    Good points. But you can purchase a bottomless portafilter, non pressurized, and choose the manual setting to time the shot you want from the Delonghi.

      @@andylovephotography9717 you long press on the shot button for how many seconds you want to pour. Best is between 25-30 seconds for a single shot but keep in mind that the machine does a 1-2 second preinfuse.

      @@andylovephotography9717 there isn't a manual option. You can either deliver a standard amount of coffee as it is preset, or you can change the delivery amount per button. Delonghi has a 1 minute video on this called "How to programme the quantities on your Dedica Pump Coffee Maker".
      The people claiming that there is a manual mode either don't realize what they're doing is reprogramming the machine each time, or they don't realize that they're using a normal feature of the machine which allows you to draw more coffee through if you press and hold the button within 5 seconds at the end of coffee delivery.

    Spot on, watching this after my first use if this machine (ok, third by the time I figured it out). I think you nailed all the major hiccups. Need a separate grinder, tough for making multiple cappuccinos in a row, and limited flexibility. However, for home use, 1 or 2 drinks at a time, in conjunction with a grinder, great machine for the price. I like my American drip coffee, and now I can crank out a great cappuccino for the lady with ease. Nice and small and fits great in my small kitchen. Would highly recommend for those with limited space, funds and needs.

    Merci pour le vidéo. Je voulais savoir si je peux utiliser sans problème un filtre classique non-pressurisé avec la Delonghi Dedica en adaptant le porte-filtre évidemment. Mais surtout est-ce que la machine me permet de le faire correctement(au niveau pression etc.). Merci de me renseigner

      @Don Karbone, Oui sans probleme. Tu peux acheter un non pressurise filtre sur amazon pour £10 et ca fonctionnera parfaitement. Oui cette machine peut delivrer jusqu'a 15 bar de pressure et 9 suffira parfaitement. Je peux t'envoyai un lien pour le basket si tu n'est pas sur. If you are going to review a product, I guess at the very least you should have used it recently or remember clearly all features? The Dedica, while being a toy for any person who is serious about coffee, with a couple of fairly simple modifications, can deliver great results, with both coffee and milk. Thanks.

      @@jeffbuckleyfan4214 he didn't. He claims it's troublesome to make more than one drink at a time (he specifies making two coffees is a problem) meanwhile it's a breeze. I could be mistakenly but I believe the recommendation with this machine is to steam your milk first, then make your coffees.

    • @epmcgee
      @epmcgee ปีที่แล้ว

      It's not, that's how you burn coffee in this machine.

    • @ceecee8757

      @@epmcgee baloney. You steam your milk first.

    • @epmcgee
      @epmcgee ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ceecee8757 the steamer and the water dispenser utilize the same thermoblock. To steam milk the temperature has to rise above that of standard operation for pulling coffee.
      Once you've steamed the milk you will have to spend time bringing the temperature back down to allow this machine to pull the coffee. In that time your steamed milk is ruined as the foam has separated from the liquid.
      The only one talking baloney is you.

    Thx for your video. I have a jura impressa S90 and want to change to a barista machine. The problem you mentioned switching between coffee and steam you have with the most automatic coffee machines because the most of this machines have only one boiler too. so this is not a real problem for someone who want to change to a barista system.
    What i think about the dedica: its not the best on the market, but okay for those who start his barista experience and absolutely okay what you get for the price. you can change to an expensive one later if you unsatisfied with your coffee (machine)

      A:Answer There is a plastic insert in the portafilter and it can be removed, there are several youtube videos on this process. I do not know if this is where the BPA material is located.

      ABSOLUTELY AGREE.
      but
      the INNER tubing are also plastics.
      at this price point, there is no choice at all.
      you need to move to RANCILLO SILVA range to get copper tubings internal
      and
      full commercial portafilter.
      The reason an old timer like Rancillo is still in the market.

    • @maxmorris4562

      The amount of plastic is hardly anything though. Do you really see this to be an issue? Its not like a Tassimo where literally the entire thing is plastic.

    You can’t use the frother while the machine makes the coffee ?
    Also does the coffee come out hot or warm, seen a couple of people say it comes out cold ?

    • @epmcgee
      @epmcgee ปีที่แล้ว

      That's why he mentioned you should pull hot water through first, or let it heat up. You can also adjust the heat setting.
      I've been using it on default and the only times I've ever had an espresso that wasn't the heat I wanted is if I try to immediately pull a shot after the boiler is heated, but not the machine.
