- In this video, I show how you can be creative with some of the extra material you may have laying around the garage or shop. Never throw anything away! You never know when those 1ft scraps turn into a monster spray paint storage rack. I hope you enjoy.
Your design is far more useful than the commercially available ones. Well done.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
this would be great for wine bottles.....as for the circles you can drill a center hole in each and glue about 7 on a rod. Spray adhesive , put sand paper around it and attach to your drill and have a spindle sander
And that's why you have wooden walls in your shop! Nicely done. From the circle cutouts, you make coasters and invite the entire population of the airpark over for drinks.
Ha, that a great idea. Christmas gifts for all the family!
Then there's going to be more but smaller cutouts;)
Great idea - I've watched so many videos and was trying to figure out how to use the hole saw to cut the holes at an angle and then saw how you just mounted it an angle - sometimes the best things in life are simple !! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed the video
I have been going to build a tic tac board for neighbor boy . You have just showed me how to get the pieces. Thank you
Yes! I have all these tools. Definitely making this for my husband for Christmas 🥰
What an awesome Christmas gift!
Great video! Great commentary too!! Very well presented!! Starting mine tomorrow....
I glue cabinet liner or both sides of the rounds and use them for sanding biscuits to hold stuff steady
Ah, like nonslip pads, interesting
Vou fazer um .
Ótimo trabalho parabéns e obrigado por compartilhar!
This is a great idea. Just built some new shelves in my garage and was looking for better can storage and I like this idea. What were the measurements you went with? Obviously this can be build to any size needed but what did you end up going with and what angle did you lay the can holder out on? Thank you.
I just used my hole saw that was one size bigger than a paint can. As for the angle, I just used what looks good, maybe 10°-15°. One side is up an inch higher is how I laid it out.
Ace job, for the rounds I suggest votive candle holders 😊
That's a good idea. Glad you enjoyed the video!
As for the plywood rounds, how about making a connect 4 game?
Not a bad idea, lol. We need some big games for when we have people over.
make wooden boxes that fit under work bench put wheels on the sides in the rear end of box use a rope handle lift up slighty and pull drawer out the wheels do the work.
Hey my name is AJ and I'm a street artist I use spray paint everyday of my life I call my art rattle can art cuz I don't tag walls or property I do it in canvas and poster bored I probably go through 300 bucks in spray paint a month and always have a few of every color I don't have all the tools you do to make the shop like you got, but I was wondering if you could send me off in the right direction to accomplish that goal
The only "expensive" tools in this video were a table saw ($100 at a garage sale for mine) and a drill press ($40 at an estate sale for mine). You could easily do this with a circular hand saw and a normal power drill. Don't let lack of tools slow you down. Let whatever material you have on hand dictate the design. I didn't buy any material for this rack.
You could even use it for caulking
Wood rounds/cut outs - Christmas ornaments.
Oh, that's a good idea! Timely
I hope that wall is not between your shop and your home...it will go up like napalm if there's a fire. Flammable items are best kept in fire proof cabinet if your home is above or attached to your shop. Less convenient and more expensive....but smart.
Cheap and easy - has a $20,000 wood working shop at home

Great video. "Cheap and easy " if you have 3k in power tools....😅
You could build this with a handsaw and a drill if you don’t have a workshop of tools like this, just takes more planning and patience.
