 wheeler marvelous 400$ machines for beginner riders with access to mild mechanics. Old owners say engines love that oil. Owners will too as it is cheap enough to change oil frequently. Turn the bottle over and it says: great for wet clutch gearbox and all. If not valvoline I’d use Mobile 1 or super tech whichever is cheapest! they all say 👍 wet clutch superior protection. And they all have the similar guidelines. Also Run fresh 91 pump gas in America for the yz 426 cuz there is a chance if you run dumb high octane over 95 like some race fuel or 93+ race fuel 50/50 mix what I hear some people do, then you will likely loose power cuz it will make the explosion slightly less violent. 87 you can get away with but it’s best to use 91, you never want to use a higher octane than you need to. But these babies have an almost high compression so 91 is best.
Word bro, thank you this helped a lot💯💯
