    I built a version years ago. Left it at the old house. Appreciate you doing the math. 16 inches = 6 cans. Love it. Was going to post a pic but it won’t let me.

    Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I built the rack in the shop today! Love it! Can't wait to get it mounted. Much appreciate!

    Built one a week or 2 ago based on this video. Freed up a lot of space on my workbench. Next, I'm building the chop-saw bench! Bravo!

      They really hold a LOT of paint up and out of the way. Now we need to build an auto-replacement bot for the paint rack. Good luck on your chop saw bench. Ours was a game changer!

    Paint rack is cool. I’m definitely going to build one. Thanks for the video.

      You won't be sorry! This thing really decluttered the shop. We didn't realize how many paint cans we had until we consolidated them into this rack.

    Great video. Having dozens of rattle cans in the garage I made one for myself last night and it’s working perfectly and hanging tight on my French cleats. I think I have some sort of cosmic connection as I love all your videos!

      Glad you made one and French cleats are awesome! And we're extremely glad you like our videos! We are having a lot of fun making them!

    Hi, Great video, love the design of the rack. Question? Are you using 1x4? 1x6? or 1x8? I know, should be obvious?TY

      4"-6" inches wide! OK

    • @AtomicDairy
      @AtomicDairy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 6" boards, which means 5.5".

    I built one today, mine came up 1 board thickness too short on the side side boards,
    I must have zigged when I should have zagged. I still have a nice paint can storage.
    Thanks for the lesson.

      Oh no! But glad it worked out. It's amazing how much clutter these paint can racks eliminate from the wood shop.

      Unfortunately I was not. Dad flew the A-1 and A-7 and I grew up around amazing carrier people, but I was never one of them.

    This paint rack is crude, but it should be adequate to hold paint for it's journey to the Emperor............ wait, what? lol great paint rack

    That's some thick wood your using for some rattle can rack....wood is expensive.....paint rack weights more than the cans....lmao..

    • @AtomicDairy
      @AtomicDairy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point, but we built this in the before-time when lumber was cheaper. We'd tested quarter inch for the shelves but it wasn't thick enough for the job. If I did it again I'd probably use half inch wood. But maybe after lumber prices come down a little more!
